### Initialize WoW UIDropDownMenu with Lua

Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt

Demonstrates how to initialize a UIDropDownMenu in World of Warcraft using Lua. This includes setting up a basic dropdown for difficulty selection and an example of a multi-level menu for settings.

```lua
-- Create a dropdown menu for selecting a difficulty level
local difficultyDropdown = CreateFrame("Frame", "MyDifficultyDropdown", UIParent, "UIDropDownMenuTemplate")
difficultyDropdown:SetPoint("CENTER", UIParent, "CENTER", 0, 100)
local selectedDifficulty = 1
local difficulties = {
    { text = "Easy", value = 1 },
    { text = "Normal", value = 2 },
    { text = "Hard", value = 3 },
    { text = "Nightmare", value = 4 },
}
local function DifficultyDropdown_Initialize(self, level)
    level = level or 1
    for i, difficulty in ipairs(difficulties) do
        local info = UIDropDownMenu_CreateInfo()
        info.text = difficulty.text
        info.value = difficulty.value
        info.checked = (selectedDifficulty == difficulty.value)
        info.func = function(self)
            selectedDifficulty = self.value
            UIDropDownMenu_SetSelectedValue(difficultyDropdown, self.value)
            UIDropDownMenu_SetText(difficultyDropdown, difficulty.text)
            print("Selected difficulty:", difficulty.text)
        end
        UIDropDownMenu_AddButton(info, level)
    end
end
UIDropDownMenu_Initialize(difficultyDropdown, DifficultyDropdown_Initialize)
UIDropDownMenu_SetWidth(difficultyDropdown, 150)
UIDropDownMenu_SetText(difficultyDropdown, "Easy")
-- Multi-level dropdown example with submenu
local function AdvancedDropdown_Initialize(self, level, menuList)
    if level == 1 then
        local info = UIDropDownMenu_CreateInfo()
        info.text = "Video Settings"
        info.hasArrow = true
        info.menuList = "VIDEO"
        info.notCheckable = true
        UIDropDownMenu_AddButton(info, level)
        info = UIDropDownMenu_CreateInfo()
        info.text = "Audio Settings"
        info.hasArrow = true
        info.menuList = "AUDIO"
        info.notCheckable = true
        UIDropDownMenu_AddButton(info, level)
    elseif menuList == "VIDEO" then
        for _, res in ipairs(resolutions) do
            local info = UIDropDownMenu_CreateInfo()
            info.text = res
            info.func = function() print("Selected resolution:", res) end
            UIDropDownMenu_AddButton(info, level)
        end
    elseif menuList == "AUDIO" then
        local volumes = {"Low", "Medium", "High"}
        for _, vol in ipairs(volumes) do
            local info = UIDropDownMenu_CreateInfo()
            info.text = vol
            info.func = function() print("Selected volume:", vol) end
            UIDropDownMenu_AddButton(info, level)
### Setup WoW Action Button with Lua
Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt
Creates a custom action button using WoW's ActionButtonTemplate, setting attributes for spell casting, item usage, and macro execution. It registers for relevant events and includes functions for updating button state, usability, cooldowns, and hotkeys.
```lua
function MyAddon_CreateActionButton(parent, id, actionSlot)
    local button = CreateFrame("CheckButton", "MyActionButton"..id, parent, "ActionButtonTemplate")
    button:SetID(actionSlot)
    button:SetSize(36, 36)

    -- ActionButton_OnLoad equivalent setup
    button.flashing = 0
    button.flashtime = 0
    button:SetAttribute("showgrid", 0)
    button:SetAttribute("type", "action")
    button:SetAttribute("action", actionSlot)
    button:SetAttribute("checkselfcast", true)
    button:SetAttribute("checkfocuscast", true)

    button:RegisterForDrag("LeftButton", "RightButton")
    button:RegisterForClicks("AnyUp")

    -- Register necessary events
    button:RegisterEvent("ACTIONBAR_UPDATE_STATE")
    button:RegisterEvent("ACTIONBAR_UPDATE_USABLE")
    button:RegisterEvent("ACTIONBAR_UPDATE_COOLDOWN")
    button:RegisterEvent("UPDATE_BINDINGS")

    button:SetScript("OnEvent", function(self, event, ...)
        if event == "ACTIONBAR_UPDATE_STATE" then
            ActionButton_UpdateState(self)
        elseif event == "ACTIONBAR_UPDATE_USABLE" then
            ActionButton_UpdateUsable(self)
        elseif event == "ACTIONBAR_UPDATE_COOLDOWN" then
            ActionButton_UpdateCooldown(self)
        elseif event == "UPDATE_BINDINGS" then
            ActionButton_UpdateHotkeys(self)
        end
    end)

    -- Initial update
    ActionButton_UpdateAction(button)
    ActionButton_UpdateHotkeys(button)

    return button
end

-- Create action bar with 12 buttons
local actionBar = CreateFrame("Frame", "MyActionBar", UIParent)actionBar:SetSize(12 * 40, 40)actionBar:SetPoint("BOTTOM", UIParent, "BOTTOM", 0, 50)

for i = 1, 12 do
    local btn = MyAddon_CreateActionButton(actionBar, i, i)
    btn:SetPoint("LEFT", actionBar, "LEFT", (i-1) * 40, 0)
end
```
### Get Context-Sensitive Button Attributes with SecureButton_GetModifiedAttribute (Lua)
Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt
Retrieves frame attributes based on modifier keys (Shift, Ctrl, Alt) and mouse button. This is crucial for implementing context-sensitive actions on secure action buttons, allowing different behaviors for different key combinations.
```lua
-- Create a secure button with modifier-based actions
local secureBtn = CreateFrame("Button", "MySecureButton", UIParent, "SecureActionButtonTemplate")
secureBtn:SetSize(40, 40)
secureBtn:SetPoint("CENTER")

-- Set up different actions for different modifier combinations
-- Normal left-click: cast Fireball
secureBtn:SetAttribute("type", "spell")
secureBtn:SetAttribute("spell", "Fireball")

-- Shift + left-click: cast Pyroblast
secureBtn:SetAttribute("shift-type1", "spell")
secureBtn:SetAttribute("shift-spell1", "Pyroblast")

-- Ctrl + left-click: cast Scorch
secureBtn:SetAttribute("ctrl-type1", "spell")
secureBtn:SetAttribute("ctrl-spell1", "Scorch")

-- Alt + left-click: use item
secureBtn:SetAttribute("alt-type1", "item")
secureBtn:SetAttribute("alt-item1", "Mana Gem")

-- Right-click: target self
secureBtn:SetAttribute("type2", "target")
secureBtn:SetAttribute("unit2", "player")

-- Getting modified attributes programmatically
secureBtn:SetScript("PreClick", function(self, button, down)
    -- This runs before the secure action
    local modPrefix = SecureButton_GetModifierPrefix()
    local btnSuffix = SecureButton_GetButtonSuffix(button)

    -- Get the type for current modifier+button combination
    local actionType = SecureButton_GetModifiedAttribute(self, "type", button)

    print("Modifier prefix:", modPrefix)
    print("Button suffix:", btnSuffix)
    print("Action type:", actionType or "default")
end)

-- Custom modifiers attribute for special behavior
secureBtn:SetAttribute("modifiers", "SELFCAST:self,ALT:alt")
-- This will return 'self' if selfcast modifier is held, or 'alt' if alt is held
```
### Initialize Unit Frame with Components (Lua)
Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt
Initializes a unit frame, setting up essential components like health bars, mana bars, portraits, and name text. This function is crucial for displaying unit information such as player, target, or party member details. It requires a parent frame, unit identifier, and various UI elements to be created beforehand.
```lua
-- Initialize a custom unit frame for displaying player information
function MyAddon_CreateUnitFrame(parent, unit)
    local frame = CreateFrame("Button", "MyUnitFrame", parent, "SecureUnitButtonTemplate")
    frame:SetSize(200, 60)

    -- Create health bar
    local healthBar = CreateFrame("StatusBar", "MyUnitFrameHealthBar", frame)
    healthBar:SetSize(180, 20)
    healthBar:SetPoint("TOP", frame, "TOP", 0, -5)
    healthBar:SetStatusBarTexture("Interface\TargetingFrame\UI-StatusBar")
    healthBar:SetStatusBarColor(0, 1, 0)

    -- Create mana bar
    local manaBar = CreateFrame("StatusBar", "MyUnitFrameManaBar", frame)
    manaBar:SetSize(180, 15)
    manaBar:SetPoint("TOP", healthBar, "BOTTOM", 0, -2)
    manaBar:SetStatusBarTexture("Interface\TargetingFrame\UI-StatusBar")
    manaBar:SetStatusBarColor(0, 0, 1)

    -- Create name text
    local nameText = frame:CreateFontString("MyUnitFrameName", "OVERLAY", "GameFontNormal")
    nameText:SetPoint("BOTTOM", frame, "TOP", 0, 2)

    -- Create portrait
    local portrait = frame:CreateTexture("MyUnitFramePortrait", "ARTWORK")
    portrait:SetSize(40, 40)
    portrait:SetPoint("LEFT", frame, "LEFT", 5, 0)

    -- Initialize the unit frame with all components
    UnitFrame_Initialize(
        frame,           -- self
        unit, -- unit ID ("player", "target", etc.)
        nameText,        -- name FontString
        portrait,        -- portrait Texture
        healthBar,       -- health StatusBar
        nil,             -- health text (optional)
        manaBar,         -- mana StatusBar
        nil,             -- mana text (optional)
        nil,             -- threat indicator (optional)
        nil, -- threat feedback unit (optional)
        nil -- threat numeric indicator (optional)
    )

    return frame
end

-- Usage
local playerFrame = MyAddon_CreateUnitFrame(UIParent, "player")

Shows a modal dialog box for user confirmations, input, or notifications. It supports customizable buttons, timeouts, and callback functions for user interactions. This function is essential for creating interactive UI elements within the game.

```lua
-- Define a custom static popup dialog
StaticPopupDialogs["MY_CONFIRM_ACTION"] = {
    text = "Are you sure you want to perform this action?",
    button1 = "Yes",
    button2 = "No",
    OnAccept = function(self, data)
        print("User confirmed action for:", data.itemName)
        -- Perform the confirmed action
        MyAddon_PerformAction(data.itemID)
    end,
    OnCancel = function(self, data, reason)
        print("User cancelled. Reason:", reason or "button click")
    end,
    OnShow = function(self, data)
        -- Customize dialog when shown
        self.text:SetFormattedText("Delete %s permanently?", data.itemName)
    end,
    OnHide = function(self)
        -- Cleanup when dialog hides
    end,
    timeout = 30,           -- Auto-close after 30 seconds
    whileDead = true,       -- Show even when player is dead
    hideOnEscape = true,    -- Close on Escape key
    showAlert = true,       -- Show alert icon
    exclusive = true,       -- Only one dialog at a time
}
-- Show the popup with custom data
local function MyAddon_ConfirmDelete(itemID, itemName)
    local dialog = StaticPopup_Show("MY_CONFIRM_ACTION")
    if dialog then
        dialog.data = {
### Create and Manage Custom Bag Frames (Lua)
Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt
Implements a custom bag frame for WoW 3.3.5, handling frame creation, item slot display, and updates based on bag events. It requires WoW API functions like CreateFrame, GetContainerNumSlots, and GetContainerItemInfo.
```lua
local function CreateCustomBagFrame(bagID)
    local frameName = "MyBagFrame"..bagID
    local frame = CreateFrame("Frame", frameName, UIParent)
    frame:SetID(bagID)

    local numSlots = GetContainerNumSlots(bagID)
    local rows = math.ceil(numSlots / NUM_CONTAINER_COLUMNS)

    -- Set frame size based on slots
    local width = NUM_CONTAINER_COLUMNS * 39 + 10
    local height = rows * 39 + 45
    frame:SetSize(width, height)

    -- Create background
    local bg = frame:CreateTexture(nil, "BACKGROUND")
    bg:SetAllPoints()
    bg:SetColorTexture(0, 0, 0, 0.8)

    -- Create title
    local title = frame:CreateFontString(nil, "OVERLAY", "GameFontNormal")
    title:SetPoint("TOP", frame, "TOP", 0, -10)
    title:SetText(GetBagName(bagID) or "Bag "..bagID)

    -- Create close button
    local closeBtn = CreateFrame("Button", nil, frame, "UIPanelCloseButton")
    closeBtn:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", frame, "TOPRIGHT", 0, 0)

    -- Create item slots
    frame.slots = {}
    for i = 1, numSlots do
        local slot = CreateFrame("Button", frameName.."Item"..i, frame, "ContainerFrameItemButtonTemplate")
        slot:SetID(i)

        local col = (i - 1) % NUM_CONTAINER_COLUMNS
        local row = math.floor((i - 1) / NUM_CONTAINER_COLUMNS)
        slot:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", frame, "TOPLEFT", 5 + col * 39, -35 - row * 39)

        frame.slots[i] = slot
    end

    -- Update function
    function frame:Update()
        for i = 1, numSlots do
            local slot = self.slots[i]
            local texture, itemCount, locked, quality, readable, lootable, itemLink = GetContainerItemInfo(bagID, i)

            local iconTexture = _G[slot:GetName().."IconTexture"]
            local countText = _G[slot:GetName().."Count"]

            if texture then
                iconTexture:SetTexture(texture)
                iconTexture:Show()

                if itemCount > 1 then
                    countText:SetText(itemCount)
                    countText:Show()
                else
                    countText:Hide()
                end

                -- Set quality border color
                if quality and quality > 1 then
                    local r, g, b = GetItemQualityColor(quality)
                    slot.IconBorder:SetVertexColor(r, g, b)
                    slot.IconBorder:Show()
                else
                    slot.IconBorder:Hide()
                end
            else
                iconTexture:Hide()
                countText:Hide()
                slot.IconBorder:Hide()
            end

            SetItemButtonDesaturated(slot, locked)
        end
    end

    -- Event handling
    frame:RegisterEvent("BAG_UPDATE")
    frame:RegisterEvent("ITEM_LOCK_CHANGED")
    frame:SetScript("OnEvent", function(self, event, arg1)
        if arg1 == bagID then
            self:Update()
        end
    end)

    frame:Update()
    return frame
end

-- Toggle bag visibility
function ToggleCustomBag(bagID)
    local frameName = "MyBagFrame"..bagID
    local frame = _G[frameName]

    if not frame then
        frame = CreateCustomBagFrame(bagID)
        frame:SetPoint("CENTER", UIParent, "CENTER")
    end

    if frame:IsShown() then
        frame:Hide()
    else
        frame:Show()

### Show Unit Tooltip with GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor

Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt

This Lua function, ShowUnitTooltip, is designed to display information about a game unit. It positions the tooltip using GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor and then attempts to set the unit's information using GameTooltip:SetUnit. It also retrieves and applies the unit's color to the first line of the tooltip text.

```lua
local function ShowUnitTooltip(frame, unit)
    GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor(GameTooltip, frame)
    if GameTooltip:SetUnit(unit) then
        local r, g, b = GameTooltip_UnitColor(unit)
        GameTooltipTextLeft1:SetTextColor(r, g, b)
    end
    GameTooltip:Show()
end
```

--------------------------------

### Position and Display Custom Tooltip Content with GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor

Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt

This Lua snippet demonstrates how to create a custom frame that triggers a tooltip on mouse enter. It utilizes GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor to position the tooltip relative to the custom frame and then populates it with various types of information, including item details, stats, and requirements. The tooltip is hidden on mouse leave.

```lua
local myFrame = CreateFrame("Frame", "MyTooltipFrame", UIParent)
myFrame:SetSize(100, 100)
myFrame:SetPoint("CENTER")
myFrame:EnableMouse(true)
local bg = myFrame:CreateTexture(nil, "BACKGROUND")
bg:SetAllPoints()
bg:SetColorTexture(0.2, 0.2, 0.2, 0.8)
myFrame:SetScript("OnEnter", function(self)
    -- Position tooltip at default location
    GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor(GameTooltip, self)
    -- Add custom content
    GameTooltip:AddLine("My Custom Item", 1, 1, 1)
    GameTooltip:AddLine("This is a description of the item.", nil, nil, nil, true)
    GameTooltip:AddLine(" ")
    GameTooltip:AddDoubleLine("Attack Power:", "+150", 1, 0.82, 0, 1, 1, 1)
    GameTooltip:AddDoubleLine("Stamina:", "+75", 1, 0.82, 0, 1, 1, 1)
    GameTooltip:AddLine(" ")
    GameTooltip:AddLine("Equip: Increases your critical strike chance by 2%.", 0, 1, 0)
    GameTooltip:AddLine(" ")
    GameTooltip:AddLine("Requires Level 80", 1, 0, 0)
    -- Show money in tooltip
    SetTooltipMoney(GameTooltip, 125000, nil, "Sell Price:")
    GameTooltip:Show()
end)
myFrame:SetScript("OnLeave", function(self)
    GameTooltip:Hide()
end)
```

--------------------------------

### Show Item Tooltip with GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor

Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt

This Lua function, ShowItemTooltip, utilizes GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor to position the tooltip relative to a given frame. It then uses GameTooltip:SetHyperlink to display information for a specific item, identified by its item link. The tooltip is then shown to the user.

```lua
local function ShowItemTooltip(frame, itemLink)
    GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor(GameTooltip, frame)
    GameTooltip:SetHyperlink(itemLink)
    GameTooltip:Show()
end
```

--------------------------------

### Show Spell Tooltip with GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor

Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt

The ShowSpellTooltip Lua function configures the game tooltip to display information about a spell. It first sets the default anchor using GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor and then uses GameTooltip:SetSpellByID to retrieve and display details for a spell based on its ID. Finally, it makes the tooltip visible.

```lua
local function ShowSpellTooltip(frame, spellID)
    GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor(GameTooltip, frame)
    GameTooltip:SetSpellByID(spellID)
    GameTooltip:Show()
end
```

### MoneyFrame_Update: Display Currency (Lua)

Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt

Updates a money frame to display currency amounts in gold, silver, and copper denominations with appropriate icons and formatting using Lua. It leverages SmallMoneyFrameTemplate and custom frame creation for flexible display options.

```lua
-- Create a custom money display frame
local function CreateMoneyDisplay(parent, name)
    local frame = CreateFrame("Frame", name, parent, "SmallMoneyFrameTemplate")
    MoneyFrame_SetType(frame, "STATIC")
    return frame
end
-- Display player gold
local playerMoneyFrame = CreateMoneyDisplay(UIParent, "MyPlayerMoney")
playerMoneyFrame:SetPoint("TOP", UIParent, "TOP", 0, -100)
local function UpdatePlayerMoney()
    local copper = GetMoney()
    MoneyFrame_Update("MyPlayerMoney", copper)
end
-- Register for money changes
playerMoneyFrame:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_MONEY")
playerMoneyFrame:SetScript("OnEvent", UpdatePlayerMoney)
UpdatePlayerMoney()
-- Custom money frame with manual control
local customMoney = CreateFrame("Frame", "MyCustomMoneyFrame", UIParent)
customMoney:SetSize(150, 20)
customMoney:SetPoint("TOP", UIParent, "TOP", 0, -130)
-- Create coin displays
local function CreateCoinFrame(parent, coinType, x)
    local frame = CreateFrame("Frame", nil, parent)
    frame:SetSize(50, 20)
    frame:SetPoint("LEFT", parent, "LEFT", x, 0)
    frame.text = frame:CreateFontString(nil, "OVERLAY", "GameFontNormal")
    frame.text:SetPoint("LEFT")
    frame.icon = frame:CreateTexture(nil, "ARTWORK")
    frame.icon:SetSize(13, 13)
    frame.icon:SetPoint("LEFT", frame.text, "RIGHT", 2, 0)
    if coinType == "gold" then
        frame.icon:SetTexture("Interface\MoneyFrame\UI-GoldIcon")
    elseif coinType == "silver" then
        frame.icon:SetTexture("Interface\MoneyFrame\UI-SilverIcon")
    else
        frame.icon:SetTexture("Interface\MoneyFrame\UI-CopperIcon")
    end
    return frame
end
customMoney.gold = CreateCoinFrame(customMoney, "gold", 0)
customMoney.silver = CreateCoinFrame(customMoney, "silver", 50)
customMoney.copper = CreateCoinFrame(customMoney, "copper", 100)
function customMoney:SetAmount(copper)
### Custom Quest Tracker Frame in Lua
Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt
This Lua code creates a custom quest tracker frame for World of Warcraft. It displays quest titles, levels, and objectives, updating dynamically based on game events like QUEST_LOG_UPDATE. Dependencies include the WoW API functions for quest log management.
```lua
-- Custom quest tracking frame
local QuestTracker = CreateFrame("Frame", "MyQuestTracker", UIParent)
QuestTracker:SetSize(250, 300)
QuestTracker:SetPoint("RIGHT", UIParent, "RIGHT", -20, 0)

local bg = QuestTracker:CreateTexture(nil, "BACKGROUND")
bg:SetAllPoints()
bg:SetColorTexture(0, 0, 0, 0.7)

local title = QuestTracker:CreateFontString(nil, "OVERLAY", "GameFontNormalLarge")
title:SetPoint("TOP", QuestTracker, "TOP", 0, -10)
title:SetText("Quest Tracker")

QuestTracker.questFrames = {}

local function CreateQuestEntry(parent, index)
    local frame = CreateFrame("Frame", nil, parent)
    frame:SetSize(230, 60)

    frame.title:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", 5, -5)
    frame.title:SetWidth(220)
    frame.title:SetJustifyH("LEFT")

### Update Player Buffs and Debuffs - Lua

Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt

This Lua script implements a custom buff tracking system for a WoW interface. It creates and manages UI elements to display player buffs and debuffs, including icons, counts, and durations. The script utilizes WoW API functions like UnitBuff and RegisterEvent to update the display dynamically.

```lua
-- Custom buff tracking system
local MyBuffTracker = CreateFrame("Frame", "MyBuffTracker", UIParent)
MyBuffTracker:SetSize(300, 100)
MyBuffTracker:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", UIParent, "TOPRIGHT", -200, -50)
MyBuffTracker.buffs = {}
-- Create buff button template
local function CreateBuffButton(parent, index)
    local button = CreateFrame("Button", parent:GetName().."Buff"..index, parent)
    button:SetSize(30, 30)
    button.icon = button:CreateTexture(nil, "ARTWORK")
    button.icon:SetAllPoints()
    button.count = button:CreateFontString(nil, "OVERLAY", "NumberFontNormal")
    button.count:SetPoint("BOTTOMRIGHT", 0, 0)
    button.duration = button:CreateFontString(nil, "OVERLAY", "GameFontNormalSmall")
    button.duration:SetPoint("BOTTOM", button, "BOTTOM", 0, -12)
    button.border = button:CreateTexture(nil, "OVERLAY")
    button.border:SetSize(34, 34)
    button.border:SetPoint("CENTER")
    button.border:SetTexture("Interface\Buttons\UI-Debuff-Overlays")
    button.border:SetTexCoord(0.296875, 0.5703125, 0, 0.515625)
    button:SetScript("OnEnter", function(self)
        GameTooltip_SetDefaultAnchor(GameTooltip, self)
        GameTooltip:SetUnitBuff("player", self.buffIndex)
        GameTooltip:Show()
    end)
    button:SetScript("OnLeave", function()
        GameTooltip:Hide()
    end)
    return button
end
-- Update buff display
function MyBuffTracker:UpdateBuffs()
    local buffIndex = 1
    local buttonIndex = 1
    while true do
        local name, icon, count, debuffType, duration, expirationTime, _, _, _, spellID = UnitBuff("player", buffIndex)
        if not name then break end
        -- Get or create button
        local button = self.buffs[buttonIndex]
        if not button then
            button = CreateBuffButton(self, buttonIndex)
            self.buffs[buttonIndex] = button
        end
        -- Position button
        button:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", self, "TOPLEFT", ((buttonIndex-1) % 10) * 35, -math.floor((buttonIndex-1) / 10) * 45)
        -- Update button display
        button.icon:SetTexture(icon)
        button.buffIndex = buffIndex
        if count > 1 then
            button.count:SetText(count)
            button.count:Show()
        else
            button.count:Hide()
        end
        -- Color border by debuff type (for debuffs)
        local color = DebuffTypeColor[debuffType] or DebuffTypeColor["none"]
        button.border:SetVertexColor(color.r, color.g, color.b)
        button:Show()
        buttonIndex = buttonIndex + 1
        buffIndex = buffIndex + 1
    end
    end
end
-- Register for aura updates
MyBuffTracker:RegisterEvent("UNIT_AURA")
MyBuffTracker:SetScript("OnEvent", function(self, event, unit)
    if unit == "player" then
        self:UpdateBuffs()
    end
end)
### SecureHandler_OnClick: Secure Frame Interaction (Lua)
Source: https://context7.com/wowgaming/3.3.5-interface-files/llms.txt
Executes secure handler code snippets when a secure frame is clicked. This allows for combat-safe attribute manipulation and frame state changes using Lua. It utilizes SecureHandlerStateTemplate and SecureHandlerClickTemplate for managing frame states and click events.
```lua
-- Create a secure state-based header for showing/hiding frames
local header = CreateFrame("Frame", "MySecureHeader", UIParent, "SecureHandlerStateTemplate")
header:SetSize(100, 30)
header:SetPoint("CENTER")

-- Create managed frames
local contentFrame = CreateFrame("Frame", "MyContentFrame", UIParent)
contentFrame:SetSize(200, 150)
contentFrame:SetPoint("CENTER", 0, -100)
local bg = contentFrame:CreateTexture(nil, "BACKGROUND")
bg:SetAllPoints()
bg:SetColorTexture(0.2, 0.2, 0.8, 0.8)

-- Store frame reference for secure code
header:SetFrameRef("content", contentFrame)

-- Create toggle button with secure click handler
local toggleBtn = CreateFrame("Button", "MySecureToggle", header, "SecureHandlerClickTemplate")
toggleBtn:SetSize(100, 30)
toggleBtn:SetAllPoints()
toggleBtn:SetNormalTexture("Interface\Buttons\UI-Panel-Button-Up")
toggleBtn:SetPushedTexture("Interface\Buttons\UI-Panel-Button-Down")
toggleBtn:SetHighlightTexture("Interface\Buttons\UI-Panel-Button-Highlight")

local btnText = toggleBtn:CreateFontString(nil, "OVERLAY", "GameFontNormal")
btnText:SetPoint("CENTER")
btnText:SetText("Toggle Panel")

-- Set up secure click handling
toggleBtn:SetAttribute("_onclick", [[
    local content = self:GetParent():GetFrameRef("content")
    if content:IsShown() then
        content:Hide()
    else
        content:Show()
    end
]])

-- State-driven visibility example
RegisterStateDriver(header, "visibility", "[combat] hide; show")

-- Attribute-based state switching
local stateBtn = CreateFrame("Button", "MyStateButton", UIParent, "SecureHandlerClickTemplate")
stateBtn:SetSize(100, 30)
stateBtn:SetPoint("CENTER", 0, 50)

-- State machine in secure code
stateBtn:SetAttribute("state", "closed")
stateBtn:SetAttribute("_onclick", [[
    local currentState = self:GetAttribute("state")
    if currentState == "closed" then
        self:SetAttribute("state", "open")
        -- Secure code to show frame
    else
        self:SetAttribute("state", "closed")
        -- Secure code to hide frame
    end
]])

-- Wrap for secure state changes
stateBtn:WrapScript(stateBtn, "OnClick", [[
    print("Pre-click state:", self:GetAttribute("state"))
]], [[
    print("Post-click state:", self:GetAttribute("state"))
]])
