### Install truststore with pip

Source: https://truststore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Install the truststore package from PyPI using pip. Requires Python 3.10 or later.

```bash
$ python -m pip install truststore
```

--------------------------------

### Install Django using system trust stores with pip

Source: https://truststore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Enable pip's experimental truststore feature with the --use-feature=truststore flag. Requires truststore installed in the same environment and Python 3.10 or later.

```bash
# Install Django using system trust stores
$ python -m pip install --use-feature=truststore Django
```

--------------------------------

### Create truststore.SSLContext for finer control

Source: https://truststore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Create a truststore.SSLContext instance and pass it to libraries that accept an ssl_context parameter. This example shows using it with urllib3's PoolManager.

```python
import ssl
import truststore
ctx = truststore.SSLContext(ssl.PROTOCOL_TLS_CLIENT)
import urllib3
http = urllib3.PoolManager(ssl_context=ctx)
resp = http.request("GET", "https://example.com")
```

--------------------------------

### Inject truststore into ssl module globally

Source: https://truststore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Call truststore.inject_into_ssl() early in your program to make all libraries that use ssl.SSLContext automatically use system trust stores. This example shows it working with urllib3, aiohttp, and requests. Note: this function is intended only for applications and scripts, not libraries.

```python
import truststore
truststore.inject_into_ssl()
# Automatically works with urllib3, requests, aiohttp, and more:
import urllib3
http = urllib3.PoolManager()
resp = http.request("GET", "https://example.com")
import aiohttp
http = aiohttp.ClientSession()
resp = await http.request("GET", "https://example.com")
import requests
resp = requests.get("https://example.com")
```

--------------------------------

### Use truststore with aiohttp via inject_into_ssl

Source: https://truststore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Inject truststore globally and use aiohttp's ClientSession to make asynchronous requests with system trust stores.

```python
import aiohttp
import truststore
truststore.inject_into_ssl()
async with aiohttp.ClientSession() as http_client:
    async with http_client.get("https://example.com") as http_response:
        ...
```

--------------------------------

### Use truststore with Requests via inject_into_ssl

Source: https://truststore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Inject truststore globally and use requests.request to make requests that verify certificates with system trust stores.

```python
import requests
import truststore
truststore.inject_into_ssl()
resp = requests.request("GET", "https://example.com")
```

--------------------------------

### Use truststore with urllib3 via inject_into_ssl

Source: https://truststore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Inject truststore globally and then use urllib3's PoolManager to make requests that verify certificates with system trust stores.

```python
import urllib3
import truststore
truststore.inject_into_ssl()
http = urllib3.PoolManager()
resp = http.request("GET", "https://example.com")
```

--------------------------------

### Use truststore.SSLContext with aiohttp

Source: https://truststore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Pass a truststore.SSLContext instance to aiohttp's ClientSession via the ssl parameter for finer control.

```python
import ssl
import aiohttp
import truststore
ctx = truststore.SSLContext(ssl.PROTOCOL_TLS_CLIENT)
async with aiohttp.ClientSession(ssl=ctx) as http_client:
    async with http_client.get("https://example.com") as http_response:
        ...
```

--------------------------------

### Use truststore.SSLContext with urllib3

Source: https://truststore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Pass a truststore.SSLContext instance to urllib3's PoolManager via the ssl_context parameter for finer control.

```python
import ssl
import urllib3
import truststore
ctx = truststore.SSLContext(ssl.PROTOCOL_TLS_CLIENT)
http = urllib3.PoolManager(ssl_context=ctx)
resp = http.request("GET", "https://example.com")
```

--------------------------------

### ImportError on unsupported platforms

Source: https://truststore.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

On Python 3.9 and earlier, or macOS 10.7 and earlier, importing truststore raises ImportError with an informative message.

```python
# On Python 3.9 and earlier:
import truststore  # Raises 'ImportError'
# On macOS 10.7 and earlier:
import truststore  # Raises 'ImportError'
```
