### Implement Playwright BDD Step Definitions

Source: https://vitalets.github.io/playwright-bdd/index

This code illustrates the implementation of step definitions for BDD scenarios within a Playwright test environment. Each Gherkin step (Given, When, Then) is mapped to an asynchronous JavaScript function that utilizes Playwright's page object model and assertions. These definitions allow the execution of tests against web pages.

```javascript
Given('I am on Playwright home page', async ({ page }) => {
  await page.goto('https://playwright.dev');
});
When('I click link {string}', async ({ page }, name) => {
  await page.getByRole('link', { name }).click();
});
Then('I see in title {string}', async ({ page }, text) => {
  await expect(page).toHaveTitle(new RegExp(text));
});
```

### Convert BDD Feature to Playwright Test

Source: https://vitalets.github.io/playwright-bdd/index

This snippet demonstrates the conversion of a BDD feature file written in Gherkin syntax to a Playwright test file. It shows how a 'Feature' and 'Scenario' in Gherkin are translated into a 'test.describe' block with individual 'test' cases in Playwright. The generated code utilizes Playwright's testing API.

```javascript
import { test } from 'playwright-bdd';
test.describe('Playwright Home Page', () => {
  test('Check title', async ({ Given, When, Then }) => {
    await Given('I am on Playwright home page');
    await When('I click link "Get started"');
    await Then('I see in title "Installation"');
  });
});
```

### Generate Playwright tests from BDD feature files

Source: https://vitalets.github.io/playwright-bdd/index

This command generates Playwright test files from BDD feature files. It takes feature files as input and outputs executable Playwright test scripts, enabling the automation phase of the BDD workflow. Dependencies include the 'bddgen' package.

```bash
npx bddgen && npx playwright test
```
