### Start Docker containers with build flag

Source: https://docs.recipesage.com/docs/development/getting-started

Use this command to start the Docker containers with the --build flag. It is recommended to pass --build only when dependencies in package.json have been changed, as the dev containers auto-reload otherwise.

```bash
docker compose up --build -d
```

### Markdown table syntax for notes

Source: https://docs.recipesage.com/docs/tutorials/recipes/edit-recipe

Create tables in the notes field using markdown table syntax. Each row must start and end with a pipe, and a separator row of dashes is required after the header row.

```markdown
| Header 1 | Header 2 | Header 3 |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Row 1 Col 1 | Row 1 Col 2 | Row 1 Col 3 |
| Row 2 Col 1 | Row 2 Col 2 | Row 2 Col 3 |
```

### Run backend tests with nx

Source: https://docs.recipesage.com/docs/development/getting-started

Executes the backend test suite using nx with environment variables NODE_ENV=test and POSTGRES_LOGGING=false. This is the command for running backend tests.

```bash
docker compose exec backend env NODE_ENV=test POSTGRES_LOGGING=false npx nx test backend
### Scaling numbers in instructions with curly braces
Source: https://docs.recipesage.com/docs/tutorials/recipes/edit-recipe
Wrap numbers in curly braces to make them scale with the recipe scale setting. Use formats like '1 1/2' for fractions and '1 to 2' for ranges.
```markdown
Add {500} ml milk, and whisk in {2} eggs.

Add {1 1/2} packet of vanilla sugar.

```
--------------------------------
### Scaling with units in instructions
Source: https://docs.recipesage.com/docs/tutorials/recipes/edit-recipe
Include a unit inside the braces to treat the value as a measurement, allowing conversion between metric and imperial when changing units in the scale dialogue.
```markdown
Pour in {236ml} of water.

Add {2 cups} of flour, then stir in {1-2 tablespoons} of oil.

```
--------------------------------
### Image size options
Source: https://docs.recipesage.com/docs/tutorials/recipes/edit-recipe
Choose an image size by adding :small, :medium, :large, or :xlarge after the image number. Medium is the default and can be omitted.
```markdown
![image:1:small]

![image:2:large|Finished dish]

![image:3:xlarge|Hero shot]

```
