### Custom provider configuration example

Source: https://manual.raycast.com/ai/custom-providers

Example configuration for a custom provider in Raycast AI. It defines a provider entry with an OpenAI-compatible base URL, an API key alias, and a single model with its capabilities. The `api_keys` field is optional for providers that don't require authentication.

```yaml
providers:
  - id: my_provider
    name: My Provider
    base_url: https://api.example.com/v1
    api_keys:
      my_provider: YOUR_API_KEY
    models:
      - id: my-model-id
        name: My Model
        provider: my_provider
        description: A short description shown in Raycast
        context: 200000
        abilities:
          temperature:
            supported: true
          vision:
            supported: true
          system_message:
            supported: true
          tools:
            supported: true
          reasoning_effort:
            supported: false
```

### Trigger Ask User Question with example prompts

Source: https://manual.raycast.com/ai/quick-ai

Paste either prompt into Quick AI to trigger the Ask User Question feature. The first prompt asks the AI to set up a project folder and ask for options; the second explicitly names the ask questions tool. Because details are omitted, the AI typically asks a clarifying multiple-choice question before proceeding.

```text
Set up a new project folder for me and ask me to choose from the available options
```

```text
Use the ask questions tool and quiz me about who are the cofounders of Raycast
```
