### Start Odoo server with addons path

Source: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/14.0/developer/tutorials/website.html

Start the Odoo server with the addons path including the custom module directory. This is required to install the 'academy' module.

```bash
$ ./odoo-bin --addons-path addons,my-modules
```

### Client Action Example: pos.ui

Source: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/14.0/developer/reference/addons/actions.html

Example of an ir.actions.client action dictionary that tells the client to start the Point of Sale interface. The server has no idea how the POS interface works.

```json
{
    "type": "ir.actions.client",
    "tag": "pos.ui"
}
```

### Define modules with dependencies via require

Source: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/14.0/uk/developer/reference/javascript/javascript_reference.html

Shows the basic pattern for defining Odoo modules. The first example defines two modules: `module.A` and `module.B`, where `module.B` requires `module.A`. The second example shows an alternative syntax with an explicit dependency list. Modules are executed as soon as their dependencies are loaded.

```javascript
// in file a.js
odoo.define('module.A', function (require) {
    "use strict";
    var A = ...;
    return A;
});
// in file b.js
odoo.define('module.B', function (require) {
    "use strict";
    var A = require('module.A');
    var B = ...; // something that involves A
    return B;
});
```

```javascript
odoo.define('module.Something', ['module.A', 'module.B'], function (require) {
    "use strict";
    var A = require('module.A');
    var B = require('module.B');
    // some code
});
```

### Define a basic widget extending Widget()

Source: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/14.0/uk/developer/tutorials/web.html

Extends Widget() and overrides start() to log a message when the widget is loaded. The widget is registered as a client action using the fully qualified name.

```javascript
local.HomePage = instance.Widget.extend({
    start: function() {
        console.log("pet store home page loaded");
    },
});
```

```javascript
instance.web.client_actions.add(
    'petstore.homepage', 'instance.oepetstore.HomePage');
```

### List table RST example

Source: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/14.0/zh_CN/contributing/documentation/rst_cheat_sheet.html

Example of a list-table directive with header-rows and stub-columns options. The rendered table shows Name, Country, and Favorite colour columns.

```rst
.. list-table::
   :header-rows: 1
   :stub-columns: 1
   * - Name
     - Country
     - Favorite colour
   * - Raúl
     - Montenegro
     - Purple
   * - Mélanie
     - France
     - Turquoise
```

--------------------------------

### Result of calling sub-template with content

Source: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/14.0/zh_CN/developer/reference/javascript/qweb.html

Shows the rendered output of the previous example: the sub-template includes the passed content inside the div.

```XML
<div>
    This template was called with content:
    <em>content</em>
</div>
```

### Driver implementation example

Source: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/14.0/developer/howtos/connect_device.html

Shows how to create a new driver by extending the Driver class, setting connection_type, device_type, device_connection, device_name, and implementing the supported method.

```python
from odoo.addons.hw_drivers.driver import Driver
class DriverName(Driver):
    connection_type = 'ConnectionType'
    def __init__(self, identifier, device):
        super(NewDriver, self).__init__(identifier, device)
        self.device_type = 'DeviceType'
        self.device_connection = 'DeviceConnection'
        self.device_name = 'DeviceName'
    @classmethod
    def supported(cls, device):
        ...
```

### daterange widget example

Source: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/14.0/developer/reference/javascript/javascript_reference.html

Example of using the daterange widget on a start date field with related_end_date option.

```XML
<field name="start_date" widget="daterange" options='{"related_end_date": "end_date"}'/>
```
