Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

Navigates to the ios directory and installs native iOS dependencies using CocoaPods after the SDK package has been added to the project.

```bash
pod install
```

--------------------------------

### Link React Native Package (Legacy)

Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

For React Native versions below 0.69, this command links the installed SDK package to your React Native project. This step is not required for newer versions.

```bash
react-native link react-native-zohosalesiq-mobilisten
```

--------------------------------

### Install Zoho SalesIQ SDK Package

Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

Installs the Zoho SalesIQ Mobilisten SDK package into your React Native project using npm. This is the primary step to add the SDK's functionality.

```bash
npm install react-native-zohosalesiq-mobilisten --save
```

--------------------------------

### Configure Gradle Repositories

Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

Add the Zoho Maven repository to your project's settings.gradle file to allow Gradle to download the SalesIQ SDK. This is required for Gradle versions 6.8 and above.

```kotlin
dependencyResolutionManagement {
    repositoriesMode.set(RepositoriesMode.FAIL_ON_PROJECT_REPOS)
    repositories {
        google()
        mavenCentral()
        // Add the Zoho Maven URL here
        maven { url = uri("https://maven.zohodl.com") }
    }
}
```

```groovy
dependencyResolutionManagement {
    repositoriesMode.set(RepositoriesMode.FAIL_ON_PROJECT_REPOS)
    repositories {
        google()
        mavenCentral()
        // Add the Zoho Maven URL here
        maven { url 'https://maven.zohodl.com' }
    }
}
```

--------------------------------

### AndroidManifest Backup Configuration

Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

Attributes to be added to the `<application>` tag in `AndroidManifest.xml` to correctly reference the custom backup and data extraction rule files created for the Mobilisten SDK.

```xml
android:dataExtractionRules="@xml/merged_data_extraction_rules"
android:fullBackupContent="@xml/merged_backup_rules"
tools:replace="android:fullBackupContent,android:dataExtractionRules,android:allowBackup"
```

--------------------------------

### Add Zoho Maven Repository (Gradle)

Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

Adds the Zoho Maven repository to your project's root build.gradle or settings.gradle file. This allows Gradle to fetch the necessary SDK artifacts from Zoho's repository.

```gradle
// Add the following to your project's root build.gradle file.
allprojects {
   repositories {
      google()
      mavenCentral()
      // ...
      maven { url 'https://maven.zohodl.com' }
   }
}
```

--------------------------------

### Configure Android Application for SalesIQ

Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

Set up your Android application to integrate Zoho SalesIQ by adding a lifecycle callback to your Application class. This ensures proper tracking of app lifecycles and listener callbacks.

```xml
<application
    android:label="@string/app_name"
    android:icon="@drawable/ic_launcher"
    android:name=".MyFlutterApplication">
```

```java
import com.zohosalesiq.reactlibrary.RNZohoSalesIQ;
public class MainApplication extends Application implements ReactApplication {
    //...
    @Override
    public void onCreate() {
        RNZohoSalesIQ.registerCallbacks(this);
        super.onCreate();
    }
}
```

--------------------------------

### Configure Podfile for Older RNZohoSalesIQ

Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

For RNZohoSalesIQ versions below 10.0.0, this configuration is added to the Podfile to specify the local path for the RNZohoSalesIQ pod. Remember to remove this path when updating to newer versions.

```ruby
pod 'RNZohoSalesIQ', :path => '../node_modules/react-native-zohosalesiq-mobilisten/ios'
```

--------------------------------

### ProGuard Rule for Mobilisten SDK

Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

Adds a ProGuard rule to prevent the R8 compiler from aggressively removing essential classes required by the Mobilisten SDK. This rule should be added to your `proguard-rules.pro` file when `minifyEnabled` is true.

```proguard
-dontwarn kotlinx.parcelize.Parcelize
```

--------------------------------

### Initialize Zoho SalesIQ SDK in React Native

Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

Initialize the Zoho SalesIQ SDK in your React Native application's App.js file using your generated App Key and Access Key. This code handles platform-specific keys for iOS and Android.

```javascript
import { Platform } from 'react-native';
import { ZohoSalesIQ } from 'react-native-zohosalesiq-mobilisten';
var appKey;
var accessKey;
if (Platform.OS == 'ios') {
    appKey = "ios_appKey";
    accessKey = "ios_accessKey";
} else {
    appKey = "android_appKey";
    accessKey = "android_accessKey";
}
ZohoSalesIQ.initWithCallback(appKey, accessKey, (success) => {
    if (success) {
        ZohoSalesIQ.Launcher.show(ZohoSalesIQ.Launcher.VisibilityMode.ALWAYS);
        // To show the default live chat launcher, you can use the
        // setLauncherVisibility API. Alternatively, you may use the 'Avail
        // floating chat button for your app' option under Settings → Brands →
        // Installation → Android/iOS.
    } else {
        // your code to handle initialization failure
    }
});
```

--------------------------------

### Android Permissions for Zoho SalesIQ

Source: https://www.zoho.com/salesiq/help/developer-section/react-native-sdk-installation

Declare necessary permissions in your AndroidManifest.xml for Zoho SalesIQ to function correctly. INTERNET is mandatory for network operations, and SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM is required for proactive chatbot triggers.

```xml
<!-- Required for network-related operations -->
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
<!-- Required for proactive chatbot triggers after a specified duration -->
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM" />
```

--------------------------------

### Enable New Architecture (iOS)
