### Example: Create and populate SIMPLE1, call SIMPLE2RCV_ADV and RCV2SIMPLE_NUM, then query and drop tables

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/netezza?topic=operations-rcv2simple-num

This example creates a simple table SIMPLE1, inserts three rows, calls NZM..SIMPLE2RCV_ADV to convert it to a matrix (RCV1) and metadata (RCV_META1), then calls NZM..RCV2SIMPLE_NUM to convert back to a simple table (SIMPLE3). It then selects from the resulting tables and drops all created tables. The output shows the return values and the resulting tables.

```sql
**CREATE TABLE SIMPLE1 (ID INTEGER, V1 DOUBLE, V2 DOUBLE,
 V3 DOUBLE);
INSERT INTO SIMPLE1 VALUES(1,100001, 100002, 100003);
INSERT INTO SIMPLE1 VALUES(4, 200001, 200002, 200003);
INSERT INTO SIMPLE1 VALUES(9, 300001, 300002, 300003);
CALL NZM..SIMPLE2RCV_ADV('outtable=RCV1, outmeta=RCV_META1,
 intable=SIMPLE1, incolumnlist=., id=ID');
CALL NZM..RCV2SIMPLE_NUM('intable=RCV1,outtable=SIMPLE3,
 colprefix=column');
SELECT * FROM SIMPLE3;
SELECT * FROM RCV1;
SELECT * FROM RCV_META1;
### Initiate Netezza backup with nzbackup using NetBackup connector
Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/netezza?topic=server-initiate-backups-from-netezza-performance-cli
Use this syntax to start a backup from the command line. You must specify the NetBackup datastore server and NetBackup Policy. Alternatively, set the environment variables DATASTORE_SERVER and DATASTORE_POLICY, but the -connectorArgs argument takes precedence if both are provided.
```shell
nzbackup -db dbname -connector netbackup -connectorArgs
"DATASTORE_SERVER=NetBackup_master_server:DATASTORE_POLICY=
NetBackup_policy_name"
```
### Get SPUPad value with string_pad_get and commit
Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/netezza?topic=scuths-tables-spupad-operations-1
Retrieves the character at index 4 from the SPUPads using string_pad_get, returning one row per row in multi_dslice. The COMMIT ends the transaction started in the previous example.
```sql

### Run installation script

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/netezza?topic=overview-deploying-google-cloud-platform

From the install directory, run the installation script. The script validates configuration and CIDR ranges, checks required GCP APIs, creates infrastructure bucket, uploads files, creates Infrastructure Manager deployment, executes it, and monitors progress. Provides real-time monitoring with status updates every 10 seconds. Deployment typically takes 30-60 minutes.

```bash
cd install
python3 deploy_dataplane.py
```

### Run install.sh to start TSM installation

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/netezza?topic=backups-installing-tivoli-storage-manager-tsm-server-linux

Runs the install.sh script to start the TSM server installation. The second block shows the command as it appears at the root shell prompt.

```bash
./install.sh
```

```bash
[root@~ ~]# ./install.sh
```

### Example: precheck and deployment commands

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/netezza?topic=overview-deployment-procedure

Example commands for running precheck and deployment operations using the script at /opt/nps/nzswsetup.py. Precheck must be executed before deployment.

```bash
python3 /opt/nps/nzswsetup.py --operation=precheck
python3 /opt/nps/nzswsetup.py --operation=deployment
```

### Start replication for nodes with ./nzdr replication start

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/netezza?topic=30xx-setting-up-replication-between-systems

Use these commands to start replication for nodes that are not active. The example shows starting replication for CPDS-A and CPDS-B.

```text
[nz@e1n1-npshost nrs]$ ./nzdr replication start --node-name CPDS-A
Successfully started replication scheduler on node CPDS-A.
[nz@e1n1-npshost nrs]$ ./nzdr replication start --node-name CPDS-B
Successfully started replication scheduler on node CPDS-B.
```

### Verify package installation with nzIsPackageInstalled()

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/netezza?topic=library-cran

Checks whether a package is installed on Netezza using nzIsPackageInstalled(). The example verifies the installation of the bitops package.

```R
nzIsPackageInstalled(bitops)
```
