### Project root examples for ChatGPT setup

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/setup.md

Example project root lists for the ChatGPT setup question. Keep this narrow; these folders are the ones ChatGPT may open through DevSpace. A Coding Agents-only setup skips this question.

```text
~/personal,~/work
```

```text
/Users/alice/dev,/Users/alice/work
```

```text
C:\Users\alice\dev,C:\Users\alice\work
```

### TaskQuay setup and run commands (shell)

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/README.en.md

Commands to clone the fork, install pinned pnpm, install dependencies, build, and run the devspace CLI. Run in order after cloning.

```sh
git clone https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay.git
cd taskquay
npm install --global pnpm@11.25.0
pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
pnpm build
node bin/devspace.js init
node bin/devspace.js doctor
node bin/devspace.js serve
```

--------------------------------

### Initialize DevSpace with node bin/devspace.js init

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/setup.md

Run this command to start the interactive DevSpace setup flow. It asks one question at a time, first asking where you will use DevSpace (ChatGPT, Coding Agents, or both) and then configuring project roots, subagents, and Coding Agents accordingly.

```bash
node bin/devspace.js init
```

--------------------------------

### Filesystem Allowlist Examples

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/security.md

Examples of narrow filesystem roots for secure workspace configuration.

```text
~/work
~/personal/open-source
```

--------------------------------

### Install dependencies and seed the checkout

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/development.md

Run these commands in the checkout to install dependencies, seed the local DevSpace configuration and state, and start the dev server. The seed command creates an ignored .devspace-dev/ directory and copies the current config, auth file, skills, and agent profiles, rewriting the config so storage.stateDir points to the checkout-local state. If the checkout has not been seeded, pnpm dev stops with an instruction to run pnpm dev:seed.

```bash
pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
pnpm dev:seed
pnpm dev
```

--------------------------------

### Start the DevSpace server

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/setup.md

Run the server with the default configuration. Use this command to start DevSpace.

```bash
node bin/devspace.js serve
```

--------------------------------

### Install subagents skill globally

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/gotchas.md

Run this command to install the subagents skill globally for a Coding Agent. The Skills CLI handles agent discovery and installation.

```bash
npx skills add Waishnav/devspace --skill subagents --global
```

--------------------------------

### Set public base URL and start server

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/setup.md

Update the persisted public base URL if the tunnel URL changes, then start the server. The config set command updates the configuration file.

```bash
node bin/devspace.js config set publicBaseUrl https://taskquay.example.com
```

```bash
node bin/devspace.js serve
```

--------------------------------

### Run DevSpace doctor

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/setup.md

Check the setup. Reports resolved config, Node version, ABI, platform, Git, Bash, public URL, allowed hosts, and SQLite native dependency status.

```bash
node bin/devspace.js doctor
```

--------------------------------

### Regenerate DevSpace setup

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/gotchas.md

Use this command to regenerate the DevSpace setup when the owner password is not accepted.

```bash
npx @waishnav/devspace init --force
```

--------------------------------

### Complete DevSpace Configuration (JSONC)

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/configuration.md

Full DevSpace configuration file with all sections. Omitted sections use defaults; empty workspaces.allowedRoots uses the current working directory. Unknown keys are rejected. oauth.allowedResourceUrls must be HTTPS except for localhost/127.0.0.1/[::1] with optional ports; restart DevSpace after changing it.

### Console URL example

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/project-console.md

Shows the console URL path after updating DevSpace, appending /console/ to the service address.

```text
http://127.0.0.1:7676/console/
```

--------------------------------

### Install pnpm 11.25.0 globally

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/setup.md

Install the pinned pnpm version required for local checkout development.

```bash
npm install --global pnpm@11.25.0
```

--------------------------------

### Initialize and serve DevSpace with npx

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/gotchas.md

Use npx to run DevSpace commands when the devspace command is not found. Ensure npm's global bin directory is on PATH if installed globally.

```bash
npx @waishnav/devspace init
npx @waishnav/devspace serve
```

### agent_task start request

Source: https://github.com/wrfgup/taskquay/blob/main/docs/host-first-readonly-workflows.md

JSON request to start a read-only agent task with context. Requires actual returned refs, not placeholder hashes. The whole referenced file is hashed even if only a small range was shown. Refs are revalidated after queueing and after the turn.

```json
{
  "action":"start","workspace_id":"<workspace>","target":"codex",
  "task_key":"review-1","work_item_id":"example-fix","context_key":"example/reviewer",
  "read_only":true,"prompt":"Review the specified transition and adjacent tests.",
  "context":{"summary":"Host-verified facts and remaining questions.","files":[{"path":"src/example.ts","sha256":"<actual capture hash>"}]}
}
