### Quick Install Examples

Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/reference/commands/install

Common usage patterns for installing skills from GitHub, local paths, or configuration files.

```bash
# From GitHub (shorthand)
skillshare install anthropics/skills/skills/pdf
# Browse available skills in a repo
skillshare install anthropics/skills
# From local path
skillshare install ~/Downloads/my-skill
# As tracked repo (for team sharing)
skillshare install github.com/team/skills --track
# Install into a subdirectory (organize by category)
skillshare install ~/my-skill --into frontend
# Install all skills from config (no arguments)
skillshare install
```

--------------------------------

### Quick Start Installation and Sync

Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs

```bash
# Install
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/runkids/skillshare/main/install.sh | sh
# Initialize (auto-detects CLIs, sets up git)
skillshare init
# Install a skill
skillshare install anthropics/skills/skills/pdf
# Sync to all targets
skillshare sync
```

--------------------------------

### Initialize skillshare with interactive prompts

```
--------------------------------
### Install Command Usage Examples
Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/reference/commands/install
Common command-line patterns for installing skills, including blocking, forcing, skipping audits, and overriding thresholds.
```bash
# Blocked — critical threat detected
skillshare install evil-skill
# → Installation blocked at active threshold. Use --force to override.

# Force install despite warnings
skillshare install suspicious-skill --force

# Skip scan entirely (use with caution)
skillshare install suspicious-skill --skip-audit

# Per-command threshold override (same meaning)
skillshare install suspicious-skill --audit-threshold high
skillshare install suspicious-skill --threshold high
skillshare install suspicious-skill -T h
```
--------------------------------
### Initial Setup for Team Members
Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/how-to/sharing/organization-sharing
Commands to install the organization skills repository and sync it with AI CLIs.
# Install the organization skills repo
skillshare install github.com/org/skills --track
# Sync to your AI CLIs
skillshare sync
```

--------------------------------

### Setup Skillshare on a New Machine

Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/how-to/recipes/cross-machine-sync-recipe

Installs the CLI, initializes the environment, and pulls existing configurations from the remote repository to sync local targets.

```bash
# Install skillshare
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/runkids/skillshare/main/install.sh | sh
# Initialize
skillshare init
# Pull from remote
skillshare pull
# Sync to local targets
skillshare sync
```

--------------------------------

### Install and Sync a Tracked Repository

Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/understand/tracked-repositories

Use the --track flag during installation to maintain the .git directory, followed by a sync command to finalize the setup.

```bash
skillshare install github.com/team/shared-skills --track
skillshare sync
```

--------------------------------

### List installed skills

Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/reference/commands/list

Basic usage examples for listing skills in different formats.

```bash
skillshare list              # Interactive TUI (default on TTY)
skillshare list --verbose    # Detailed plain text view
skillshare list --json       # JSON output for CI/scripts
```

--------------------------------

### Automate Project Setup

Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/how-to/sharing/project-setup

Use these commands to clone a repository and automatically install and sync all project skills defined in the configuration.

```bash
git clone github.com/team/my-project
cd my-project
skillshare install -p && skillshare sync
```

--------------------------------

### Install and Initialize skillshare

Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/learn/with-multiple-tools

Run the installation script and initialize the tool to auto-detect installed AI targets.

```bash
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/runkids/skillshare/main/install.sh | sh
skillshare init
```

skillshare install anthropics/skills --dry-run
```
--------------------------------
### Manual setup for cross-machine sync
Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/how-to/sharing/cross-machine-sync
Perform a manual clone and initialization if you prefer full control over the setup process.
```bash
# Clone directly, then init with existing source
git clone git@github.com:you/my-skills.git ~/.config/skillshare/skills
skillshare init --source ~/.config/skillshare/skills
skillshare sync
```
--------------------------------
### Initialize skillshare non-interactively
Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/how-to/sharing/cross-machine-sync
Use these commands for automated setup without prompts, either starting fresh or importing from existing tools.
```bash
# Remote already has your skills (or start fresh source)
skillshare init --remote git@github.com:you/my-skills.git --no-copy --all-targets --no-skill

# First machine with existing Claude skills: import during init
skillshare init --remote git@github.com:you/my-skills.git --copy-from claude --all-targets --no-skill
```
--------------------------------
### Install from Local Paths
Source: https://skillshare.runkids.cc/docs/reference/appendix/url-formats
Use absolute, home directory shorthand, or relative paths to install skills from the local filesystem. Note that local installs copy files and do not support updates.
```bash
# Absolute path
skillshare install /home/user/my-skill

# Home directory shorthand
skillshare install ~/my-skill

# Relative path
skillshare install ./local-skill
```
--------------------------------
