### YAML for Tag Contexts in Make.md

Source: https://context7.com/context7/make_md/llms.txt

Demonstrates the use of YAML to define and apply tag contexts in Make.md for managing shared properties across multiple spaces. Includes an example of a book tracking system with various property types.

```yaml
# Use case: Media library organized by tags
# Create tag context for #book
# In any folder with #book tag:
# 1. Right-click folder
# 2. Apply to Items -> Apply Tags
# 3. Select "book" tag context
# 4. All book properties now available in this folder
# Example: Book tracking system
# Tag Context: #book
---
properties:
  - title (Text)
  - author (Text)
  - rating (Number, 1-5)
  - dateRead (Date)
  - genre (Options): fiction, nonfiction, scifi, fantasy
  - notes (Text, Multi-line)
---
# Apply #book tag to folders:
# - Library/Fiction
# - Library/Non-Fiction
# - Reading Lists/2025
# All notes in these folders inherit book properties
# Changes to tag context propagate to all spaces
```

### make.md Formula Functions for Dynamic Calculations

Source: https://context7.com/context7/make_md/llms.txt

Explains and provides examples of formula functions available in make.md for computing dynamic values based on note properties. Covers accessing properties, conditional logic, string manipulation, date operations, and list operations, including a complex example for project health scoring.

```javascript
// Get property value
prop("propertyName")
// Conditional logic
if(prop("Status") == "Done", "✓ Complete", "⏳ Pending")
// String manipulation
upper(prop("Title"))  // Convert to uppercase
lower(prop("Category"))  // Convert to lowercase
contains(prop("Tags"), "urgent")  // Check if contains substring
// Date operations
now()  // Current timestamp
dateAdd(prop("StartDate"), 7, "days")  // Add 7 days
dateBetween(prop("DueDate"), now(), "days")  // Days until due
// List operations
length(prop("Tasks"))  // Count items in multi-value property
filter(prop("Items"), current() > 5)  // Filter list by condition
map(prop("Numbers"), current() * 2)  // Transform each value
// Example: Calculate project health score
let("daysLeft", dateBetween(prop("DueDate"), now(), "days"),
  let("completed", length(filter(prop("Tasks"), prop("Status") == "Done")),
    let("total", length(prop("Tasks")),
      if(daysLeft < 0, 0,
        if(total == 0, 100,
          (completed / total) * 100
        )
      )
    )
  )
)
```

// - Status (Options): Planning, In Progress, Done
// - Due Date (Date): YYYY-MM-DD
// - Priority (Number): 1-5
// - Tags (Options, Multi): work, personal, urgent
// - Progress (Formula): if(prop("Status") == "Done", 100, 0)
```
/*    - Custom: Full control */
/* Example: Two-column dashboard */
/* Structure: */
/* Group (Row) */
/*   ├── Column 1 (Stack, 60% width) */
/*   │   ├── Note: Project Overview */
/*   │   └── List: Active Tasks */
/*   └── Column 2 (Stack, 40% width) */
/*       ├── Progress: Completion */
/*       └── Button: New Task */
```

### make.md Aggregate Functions for Summary Calculations

Source: https://context7.com/context7/make_md/llms.txt

Details the use of aggregate functions in make.md to calculate summary values from related contexts (e.g., parent-child relationships between Projects and Tasks). It lists available functions like Count, Sum, Average, Min/Max, and provides an example of an aggregate property setup in a project note.

```javascript
// Setup: Create two contexts with a relation
// Context 1: Projects (parent)
// Context 2: Tasks (child)
// Add Relation property in Projects: "tasks" -> Tasks context
// In Projects context, add Aggregate property:
// Source: tasks (the relation property)
// Property: status (from Tasks context)
// Function: Count
// Available aggregate functions:
// - Count: Number of related items
// - Sum: Total of numeric values
// - Average: Mean of numeric values
// - Min/Max: Smallest/largest value
// - Count Values: Total items in multi-value properties
// - Count Uniques: Unique items count
// - Earliest/Latest: Date extremes
// - Date Range: Days between earliest and latest
// Example: Project with task statistics
// Project note frontmatter:
---
name: Website Redesign
status: In Progress
tasks: [[Task 1]], [[Task 2]], [[Task 3]]
totalTasks: 3  # Aggregate: Count
completedTasks: 1  # Aggregate: Count where status="Done"
avgEffort: 5.5  # Aggregate: Average of effort property
---
```

### YAML for Advanced Property Types in Make.md

Source: https://context7.com/context7/make_md/llms.txt

Explains and provides examples of advanced property types in Make.md using YAML, including Object (nested properties), Multi-Object (lists of structured data), and Relation properties for linking contexts.

```yaml
# Object Type: Nested properties
# Use case: Contact information
---
contact:
  name: "John Doe"
  email: "john@example.com"
  phone: "555-0123"
  address:
    street: "123 Main St"
    city: "Springfield"
    zip: "12345"
---
# Multi-Object: List of structured data
---
expenses:
  - date: 2025-10-01
    amount: 45.50
    category: "Food"
  - date: 2025-10-05
    amount: 120.00
    category: "Transportation"
---
# Relation Property: Link contexts
# Context 1: Authors
# Context 2: Books with relation "author" -> Authors
# Two-way relation: Updates both contexts automatically
# Example:
---
# In Books context
title: "The Great Novel"
author: [[J. Smith]]  # Links to Authors context
# In Authors context (auto-updated)
name: "J. Smith"
books: [[The Great Novel]]  # Automatically added
---
# Special Properties: Repeat events
```
