### ImapSync dry run command

Source: https://www.migadu.com/guides/imapsync

Performs a dry run migration without moving data. Replace the example hostnames and usernames with your actual source and destination IMAP servers and accounts. ImapSync prompts for passwords unless --passwordX is provided.

```bash
$ imapsync --dry \
  --host1 imap.source-server.com \
  --user1 account@source-domain.com \
  --ssl1 --sep1 . \
  --prefix1 ""  \
  --host2 imap.destination-server.com \
  --user2 account@destination-domain.com \
  --ssl2
```

--------------------------------

### ImapSync live run command

Source: https://www.migadu.com/guides/imapsync

Runs the actual migration by removing the --dry parameter. Expect the process to take hours or days for large amounts of data.

```bash
$ imapsync \
  --host1 imap.source-server.com \
  --user1 account@source-domain.com \
  --ssl1 --sep1 . \
  --prefix1 ""  \
  --host2 imap.destination-server.com \
  --user2 account@destination-domain.com \
  --ssl2
```

### Mutt/NeoMutt basic configuration for Migadu

Source: https://www.migadu.com/guides/mutt

Save this configuration to ~/.muttrc or ~/.neomuttrc. Replace _imap_user_, _imap_pass_, _realname_, and _from_ with your Migadu mailbox details. The configuration sets up IMAP and SMTP with TLS, caching, and mailbox settings.

```text
set folder = imaps://imap.migadu.com/
set imap_user=<MAILBOX_FULL_ADDRESS>
set imap_pass=<MAILBOX_PASSWORD>
set spoolfile=+INBOX
set imap_check_subscribed
mailboxes = +INBOX
set header_cache = ~/.cache/mutt
set message_cachedir = "~/.cache/mutt"
set postponed = +Drafts
unset imap_passive
set imap_keepalive = 300
set mail_check = 120
set record = +Sent
set realname = '<FROM_NAME>'
set from = <MAILBOX_FULL_ADDRESS>
set use_from = yes
set smtp_pass = $imap_pass
set smtp_url = smtps://$imap_user@smtp.migadu.com
set ssl_force_tls = yes
```

### Basic Sieve vacation autoreply with precedence filter

Source: https://www.migadu.com/guides/autoreply

Basic Sieve vacation script for Migadu. Requires the vacation extension and uses an if condition to avoid replying to mailing lists and auto-senders. Only one script can be active, so add this to an existing sieve script if you already have filters.

```sieve
require "vacation" ;
if not header :contains "precedence" ["list", "junk"] {
vacation :days 7 :subject "Out of Office"
 "I am currently away and will get back to you shortly.";
}
