### Install a Built Package with VDPM

Source: https://vitasdk.org

Example command to install a package that has been built using `vita-makepkg`. The package file is typically a .tar.xz archive.

```bash
vdpm ./name-version-arm.tar.xz
```

--------------------------------

### Install Vita SDK Package Manager

Source: https://vitasdk.org

Clone the Vita SDK package manager repository, navigate into it, and run the bootstrap and install scripts. This installs the toolchain and common libraries.

```bash
git clone https://github.com/vitasdk/vdpm
cd vdpm
./bootstrap-vitasdk.sh
./install-all.sh
```

--------------------------------

### Build a Package with Vita SDK's makepkg

Source: https://vitasdk.org

Example command to build a package using the Vita SDK's `vita-makepkg` utility. This is used after cloning the vitasdk/packages repository and navigating to a directory with a VITABUILD file.

```bash
vita-makepkg
```

--------------------------------

### Build a Vita Executable with CMake

Source: https://vitasdk.org

Example CMakeLists.txt for creating a Vita executable. The `vita_create_self` macro is used to build the SELF executable format.

```cmake
cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 3.3)
project("hello_world")
find_package(vita2d REQUIRED)
add_executable(app/main.o main.c)
vita_create_self("app/main.o")
```

--------------------------------

### Set Vita SDK Environment Variables

Source: https://vitasdk.org

Set the VITASDK environment variable to your installation directory and add the toolchain to your PATH. This is recommended to be added to your .bashrc or equivalent.

```bash
export VITASDK=/usr/local/vitasdk
export PATH=$VITASDK/bin:$PATH # add vitasdk tool to $PATH
```

--------------------------------

### Create a Vita Package (VPK) with CMake

Source: https://vitasdk.org

Example CMakeLists.txt for creating a VPK package. The `vita_create_vpk` macro is used to package the SELF executable along with data files and LiveArea assets.

```cmake
cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 3.3)
project("hello_world")
find_package(vita2d REQUIRED)
add_executable(app/main.o main.c)
vita_create_self("app/main.o")
vita_create_vpk(my_app)
```
