### Define Custom Winston Transport in JavaScript

Source: https://github.com/winstonjs/winston-transport/blob/master/README.md

Illustrates how to create a custom Winston transport by inheriting from `winston-transport`, defining a constructor for options, and implementing the `log` method for handling log entries. This provides a foundation for integrating Winston with external logging services or custom destinations.

```javascript
const Transport = require('winston-transport');
const util = require('util');
//
// Inherit from `winston-transport` so you can take advantage
// of the base functionality and `.exceptions.handle()`.
//
module.exports = class CustomTransport extends Transport {
  constructor(opts) {
    super(opts);
    //
    // Consume any custom options here. e.g.:
    // - Connection information for databases
    // - Authentication information for APIs (e.g. loggly, papertrail,
    //   logentries, etc.).
    //
  }
  log(info, callback) {
    setImmediate(() => {
      this.emit('logged', info);
    });
    // Perform the writing to the remote service
    callback();
  }
};
```
