### Get Current GDB Architecture (Guile)

Source: https://sourceware.org/gdb/download/onlinedocs/gdb.html/Architectures-In-Guile

The `current-arch` procedure returns the currently active architecture within GDB as a `<gdb:arch>` object. This is essential for performing architecture-dependent operations, such as type lookups.

```scheme
;; Scheme Procedure: current-arch
;; Return the current architecture as a <gdb:arch> object.
```

### GDB Command Line Flags: Continue, Silent, Quiet

Source: https://sourceware.org/gdb/download/onlinedocs/gdb.html/Ada-Tasks

Explains GDB flags that control error reporting and output verbosity. The `-c` flag ensures errors are displayed, while `-s` silently ignores errors and empty output. The `-q` flag disables task information printing. Note that `-c` and `-s` cannot be used together.

```text
-c: continue (display errors, execution continues)
-s: silent (ignore errors or empty output, execution continues silently)
-q: quiet (disable printing task information)
Flags -c and -s cannot be used together.
```

--------------------------------

### Get Registers by Group in GDB Python

Source: https://sourceware.org/gdb/download/onlinedocs/gdb.html/Architectures-In-Python

Retrieves an iterator for all registers belonging to a specified register group. If no group is specified, it defaults to the 'all' group. This allows programmatic access to register information.

```python
# Get all registers
all_registers = gdb.Architecture.registers()
# Get registers from a specific group (e.g., 'general')
 general_registers = gdb.Architecture.registers('general')
```

### Setting Breakpoints on Overloaded Functions (GDB)

Source: https://sourceware.org/gdb/download/onlinedocs/gdb.html/Ambiguous-Expressions

Demonstrates how to set a breakpoint on an overloaded function name in GDB. When an ambiguity is detected, GDB presents a menu of choices, allowing the user to select specific definitions.

```gdb
(gdb) b String::after
[0] cancel
[1] all
[2] file:String.cc; line number:867
[3] file:String.cc; line number:860
[4] file:String.cc; line number:875
[5] file:String.cc; line number:853
[6] file:String.cc; line number:846
[7] file:String.cc; line number:735
> 2 4 6
Breakpoint 1 at 0xb26c: file String.cc, line 867.
Breakpoint 2 at 0xb344: file String.cc, line 875.
Breakpoint 3 at 0xafcc: file String.cc, line 846.
Multiple breakpoints were set.
Use the "delete" command to delete unwanted
 breakpoints.
### Define GDB Command Alias
Source: https://sourceware.org/gdb/download/onlinedocs/gdb.html/Aliases
Defines a new alias for an existing GDB command. The alias can include default arguments and can be an abbreviation of the command. The syntax is `alias [-a] [--] alias = command [default-args]`.
```gdb
(gdb) alias btfullall = backtrace -full -frame-arguments all
```
```gdb
(gdb) alias -a di = disas
```
```gdb
(gdb) alias -a set print elms = set print elements
```
```gdb

```
```gdb
(gdb) alias spe = set print elements
```
### Apply Command to Ada Tasks with GDB
Source: https://sourceware.org/gdb/download/onlinedocs/gdb.html/Ada-Tasks
The 'task apply [task-id-list | all] [flag]… command' allows executing a specified command on one or more Ada tasks. You can target specific tasks by their IDs or apply the command to all tasks. Flags control output and error handling during the command execution.
```gdb
(gdb) task apply all bt

```
```gdb
p *array@len
```
Source: https://sourceware.org/gdb/download/onlinedocs/gdb.html/Ambiguous-Expressions
The `set multiple-symbols` command in GDB allows configuration of how the debugger behaves when encountering ambiguous expressions. Options include automatically selecting all matches, prompting the user for disambiguation, or aborting the command.
```gdb
set multiple-symbols mode

```
```gdb
show multiple-symbols

```
Shows how to handle Ada's case-insensitivity in GDB by enclosing GNAT compiler's internal upper-case identifiers in angle brackets to prevent them from being mapped to lower case.
```gdb-commands
(gdb) print <JMPBUF_SAVE>[0]
```
