### Agent response style prompt configuration

Source: https://docs.verticalai.com.au/docs/getting-started

Example of the response style rules used in the agent's prompt to ensure reliable spoken output.

```text
Everything you say is read aloud, so reply with only the words the caller should
hear, and keep your reasoning silent. Keep it to one or two short sentences a
turn. Never state a price, a fact, or a policy from memory: look it up with a
tool first, then say what it returned. Speak prices, numbers and phone numbers
in spoken form ("one hundred and nine dollars", digits one at a time), with no
bullet points and no dashes.
```

--------------------------------

### Edit agent command

Source: https://docs.verticalai.com.au/docs/claude-code-setup

Example of a natural language prompt to modify an existing agent's configuration and tools.

```text
Open my support agent. Tighten the greeting, add a tool that looks up an
order by its number, and tell me what's blocking publish.
```

--------------------------------

--------------------------------

### Define tool prerequisites

Source: https://docs.verticalai.com.au/docs/tools

Specify a list of tools that must successfully execute before the current tool can be called.

```text
get_order_status    requires: verify_order_code
start_return        requires: verify_order_code
```

--------------------------------
