### Start JHelioviewer with increased memory (Windows command line)

Source: https://swhv.oma.be/user_manual

Use these commands to launch JHelioviewer from the Windows command line with a maximum heap size of 4GB to reduce out-of-memory errors. The commands assume JHelioviewer is installed in the default location; adjust the path if installed elsewhere.

```batch
cd "C:\Program Files\JHelioviewer\classes"
```

```batch
..\jre\bin\java.exe -Xmx4g --add-exports java.desktop/sun.awt=ALL-UNNAMED --add-exports java.desktop/sun.swing=ALL-UNNAMED -cp JHelioviewer.jar;natives-windows.jar org.helioviewer.jhv.JHelioviewer
```

### Check Java heap size settings (Windows command line)

Source: https://swhv.oma.be/user_manual

Run this command to display the Java heap size flags, including the MaxHeapSize value, which indicates the maximum memory Java can allocate.

```batch
"C:\Program Files\JHelioviewer\jre\bin\java.exe" -XX:+PrintFlagsFinal -version | findstr /R /C:"HeapSize"
```
