### Setup: Add scoreboard objective

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/commands/on-player-leave

Adds the dummy objective 'wiki:player_count' used by the system to track player count. Run this command in chat once.

```mcfunction
/scoreboard objectives add wiki:player_count dummy
```

--------------------------------

### system.clearJob: Cancel a queued job

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/scripting/script-server

Cancels a job queued via system.runJob using the job ID returned by that call. The example starts a block-placing job and cancels it after 20 ticks, sending a confirmation message.

```javascript
import { system, world } from "@minecraft/server";
function* blockPlacingGenerator(size, startX, startY, startZ) {
    const overworld = world.getDimension("overworld");
    for (let x = startX; x < startX + size; x++) {
        for (let y = startY; y < startY + size; y++) {
            for (let z = startZ; z < startZ + size; z++) {
                const block = overworld.getBlock({ x: x, y: y, z: z });
                if (block) block.setType("minecraft:cobblestone");
                yield;
            }
        }
    }
}
const callbackId = system.runJob(blockPlacingGenerator(10, -2, -60, 1));
system.runTimeout(() => {
    system.clearJob(callbackId); // stops the system.runJob callback from running after 20 ticks
    world.sendMessage("Stopped");
}, 20);
```

### Custom Dog Example - onEntity handler for kennel upgrade

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/blocks/block-events

Handles the wiki:on_upgrade event to upgrade a regular kennel to a large kennel.

```javascript
onEntity({ name, block }) {
    if (name === "wiki:on_upgrade") {
        // Upgrade regular kennel to large kennel
        block.setType("wiki:large_kennel");
    }
}
```

--------------------------------

### Normalize query.movement_direction with Molang

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/documentation/queries

Normalizes the three components returned by query.movement_direction to obtain the actual normalized velocity vector. The source notes that the raw values change with entity speed, so this setup is required to get a consistent direction vector.

```molang
variable.mag = math.sqrt( math.pow( query.movement_direction(0), 2 ) + math.pow( query.movement_direction(1), 2) + math.pow( query.movement_direction(2), 2));
variable.xNorm = query.movement_direction(0) / variable.mag;
variable.yNorm = query.movement_direction(1) / variable.mag;
variable.zNorm = query.movement_direction(2) / variable.mag;
```

--------------------------------

### system.runInterval: Run a callback repeatedly at a fixed interval

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/scripting/script-server

Starts executing the callback after the first interval and then repeats continuously. The tickInterval parameter is in ticks; 20 ticks equals one second. The example sends a message every 20 ticks.

```javascript
import { system, world } from "@minecraft/server";
system.runInterval(() => {
    world.sendMessage("This message runs every 20 ticks (once per second)");
}, 20);
```

### XOR gate example with /execute unless

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/commands/logic-gates

XOR gate example: runs if the player has exactly one of the tags red or green. If the player has both tags, the command will not run.

```minecraft-command
/execute as @p unless entity @s[tag=!red,tag=!green] unless entity @s[tag=red,tag=green] run say success
```

--------------------------------

### Sleep detection function (is_sleeping.mcfunction)

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/commands/detect-movements

Detects when a player is sleeping by checking if their hitbox is reduced to 0.2 blocks. The score increments while sleeping, allowing single-execution commands when sleep starts. Replace the example commands with your own, using the scores selector as shown.

```mcfunction
## Sleep Detection
### Mark as not sleeping
execute as @a at @s if entity @s[y=~0.3, dy=0] run scoreboard players set @s wiki:q.is_sleeping 0
### Mark as sleeping
execute as @a at @s unless entity @s[y=~0.3, dy=0] run scoreboard players add @s wiki:q.is_sleeping 1
## Your Commands Here (Examples)
execute as @a[scores={wiki:q.is_sleeping=0}] run say I'm not sleeping
execute as @a[scores={wiki:q.is_sleeping=1}] run say I started sleeping
execute as @a[scores={wiki:q.is_sleeping=1..}] run say I'm still sleeping
```

### Breeze environment_sensor for idle ground sound control

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/entities/vuc-full

Breeze example: stops the idle ground sound when on ground with a target and the sound property is true; starts it when the property is false and either off ground or without a target. Uses bool_property with domain minecraft:is_playing_idle_ground_sound.

```json
"minecraft:environment_sensor": {
    "triggers": [
        {
            "filters": {
                "all_of": [
### Apply loot to suspicious gravel with minecraft:append_loot processor
Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/loot/randomized-structure-loot
Example processor list for a jigsaw structure. Uses a minecraft:rule processor with block_entity_modifier type minecraft:append_loot to apply a loot table to suspicious gravel. Note that all matching blocks in the template get the same loot; different loot per chest requires separate rules for each rotation.
```json
{
    "processor_type": "minecraft:rule",
    "rules": [
        {
            "block_entity_modifier": {

### on_first_join.mcfunction: give items and mark joined

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/commands/on-first-join

Commands to run when a player joins for the first time. The two give commands are examples; replace them with any commands you need. The tag command must come last to mark players as joined so the commands do not repeat.

```mcfunction
give @a[tag=!wiki:joined] stone_pickaxe
```

```mcfunction
give @a[tag=!wiki:joined] bread 16
```

```mcfunction
tag @a[tag=!wiki:joined] add wiki:joined
```

--------------------------------

### Translate component example

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/text/rawtext

Displays a localized string. The output shows '%s joined the game' where %s is a placeholder for a name.

```json
/tellraw @a { "rawtext": [{ "translate": "multiplayer.player.joined" }] }
#Output in chat:
#    %s joined the game
```

### Create info, tip, warning, danger, and details containers

Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/contribute-style

Creates four types of containers (info, tip, warning, danger) plus a details container. The details container is not recommended because it is not styled properly and not really needed.

```markdown
:::info
Some info here
:::
:::tip
A tip here
:::
:::warning
A warning here
:::
:::danger
A dangerous place
:::
:::details
Some necessary details here
### Initialize World on First Load (on_initialise.mcfunction)
Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/commands/dynamic-displays
Initializes the world on first load by adding objectives, setting constants, and marking the world as initialized.
```mcfunction
## Add Objectives
function wiki/scoreboard/objectives/add_all

## Initialize All Constant & Variable Scores
function wiki/scoreboard/players/set_all

## Mark World as Initialized
scoreboard players set .World wiki:q.is_initialised 1
```
### JSON code example with comments (copper_coin.json)
Source: https://wiki.bedrock.dev/contribute-style
Example JSON file for a custom item (BP/items/copper_coin.json) demonstrating the recommended comment style and formatting. Use CodeHeaders, prettify JSON when it improves readability, and use RP and BP as root folders.
```json
{
    "format_version": "1.26.50",
    "minecraft:item": {
        "description": {
            // Describing an object with components.
            "identifier": "wiki:copper_coin",
            "menu_category": {
                "category": "construction"
            }
        },
        "components": {
            "minecraft:max_stack_size": 64, // Short description of a value/component.
            // Make notes about a group of specific components (icon and glint in our case) used below this way.
            "minecraft:icon": "wiki:copper_coin",
            "minecraft:glint": 3.5
        }
    }
}

```json
"x": {
	"distribution": "fixed_grid",
	"extent": [0, 15]
},
"z": {
	"distribution": "fixed_grid",
	"extent": [0, 15]
},
"y": 0
```
