### AssemblyInfo.cs for Installer Class

Source: https://www.progress.com/documentation/sitefinity-cms/133/custom-error-trace-listener-create-the-installer-class

The AssemblyInfo.cs file ensures that the PreApplicationStart method in the Installer class is called by ASP.NET on application start.

```csharp
[assembly: PreApplicationStartMethod(typeof(ExternalLogging.Installer), "PreApplicationStart")]
```

--------------------------------

### Installer Class Implementation

Source: https://www.progress.com/documentation/sitefinity-cms/152/custom-error-trace-listener-create-the-installer-class

Implement the installer class to execute logic on application start. This involves subscribing to the Log.Configuring event and registering a custom configurator.

```csharp
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Abstractions;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Abstractions.Logging;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Configuration;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Services;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Services.Configuration;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Services.Logging;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Abstractions.ObjectFactory;
namespace ExternalLogging
{
    public class Installer
    {
        public static void PreApplicationStart()
        {
            // Subscribe to the Log.Configuring event
            Log.Configuring += Log_Configuring;
        }
        private static void Log_Configuring(object sender, Telerik.Sitefinity.Services.Configuration.ConfiguringEventArgs e)
        {
            // Resolve the default configurator
            var defaultConfigurator = ObjectFactory.Container.Resolve<ISitefinityLogCategoryConfigurator>();
            // Create an instance of the custom configurator (RaygunConfigurator)
            var customConfigurator = new RaygunConfigurator();
            // Register the custom configurator instance
            ObjectFactory.Container.RegisterInstance<ISitefinityLogCategoryConfigurator>(customConfigurator);
        }
    }
}
```

### Installer.cs - Subscribe to Log.Configuring Event

Source: https://www.progress.com/documentation/sitefinity-cms/144/custom-error-trace-listener-create-the-installer-class

Implement the PreApplicationStart method in the Installer class to subscribe to the Log.Configuring event. This event is raised before Sitefinity CMS logging configuration begins.

```csharp
public static class Installer
{
    public static void PreApplicationStart()
    {
        Log.Configuring += Configuring;
    }
    private static void Configuring(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
        // Resolve the default configurator
        var defaultConfigurator = ObjectFactory.Container.Resolve<ISitefinityLogCategoryConfigurator>();
        // Create an instance of the RaygunConfigurator
        var customConfigurator = new RaygunConfigurator(defaultConfigurator);
        // Register the custom configurator instance
        ObjectFactory.Container.RegisterInstance<ISitefinityLogCategoryConfigurator>(customConfigurator);
    }
}
```

--------------------------------

### Example: Upgrade Telerik.Sitefinity.All Package

Source: https://www.progress.com/documentation/sitefinity-cms/133/sitefinity-cms-nuget-packages-repository

This is a concrete example of the upgrade command, specifying the Telerik.Sitefinity.All package and version 7.0.5109.0.

```powershell
Update-Package Telerik.Sitefinity.All -Version 7.0.5109.0 -Source https://api.nuget.org/v3/index.json -IncludePrerelease
```

--------------------------------

### Register Installer with PreApplicationStartMethod

Source: https://www.progress.com/documentation/sitefinity-cms/133/custom-personalization-criteria-create-the-installer-class

This C# attribute registers the Installer class's PreApplicationStart method to be called when the application starts. This ensures that the personalization logic is initialized.

```csharp
[assembly: PreApplicationStartMethod(typeof(Installer), "PreApplicationStart")]
```

using Telerik.Sitefinity.Frontend.Mvc.Infrastructure.Attributes;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Frontend.Mvc.Models;

namespace SitefinityWebApp.Mvc.Controllers
{
    public class HelloWorldController : Controller
    {
        [SitefinityWidget]
        public ActionResult Index()
        {
            var model = new HelloWorldViewModel
            {
                Message = "Hello, Sitefinity World!"
            };
            return View(model);
        }
    }

    public class HelloWorldViewModel : WidgetViewModel
    {
        public string Message { get; set; }
    }
}
```
### Get All Occurrences of an Event
Source: https://www.progress.com/documentation/sitefinity-cms/133/for-developers-extension-methods
This example demonstrates how to get all occurrences of an event using the GetOccurrences() extension method. It creates a new event, publishes it, saves changes, and then retrieves its occurrences.
```csharp
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Linq;
using System.Text;
using System.Threading.Tasks;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Modules.Events;
using Telerik.Sitefinity.Events.Model;

namespace Telerik.Sitefinity.Documentation.CodeSnippets.DevGuide.SitefinityEssentials.Modules.Events.Calendars
{
 public partial class CalendarSnippets
 {
 public static IEnumerable<EventOccurrence> GetOccurences()
 {
 var timeNow = DateTime.UtcNow;
 var manager = EventsManager.GetManager();

 var e1Id = Guid.NewGuid();
 var e1Title = "TestEvent1";
 var e1Descr = "TestEvent1 description";
 var e1Content = "TestEvent1 content";
 var e1StartDate = timeNow;
 var e1EndDate = timeNow.AddDays(5);
 var e1Location = "Test location";
 var e1 = manager.CreateEvent(e1Id);
 e1.Title = e1Title;
 e1.Description = e1Descr;
 e1.Content = e1Content;
 e1.EventStart = e1StartDate;
 e1.EventEnd = e1EndDate;
 e1.IsRecurrent = false;
 e1.Location = e1Location;

 manager.Lifecycle.Publish(e1);
 manager.SaveChanges();

 e1 = manager.GetEvent(e1Id);

 var occurrences = e1.GetOccurrences();
 return occurrences;
 }
 }
}

### Installer Class Implementation

Source: https://www.progress.com/documentation/sitefinity-cms/133/custom-error-trace-listener-create-the-installer-class

Implement the installer class by adding the PreApplicationStart method and subscribing to the Log.Configuring event. This code resolves the default configurator, creates an instance of RaygunConfigurator, and registers it.

```csharp
public class Installer
{
    public static void PreApplicationStart()
    {
        Log.Configuring += Log_Configuring;
    }
    private static void Log_Configuring(object sender, Telerik.Sitefinity.Logging.Configuration.ConfiguringEventArgs e)
    {
        var customConfigurator = ObjectFactory.Container.Resolve<ISitefinityLogCategoryConfigurator>();
        var raygunConfigurator = new RaygunConfigurator(); // Assuming RaygunConfigurator is your custom configurator
        ObjectFactory.Container.RegisterInstance<ISitefinityLogCategoryConfigurator>(raygunConfigurator);
    }
}
```

### Example Unit Test for DelegateClass

Source: https://www.progress.com/documentation/sitefinity-cms/152/for-developers-use-method-delegates

This example demonstrates how to create a unit test for a class that uses method delegates. It shows the setup for testing the `Process` method by providing a mock `Action<string>` delegate.

```csharp
using Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UnitTesting;
using System;
[TestClass]
public class DelegateClassTests
{
    [TestMethod]
    public void Process_LogsMessage_WhenDelegateIsProvided()
    {
        // Arrange
        string loggedMessage = null;
        Action<string> mockLogAction = (message) => {
            loggedMessage = message;
        };
        var delegateClass = new DelegateClass(mockLogAction);
        var testMessage = "Hello, delegates!";
        // Act
        delegateClass.Process(testMessage);
        // Assert
        Assert.AreEqual(testMessage, loggedMessage, "The message was not logged correctly.");
    }
}
```
