```Minecraft Commands
/automodpack host start
```

--------------------------------

### AutoModpack Client Configuration

Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/configuration/client-config

Details the structure and parameters of the AutoModpack client configuration file (`automodpack-client.json`). This file manages settings for the client-side AutoModpack installation, including selected modpacks and self-update preferences.

```json
{
  "DO_NOT_CHANGE_IT": "<file version>",
  "selectedModpack": "",
  "installedModpacks": [],
  "selfUpdater": false
}
```

--------------------------------

### Configure Automodpack Updates

Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/configuration/server-config

Controls whether the automodpack feature will update installed modpacks. This setting does not impact the mod's ability to install modpacks.

```Configuration
`selfUpdater` | `false`
```

### Add Content to Modpack using host-modpack directory

Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/technicals/modpack-creation

This method allows you to add custom files to your modpack by placing them in a specific directory. You can create subdirectories like `mods` or `resourcepacks` within `~/automodpack/host-modpack/main/` to organize your content. For example, to add a mod, place it in `~/automodpack/host-modpack/main/mods/your-mod.jar`.

```text
To add more files to modpack use separate directory `~/automodpack/host-modpack/main/`. For example to add more mods create folder `mods` and place there mods so that will be `~/automodpack/host-modpack/main/mods/`**`your-mod.jar`**. Or to add resourcepacks analogically create folder`resourcepacks` and place there resourcepacks so that will be `~/automodpack/host-modpack/main/resourcepacks/`**`your-resourcepack.zip`**.
```

--------------------------------

### Troubleshooting AutoModpack

Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/quick-start

Common troubleshooting steps for AutoModpack issues. This includes checking versions, server accessibility, and server logs.

```text
Make sure you are using the same version of AutoModpack on both server and client.
Ensure that your server is running and accessible without AutoModpack.
Check the server logs there might be some nudge about what went wrong.
Read the faq page for common questions and answers.
```

--------------------------------

### Configure AutoModpack Server Settings

Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/configuration/server-config

This JSON configuration file defines various parameters for the AutoModpack server, including modpack details, file synchronization rules, client interaction settings, and network binding options.

```JSON
{
  "DO_NOT_CHANGE_IT": "<file version>",
  "modpackName": "",
  "modpackHost": true,
  "generateModpackOnStart": true,
  "syncedFiles": [
    "/mods/*.jar",
### Add Content to Modpack using syncedFiles
Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/technicals/modpack-creation
This method allows you to include existing files from your server into the modpack. By default, it includes all .jar files from the server's `~/mods/` directory. Configuration details can be found in the config file.
```text
To re-use already existing files on server use `syncedFiles` read more in config. As an example with default config it creates modpack containing _every_ mod (file ending with .jar) from server `~/mods/` folder.
```
--------------------------------
### Allow Cross-Modloader Connections
Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/configuration/server-config
Enables players using different mod loaders to connect to the server. Use this feature with caution, as most mods are specific to a single mod loader.
```Configuration
`acceptedLoaders` | `["<mod loader used by server>"]`
```
--------------------------------
### Client-side Modpack Translation
Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/technicals/modpack-creation
Files added to the modpack using either `syncedFiles` or the `host-modpack` directory are translated to the client's `~/.minecraft/` directory. This ensures that mods and resources are correctly placed in the Minecraft instance on the client side.
```text
Both of these methods translate to the `~/.minecraft/` on client side (root directory of minecraft instance).
```
--------------------------------
### Obtain Certificate with Certbot
Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/technicals/certificate
This command demonstrates how to obtain a certificate using Certbot for manual DNS challenge. It's used to secure your AutoModpack server by providing your own CA signed certificate, which can prevent players from needing to manually verify the certificate fingerprint.
```bash
# certbot certonly --manual --preferred-challenges dns -d <modpack-host-domain> -d <minecraft-server-domain>
```
--------------------------------
### Reload AutoModpack Configuration
Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/configuration/troubleshooting
This command reloads the AutoModpack configuration files after modifications. Ensure the server or game is restarted if the command does not take effect.
```Shell
automodpack config reload
```
--------------------------------
### Generate Modpack Command
Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/faq
This command is used to generate the modpack for use with AutoModpack. It's essential for setting up the modpack on a server, especially for LAN or single-player scenarios where players can join.
```Minecraft Commands
/automodpack generate
```
--------------------------------
### Configure AutoModpack Bind Port
Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/technicals/modpack-hosting
This snippet shows how to configure the `bindPort` setting in AutoModpack's configuration file. This setting determines the port AutoModpack uses to host the modpack, defaulting to the Minecraft server port.
```properties
bindPort = 25565
```
--------------------------------
### Generate Modpack Command
Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/technicals/modpack-creation
This command is used to regenerate the modpack after adding or modifying content. It ensures that the modpack reflects the latest changes made to the server files or the host-modpack directory.
```text
Remember to regenerate the modpack using `/automodpack generate` (see commands)
```
--------------------------------
### Disable AutoModpack Authorization
Source: https://moddedmc.wiki/en/project/automodpack/latest/docs/technicals/connection
This configuration option allows disabling the secret validation mechanism used by AutoModpack to prevent unauthorized access. It's a server-side setting that enhances security by ensuring only whitelisted and non-banned players can download modpack files.
```properties
validateSecrets=false
```
