### Install Jupyter for Python Quarto Documents

Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/publish

Provides the command to install the 'jupyter' package using pip, which is a requirement for publishing Python-based Quarto documents that are rendered on the server from the RStudio IDE. This ensures that the necessary Python environment is set up for rendering.

```bash
python3 -m pip install jupyter
```

### Configure Posit Cloud Account with rsconnect (R)

Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/publish

This code snippet configures your R environment to publish to Posit Cloud by setting your account information, including name, token, secret, and server. Ensure you have the 'rsconnect' package installed. This is typically used before deploying an application.

```r
rsconnect::setAccountInfo(name = "your-account-name",
token = "9721037F994151DFD87E7578B7332AC9",
secret = "shhh...secret",
server = "posit.cloud")
```

--------------------------------

### Deploy Document with RStudio IDE (Server-Side Rendering)

Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/publish

Demonstrates how to publish a document using the RStudio IDE, specifically configuring it to publish only the finished document rather than including its source code. This is achieved by using the `deployDoc()` function from the `rsconnect` package.

```r
rsconnect::deployDoc("document.html")
```

### RStudio IDE: Enabling GitHub Copilot

Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/whats_new

Enables GitHub Copilot within RStudio projects. Requires GitHub Copilot access and authentication. This feature is currently in preview.

```r
## How To
# 1. Open your RStudio project, then click on “Project Options” in the Tools menu.
# 2. In the dialog that opens, click on “Copilot”, then select “Yes” for both “Enable GitHub Copilot” and “Index project files with GitHub Copilot”.
# 3. Click “Sign In” to authenticate, and follow the prompts.
# GitHub Copilot must be enabled for projects individually. You must have access to GitHub Copilot via your GitHub account, and you must authenticate with that account before you can use GitHub Copilot in your projects. GitHub Copilot is free for verified students and teachers.
# Please note that this feature is in preview. If you’d like to provide feedback or report an issue, please file an issue on the RStudio GitHub repository.
```

### Deploy Dash App with rsconnect-python CLI (Python)

Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/publish

This command deploys a Dash application to Posit Cloud using the 'rsconnect-python' CLI. It specifies the local directory of the Dash app and provides a name and title for the deployed application. This command assumes the account has already been added.

```bash
rsconnect deploy dash dashboard-python --name posit.cloud --title dashboard-python
```

--------------------------------

### Add Posit Cloud Account with rsconnect-python CLI (Python)

Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/publish

This command-line interface (CLI) command adds your Posit Cloud account details to your environment using the 'rsconnect-python' package. It registers your account name, a display name for the server, the server URL, and your API token and secret.

```bash
rsconnect add --account your-account-name --name posit.cloud --server posit.cloud --token 9721037F994151DFD87E7578B7332AC9 --secret shhh...secret
```

--------------------------------

### Deploy Shiny App with rsconnect (R)

Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/publish

This command deploys a Shiny application to Posit Cloud using the 'rsconnect' package in R. It requires the application directory and the server address. Ensure your account information is set using setAccountInfo prior to running this command.

```r
rsconnect::deployApp(appDir="shiny", server="posit.cloud")
```

--------------------------------

### Configure Git User Information

Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/advanced

```git
git remote add origin https://gitlab.com/myrepo.git
```

--------------------------------

# Selecting a Python interpreter in the dialog will bring up a list of available versions.
```
--------------------------------
### Pull Repository Contents
Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/advanced
Fetches the contents of the remote repository into the local repository. Users will be prompted for credentials. Replace 'main' with the actual branch name if different.
```git
git pull origin main
```
--------------------------------
### Checkout Remote Branch
Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/advanced
Alternatively, checks out the fetched remote branch directly, automatically setting up the upstream tracking. Replace 'main' with the actual branch name if different.
```git
git checkout main
```
--------------------------------
### Configure Git User Email
Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/advanced
Sets the global user email for Git configuration. This is necessary for tracking contributions and is often required when working with version control systems like GitHub. It ensures that your commits are properly attributed to you.
```git
git config --global user.email "you@example.com"
```
--------------------------------
### Configure Git User Name
Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/advanced
```git
git config --global user.name "Your Name"
```
--------------------------------
### Configure Git Credential Cache Timeout
Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/advanced
```

--------------------------------

### Remove Members Programmatically via Cloud API (rscloud)

Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/collaborate

Demonstrates how to remove members from a Posit Cloud space programmatically using the rscloud Python package. This method is an alternative to the manual UI process.

```python
import rscloud
# Assuming you have your API key and space ID set up
# rscloud.login(api_key='YOUR_API_KEY')
# space_id = 'YOUR_SPACE_ID'
# member_id = 'MEMBER_TO_REMOVE_ID'
# To remove a member:
# rscloud.remove_member(space=space_id, member=member_id)
print("Code snippet for removing members programmatically using rscloud.")
print("# Uncomment and replace placeholders to execute.")
```

--------------------------------

### Set Upstream Branch

Source: https://docs.posit.co/cloud/guide/advanced

Links the local 'master' branch to the fetched remote branch ('main'). This ensures proper tracking of upstream changes. Replace 'main' with the actual branch name if different.
