### Install wsrx CLI from Cargo

Source: https://github.com/xdsec/websocketreflectorx/blob/master/README.md

Install the command-line tool from Cargo. After installation, use 'wsrx' directly without the desktop application.

```bash
cargo install wsrx
```

--------------------------------

### Arch Linux: Install wsrx via paru

Source: https://github.com/xdsec/websocketreflectorx/blob/master/README.md

Install the appimage version or build from source using paru. The wsrx-bin package is deprecated and should not be used.

```bash
# Use the appimage version from release package
paru -S wsrx-appimage
# Use git version and build it from scratch
paru -S wsrx-git
```

--------------------------------

### Build wsrx from source

Source: https://github.com/xdsec/websocketreflectorx/blob/master/README.md

Build the project in release mode. The binary will be located in the 'target/release' directory.

```bash
cargo build --release --bins
```

### scrollbar_preview API and ScrollbarPreview struct

Source: https://github.com/xdsec/websocketreflectorx/blob/master/docs/scrollbar-preview.md

Defines the backend contract for the scrollbar preview. The backend receives a row window in its own indexing and returns a strip with geometry and one line per preview row. Must return at most row_window.len() lines and not parse beyond the window; empty lines hide the preview.

```rust
fn scrollbar_preview(&self, row_window: Range<u64>) -> ScrollbarPreview;
pub struct ScrollbarPreview {
    pub left: Pixels,   // strip x-offset inside the track — backend chooses
    pub width: Pixels,  // strip width — backend chooses (default: full track)
    pub lines: Vec<ScrollbarPreviewLine>,  // one line per preview row
}
// row_window: rows in the backend's own indexing (logical lines for text).
// Return at most row_window.len() lines; must not parse beyond the window.
// Each line is one preview pixel; the editor scales the strip to fill the
// track height. Empty lines hide the preview.
```

### macOS: Remove quarantine attribute from app

Source: https://github.com/xdsec/websocketreflectorx/blob/master/README.md

Run this command before using the desktop app on macOS. Apple Developer requirements are not met, so manual removal of the quarantine attribute is necessary.

```bash
sudo xattr -cr ./WebSocketReflectorX.app
```
