- determine cancelled
```
--------------------------------
### to_upper_case and to_lower_case argument types example
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/reference/template
Shows how to convert a value to uppercase or lowercase. The example uses 'to_upper_case' to transform the 'tier' argument and then uses it in a template.
```yaml
items:

  default:test:

    template: mmoitems:tier_item

    arguments:

      tier: common

      name: "Test Item"

templates:

  mmoitems:tier_item:

    template: mmoitems:tier_item/internal

    arguments:

      tier.uppercase:

        type: to_upper_case

        value: "${tier}"

        locale: en

  mmoitems:tier_item/internal:

    data:

      item_name: "<!i><white><image:${tier}> ${name}"

      nbt:

        MMOITEMS_TIER: ${tier.uppercase}

```
--------------------------------
Example YAML configuration for the bush_block behavior. It sets blacklist to false (whitelist mode), disables stacking, sets delay to 0 for instant break on invalid support, and lists bottom blocks and block tags. Comments explain each option.
```yaml
blocks:

  default:fairy_flower:

    behavior:

      type: bush_block

      blacklist: false # true = blacklist, false = whitelist

      stackable: false # allow same-type stacking on top of each other

      max_height: 0 # max stack height, only meaningful when stackable is true (>1 required)

      delay: 0 # check delay in ticks, 0 = instant break on invalid support

      bottom_blocks: # specific blocks to check (optional)

        - custom:xxx

        - minecraft:stone

### Get furniture variant and variants list

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/compatibility/denizen

Use <EntityTag.ce_furniture_variant> to get the current variant name of a CraftEngine furniture, and <EntityTag.ce_furniture_variants> to get a list of all variant names. The example narrates both the current variant and the full list.

```denizen
- narrate "The chair variant is <player.precise_target.ce_furniture_variant>, all: <player.precise_target.ce_furniture_variants>"
```

--------------------------------

### Define and use a template to generate sound paths (tutorial:common_sounds)

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/advanced/template_in_action

Defines a template named tutorial:common_sounds that expands five sound paths using the ${sound_type} placeholder, then uses it in settings with sound_type set to block.stone. The placeholder is replaced at expansion time, generating the five lines. This is the simplest template example in the tutorial.

```yaml
# Define the template
templates:
  tutorial:common_sounds:
    break: minecraft:${sound_type}.break
    step: minecraft:${sound_type}.step
    place: minecraft:${sound_type}.place
    hit: minecraft:${sound_type}.hit
    fall: minecraft:${sound_type}.fall
```

```yaml
# Use it
settings:
  template: tutorial:common_sounds
  arguments:
    sound_type: block.stone
```

--------------------------------

### Get server-wide CraftEngine ID lists

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/compatibility/denizen

Use <server.ce_block_ids>, <server.ce_item_ids>, and <server.ce_furniture_ids> to get lists of all loaded CraftEngine block, item, and furniture IDs. The example narrates the number of loaded custom blocks.

```denizen
- narrate "Loaded <server.ce_block_ids.size> custom blocks!"
```

--------------------------------

### Create a resource pack with /ce resource create

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/getting_start/project_structure

Run this command in-game to generate the full pack structure. The argument 'tutorial' becomes the pack name, folder name, and default namespace. It auto-creates pack.yml and the configuration/ and resourcepack/ folders. If you get 'pack already exists', delete the existing tutorial folder or choose a different name.

```text
/ce resource create tutorial
```

--------------------------------

```
--------------------------------
### Create items.yml via command line
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/getting_start/project_structure
Navigate to the configuration directory and create items.yml. Use 'touch items.yml' on Linux/Mac or 'ni items.yml' in Windows PowerShell. The filename must be exactly items.yml, not items.yml.txt.
```bash
# Navigate to the configuration directory
cd plugins/CraftEngine/resources/tutorial/configuration

# Linux / Mac
touch items.yml

# Windows PowerShell
ni items.yml
```
--------------------------------
### Check if item is CraftEngine and get its ID
```denizen
- if <player.item_in_hand.is_ce_item>:
  - narrate "You are holding <player.item_in_hand.ce_id>!"
```
--------------------------------
### Get and send custom block state
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/compatibility/skript
Example for the CraftEngine Block State expression. Sends the block state of the mined block to the player.
```skript
on mine:
    send event-block's ce block state to event-player
```
--------------------------------
### Get possible block states for a CraftEngine block
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/compatibility/denizen
Use <ce_possible_states[<block_id>]> to get a list of all possible block states of a CraftEngine block ID, in a form directly usable by the placeceblock command. The example iterates over the possible states for "default:togglable_light_block" and narrates each.
```denizen
- foreach <ce_possible_states[default:togglable_light_block]> as:state:
  - narrate "<[state]>"
```
--------------------------------
### Place the tutorial sword texture
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/getting_start/item_models
Download the tutorial sword texture and place it at this path in your resource pack.
```text
resourcepack/assets/tutorial/textures/item/toxic_sword.png
```
--------------------------------
### Check if entity is CraftEngine furniture and get its ID
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/compatibility/denizen
Use <EntityTag.is_ce_furniture> to check if the entity is part of a CraftEngine furniture (base entity, seat, or collider), and <EntityTag.ce_id> to get its furniture ID like "default:wooden_chair". The example narrates the furniture ID if the target is a furniture.
```denizen
- if <player.precise_target.is_ce_furniture.if_null[false]>:
  - narrate "You are looking at <player.precise_target.ce_id>!"
```
--------------------------------
### Auto-built download URL example
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/getting_start/set_up_host/self
Shows the default download URL format auto-built from `ip`, `port`, and `protocol`. This is the URL sent to players when `url` is not set.
```text
http://111.222.333.444:8163/download/default

```
--------------------------------
### Set custom block property and place updated block
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/compatibility/skript
Example for getting or setting a single property of a custom block state. Note that block states are immutable: setting a property replaces the state in the variable. This example parses a block state, changes its 'facing' property, and places the updated block.
```skript
set {_s} to "default:table_lamp[lit=true]" parsed as custom block state
    set custom block property "facing" of {_s} to "south"
    place custom block {_s} at target block
```
--------------------------------
### on_liquid_block behavior configuration example
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/configuration/block/behaviors/on_liquid_block
Configures a block with the on_liquid_block behavior, specifying the liquid types it can sit on (default water) and whether stacking is allowed. Use this in a block definition to make it behave like a lily pad on liquid sources.
```yaml
blocks:

  default:reed:

    behavior:

      type: on_liquid_block

      liquid_type: # which liquids it can sit on (default ["water"])

        - water

      stackable: false # allow stacking on same block type
```
--------------------------------
### Get item with /ce item get
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/reference/commands
Gets a specific quantity of an item (1–9999, default 1).
```text
/ce item get [item-id] (amount)
```
--------------------------------
### SpawnCEFurniture Command Examples
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/compatibility/denizen
--------------------------------
### Model generation example with parent, textures, display, and gui_light
Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/configuration/item/models/model
Shows a complete `generation` configuration for a sword item. The `parent` field is required; `textures`, `display`, and `gui_light` are optional. The `display` block defines per-context transforms like `thirdperson_righthand`.
```yaml
items:

  demo:sword:

    material: diamond_sword

    model:

      path: demo:item/sword

      generation:

        parent: minecraft:item/handheld

### Example C: Same State Matching Multiple Variants

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/configuration/block/states

Shows two variant entries that can both match the same internal state, with later entries overriding earlier ones for the same settings key. Final settings are {resistance:50.0, fluid_state:water, luminance:15}.

```yaml
variants:
  waterlogged=true:
    settings:
      resistance: 100.0
      fluid_state: water
  facing=up:
    settings:
      resistance: 50.0     # ← overrides the previous 100.0, final resistance=50.0
      luminance: 15        # ← new addition, final luminance=15
```

--------------------------------

### Matching rule: filename

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/reference/file_conflict

Match the filename. The example matches 'sounds.json'.

```yaml
type: filename
name: "sounds.json"
```

--------------------------------

### Map argument type example

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/reference/template

Defines an argument as a map of key-value pairs. The example shows an argument named 'arg_1' with two options.

```yaml
arguments:
  arg_1:
    option1: value1
    option2: value2
```

--------------------------------

### Combine storage and glowing behaviors

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/configuration/furniture/behaviors

Attach multiple behaviors to one furniture piece using the 'behaviors' list. The example combines simple storage and glowing furniture, with the glowing behavior using a shorthand for light positions: 'x,y,z level'.

```yaml
furniture:
  default:lit_cabinet:
    behaviors:
      - type: simple_storage_furniture
        title: "Cabinet"
        rows: 2
        sounds:
          open: minecraft:block.barrel.open
          close: minecraft:block.barrel.close
      - type: glowing_furniture
        lights:
          - 0,0.5,0 15                      # shorthand: "x,y,z level"
```

--------------------------------

### Variant Key Format Example

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/configuration/block/states

Shows the YAML structure for defining variant keys with property constraints and optional settings overrides. The order of properties does not affect matching.

```yaml
variants:
  waterlogged=false:           # constrains one property
    appearance: default
  waterlogged=true:            # constrains one property + overrides settings
    appearance: waterlogged
    settings:
      resistance: 1200.0
      fluid_state: water
  facing=up:                   # constrains one property, overrides settings only
    settings:
      luminance: 15
```

--------------------------------

### Example: image tag with format argument

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/reference/text_format

Uses the image tag with a format argument to apply formatting to the image.

```yaml
item_name: "<!i><red><image:default:icons:'<!shadow><white>'> Topaz Rod"
```

--------------------------------

### Enable optional pack with /pack enable optional

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/getting_start/workflows/multi_pack

Enables the optional pack and its dependency `default`, even if the player previously disabled the main pack. Preferences are saved for later connections.

```text
/pack enable optional
```

--------------------------------

### Arguments: Define and use template parameters

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/reference/template

Shows how to define parameters in a template using `${xxx}` and set their values with the `arguments` section when calling the template. Parameters are applied sequentially, so a defined parameter is immediately available for subsequent parameters.

```yaml
templates:
  craftengine:apple_template:
    material: apple
    data:
      food:
        nutrition: "${nutrition}"
        saturation: "${saturation}"
items:
  craftengine:custom_apple:
    template: craftengine:apple_template
    arguments:
      nutrition: 1
      saturation: 2.5
```

--------------------------------

### on_cooldown usage example

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/reference/conditions

Example usage of the on_cooldown condition in an events configuration. Sets a 30-second cooldown, runs a command, and checks the cooldown condition.

```yaml
events:
  - on: right_click
    functions:
      - type: set_cooldown
        id: test
        time: 30s
      - type: command
        command: give <arg:player.name> minecraft:apple
    conditions:
      - type: "!on_cooldown"
        id: test
```

--------------------------------

### self_increase_int argument type example

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/reference/template

Performs an increment or decrement operation whenever the '${id}' variable is replaced. The example increments from 0 to 20 with a step of 1.

```yaml
arguments:
  id:
    type: self_increase_int
    from: 0
    to: 20
    step: 1
    step_interval: 1
```

--------------------------------

### Matching rule: exact

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/reference/file_conflict

Match the exact path. Two examples are shown: one for a language file and one for pack.mcmeta.

```yaml
type: exact
path: "assets/minecraft/lang/en_us.json"
type: exact
path: "pack.mcmeta"
```

### Configuring an updater with data and updater steps

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/configuration/item/updater

Example configuration for an item `default:my_sword` showing the `data` section for new items and the `updater` section with versioned steps. The golden rule is that `data` builds new items and `updater` patches old ones; they must agree. If you add an updater but forget to update `data`, new items will be stuck with old values.

```yaml
items:
  default:my_sword:
    material: stone_sword              # ← new items start here
    data:
      item_name: Stone Sword
      lore:
        - "Final lore"
    updater:
      1:
        type: apply_data
        data:
          item_name: Stone Sword       # old items: rename
      2:
        - type: apply_data
          data:
            lore:
              - "Final lore"           # old items: add lore
        - type: transmute
          material: stone_sword        # old items: change material
```

--------------------------------

### Loop all custom block states

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/compatibility/skript

Loop through all possible states of a custom block. This example sends each state to the player.

```skript
loop all states of custom block "default:table_lamp":
    send "%loop-value%"
```

--------------------------------

### Condition argument type example

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/reference/template

Selects a parameter value based on a condition. The example uses a condition to choose between 'leaves' and 'cube_all' based on the 'tintable' variable.

```yaml
arguments:
  leaves_base_model:
    type: condition
    condition: "${tintable:-false}"
    on_true: leaves
    on_false: cube_all
```

--------------------------------

### Configure furniture sounds with volume and pitch

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/configuration/furniture/settings

Allows precise control of volume and pitch for each sound event. The example shows a break sound with custom pitch and volume, and a place sound with a different sound ID.

```yaml
sounds:
  break:
    id: minecraft:block.deepslate.break
    pitch: 0.5
    volume: 0.25
  place: minecraft:block.deepslate.step
```

--------------------------------

### Placed feature example (YAML)

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/configuration/worldgen_feature

Example placed_feature.yml that restricts generation to specific biomes and dimension types, and uses placement modifiers including rarity_filter, heightmap, and biome.

```yaml
placed_features:
  default:palm_tree:
    biome:
      - minecraft:beach
    dimension_type:
      - minecraft:overworld
    feature: default:palm_tree
    placement:
      - type: 'minecraft:rarity_filter'
        chance: 7
      - type: 'minecraft:heightmap'
        heightmap: WORLD_SURFACE
      - type: 'minecraft:biome'
```

--------------------------------

### Define item with model for furniture

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/getting_start/first_furniture

Defines the item 'tutorial:my_chair' with a paper material and a custom model. This is the first step to create furniture, as furniture displays an item's model.

```yaml
items:
  tutorial:my_chair:
    material: paper
    model: tutorial:item/chair
```

--------------------------------

### Break CraftEngine Furniture Event Example

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/compatibility/denizen

Triggers when a player breaks a CraftEngine furniture. Cancellable. The example narrates the furniture id and determines NOTHING to prevent drops.

```denizen
on player breaks ce furniture default:wooden_chair:
- narrate "You just broke a wooden chair!"
- determine NOTHING
```

--------------------------------

### Enable light-system in config.yml

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/configuration/furniture/behaviors/glowing_furniture

Required configuration to enable the light system for glowing furniture. Must set furniture.light-system.enable to true.

```yaml
furniture:
  light-system:
    enable: true
```

--------------------------------

### Configure resource pack hosting in config.yml

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/getting_start/set_up_host

Configure packs under `resource-pack.packs` in `config.yml`. Use the pack ID as the key and `type` to choose the hosting method. The example shows the default self-hosting type with `default: true` to enable it when the player has no saved preference.

```yaml
resource-pack:
  packs:
    default: # Unique pack ID
      type: self      # Hosting type
      default: true   # Enabled when the player has no saved preference
```

--------------------------------

### block_shear loot source example

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/configuration/loot_source

Configures a loot source that triggers when a player shears a block, such as a beehive or pumpkin. The target is a block ID. This example uses overwrite: items.

```yaml
loot_sources:
  minecraft:shear_pumpkin:
    type: block_shear
    target: "minecraft:pumpkin"
    overwrite: items
    loot:
      pools:
        - rolls: 1
          entries:
            - type: item
              item: "minecraft:carved_pumpkin"
```

--------------------------------

### Break CraftEngine Block Event Example

Source: https://xiao-momi.github.io/craft-engine-wiki/compatibility/denizen

Triggers when a player breaks a CraftEngine custom block. Cancellable. The example narrates the block id and can be used with a switch to specify an item.

```denizen
on player breaks ce block block:
- narrate "You just broke a <context.id>!"
```

```denizen
on player breaks ce block default:togglable_light_block with:diamond_pickaxe:
- narrate "No drops for you!"
- determine NOTHING
```
