import 'package:flutter/material.dart';

import 'example_font_selection.dart';
import 'example_simple.dart';

void main() => runApp(const MyApp());

class MyApp extends StatelessWidget {
  const MyApp({super.key});

  @override
  Widget build(BuildContext context) {
    return MaterialApp(
      title: 'Flutter Demo',
      theme: ThemeData.light(useMaterial3: true),
      home: DefaultTabController(
        animationDuration: Duration.zero,
        length: 2,
        child: Scaffold(
          appBar: AppBar(
            title: const Text('Google Fonts Demo'),
            bottom: const TabBar(
              tabs: <Widget>[
                Tab(text: 'Simple'),
                Tab(text: 'Select a font'),
              ],
            ),
          ),
          body: const TabBarView(children: <Widget>[ExampleSimple(), ExampleFontSelection()]),
        ),
      ),
    );
  }
}
```
--------------------------------
### Import the package
Source: https://pub.dev/packages/google_fonts/install
Include the package in your Dart files to access its functionality.
```dart
import 'package:google_fonts/google_fonts.dart';
```
--------------------------------
### Configure macOS network entitlements
Source: https://pub.dev/packages/google_fonts
Add the required network client key to the macOS entitlements file to enable HTTP font fetching.
```xml
<key>com.apple.security.network.client</key>
<true/>
```
--------------------------------
### Add dependency via command line
Source: https://pub.dev/packages/google_fonts/install
Use the Flutter CLI to automatically add the package to your project.
```bash
$ flutter pub add google_fonts
```
--------------------------------
### Register Font Licenses
Source: https://pub.dev/packages/google_fonts
Add font license files to the LicenseRegistry during app initialization to ensure compliance with font licensing requirements.
```dart
void main() {
  LicenseRegistry.addLicense(() async* {
    final String license = await rootBundle.loadString('google_fonts/OFL.txt');
    yield LicenseEntryWithLineBreaks(<String>['google_fonts'], license);
  });

  runApp(const MyApp());
}
```
--------------------------------
### Map FontWeight to Font Filename Suffixes
Source: https://pub.dev/packages/google_fonts
Use this mapping to correctly name your downloaded font files so the google_fonts package can identify them as assets.
```dart
<FontWeight, String>{
  FontWeight.w100: 'Thin',
  FontWeight.w200: 'ExtraLight',
  FontWeight.w300: 'Light',
  FontWeight.w400: 'Regular',
  FontWeight.w500: 'Medium',
  FontWeight.w600: 'SemiBold',
  FontWeight.w700: 'Bold',
  FontWeight.w800: 'ExtraBold',
  FontWeight.w900: 'Black',
};
```
--------------------------------
### Apply Google Fonts to existing TextStyles
Source: https://pub.dev/packages/google_fonts
Integrate Google Fonts with existing TextStyle objects or theme-based text styles.
```dart
Text(
  'This is Google Fonts',
  style: GoogleFonts.lato(textStyle: const TextStyle(color: Colors.blue, letterSpacing: .5)),
),
```
```dart
Text(
  'This is Google Fonts',
  style: GoogleFonts.lato(textStyle: Theme.of(context).textTheme.headlineMedium),
),
```
```dart
Text(
  'This is Google Fonts',
  style: GoogleFonts.lato(
    textStyle: Theme.of(context).textTheme.displayLarge,
    fontSize: 48,
    fontWeight: FontWeight.w700,
    fontStyle: FontStyle.italic,
  ),
),
```
--------------------------------
### Apply Google Fonts to Text widgets
Source: https://pub.dev/packages/google_fonts
Use GoogleFonts methods to apply fonts to Text widgets, either by default or by dynamically loading font names.
```dart
Text('This is Google Fonts', style: GoogleFonts.lato()),
```
```dart
Text('This is Google Fonts', style: GoogleFonts.getFont('Lato')),
```
--------------------------------
### Add dependency to pubspec.yaml
Source: https://pub.dev/packages/google_fonts/install
Manually add the package version to the dependencies section of your pubspec.yaml file.
```yaml
dependencies:
  google_fonts: ^8.2.1
```
--------------------------------
### Apply Google Fonts to TextThemes
Source: https://pub.dev/packages/google_fonts
Modify entire application text themes or specific styles within a theme using GoogleFonts text theme methods.
```dart
class MyApp extends StatelessWidget {
  // ···
  @override
  Widget build(BuildContext context) {
    return MaterialApp(
      // ···
      theme: _buildTheme(Brightness.dark),
      // ···
    );
  }
}

ThemeData _buildTheme(Brightness brightness) {
  final baseTheme = ThemeData(brightness: brightness);

  return baseTheme.copyWith(textTheme: GoogleFonts.latoTextTheme(baseTheme.textTheme));
}
```
```dart
final TextTheme textTheme = Theme.of(context).textTheme;

return MaterialApp(
  // ···
  theme: ThemeData(
    textTheme: GoogleFonts.latoTextTheme(
      textTheme,
    ).copyWith(bodyMedium: GoogleFonts.oswald(textStyle: textTheme.bodyMedium)),
  ),
  // ···
);
```
