```text
https://yoursite.com/promo-page?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=spring_sale_2026
Configure a custom start script in package.json that executes a shell script to export necessary environment variables before starting the application.
```json
  "scripts": {
    "start": "./start.sh"
  },
```
```bash
#!/bin/bash

export MY_ENV_VARIABLE ${DXP_NODE_PORT}
node docroot/server.js

### Token replacement in settings.php

Source: https://support.dropsolid.io/user-guides/platform-user-guides/devops-developing-with-the-platform/how-to-guides-for-devops/how-to-devops-environment/deployment-of-an-environment/general-deployment/switching-from-the-drupal-specific-to-the-general-git-reference-deployment-method

Example of using placeholders for database credentials and environment-specific settings in Drupal configuration.

```php
<?php
      $db_name = '[[ database_name ]]';
      $db_user = '[[ database_user ]]';
      $db_pass = '[[ database_password ]]';
      $db_host = '[[ database_host ]]';
      $db_port = '[[ database_port ]]';
      $db_driver = 'mysql';
      $db_prefix = '';
[...]
      $settings['hash_salt'] = '[[ env_secret_key ]]';
[...]
      // List of trusted IPs (IP numbers of our reverse proxies)
      $settings['reverse_proxy_addresses'] = array_merge(['127.0.0.1'], explode(',','[[ proxy_ips ]]'));
      // Now that token support is in you can also use a token to determine Drupal's deployment identifier
      $settings['deployment_identifier'] = \Drupal::VERSION . '[[ unix_timestamp_at_deploy_time ]]';
      if (file_exists(DRUPAL_ROOT . '/../etc/drupal/additional_settings.[[ environment_name ]].php')) {
        include DRUPAL_ROOT . '/../etc/drupal/additional_settings.[[ environment_name ]].php';
      }
[...]
```

--------------------------------

### Sync database using Drush

```bash
ddev drush sql:sync @<my project>.staging @self
```

--------------------------------

### Token replacement in deploy.sh

Source: https://support.dropsolid.io/user-guides/platform-user-guides/devops-developing-with-the-platform/how-to-guides-for-devops/how-to-devops-environment/deployment-of-an-environment/general-deployment/switching-from-the-drupal-specific-to-the-general-git-reference-deployment-method

Example of using environment tokens within a shell script for configuration management.

```bash
#!/bin/sh
[...]
  # Ensure CMI knows about the split.
  ${DRUSH} config_import_single:single-import ../config/sync/config_split.config_split.[[ environment_name ]].yml
[...]
```

--------------------------------

### Example platform.sanitize.yml Structure

The base configuration file structure for defining sanitization rules.

```yaml
mysqldump_path: <path-to-overridden-mysqldump> (only necessary on externally hosted environments)
structure_only:
  - ^cache.*
  - ^sessions$
sql:
  table name:
    column name:
      expression: "NULL"
    column name 2:
      replace: userName
  table name 2:
    column name:
      expression: CONCAT(column name 2, "-addendum")
    column name 2:
      replace: phoneNumber
```

fatal: '/var/repositories/customprojects_D8/<project_name>' does not appear to be a git repository
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.
```
Examples of using SQL expressions to sanitize user data fields.
```yaml
 sql:
   users_field_data:
     mail:
       expression: CONCAT(`uid`, "@example.com") or "CONCAT(uid, \"@example.com\")" or CONCAT(uid, '@example.com')
     name:
       expression: uid or "uid" or "`uid`" or 'uid'
     pass:
       expression: "NULL" or 'NULL'
```
```yaml
 sql:
   users_field_data:
     mail:
       expression: CONCAT("uid", "@example.com") or "CONCAT(\"uid\", \"@example.com\")" or CONCAT('uid', '@example.com')
     name:
       expression: "\"uid\"" or "'uid'"
     pass:
       expression: "\"NULL\"" or "'NULL'"
