## Yandex Direct API v5 Overview

### Description
The Yandex Direct API v5 provides programmatic access to manage advertising campaigns. It supports operations such as creating, updating, deleting, and retrieving campaign elements like ads, keywords, and bids. The API also facilitates the retrieval of performance statistics.

### API Structure
The API is organized into web services, each dedicated to a specific object class (e.g., `AdGroups`, `Ads`). Each service offers a set of methods for performing operations:

*   `add`: Adds new objects.
*   `update`: Modifies existing objects.
*   `delete`: Removes objects.
*   `get`: Retrieves object parameters.

Some services may include additional specific methods, like `moderate` for sending ads to moderation.

### Access to API
Access to the Yandex Direct API is free. Applications interact with the API on behalf of Yandex Direct users (advertisers and agencies). Authorization is handled via OAuth 2.0, requiring an authorization token in requests. Applications must be registered prior to making API calls.

### Interaction Format
Requests to the API are made over HTTPS using the POST method. The authorization token and other special parameters are sent in the HTTP header. Input and output data structures are transmitted in the request and response bodies. The API supports both JSON and SOAP/XML formats for data exchange.
