### BIBFRAME Profile for Agents (JSON)

Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-profiles

A BIBFRAME Profile example that matches descriptions with BIBFRAME Person resources. It defines properties like 'hasAuthority' and 'authorizedAccessPoint' for agent resources.

```json
{
  "Profile": {
      "id": "profile:bf:Agents",
      "title": "BIBFRAME Agents",
      "resourceTemplates": [
          {
### BIBFRAME Profile Structure Example
Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-profiles
This JSON snippet illustrates a partial structure of a BIBFRAME Profile, defining resource templates and their associated properties. It shows how properties like 'label' and 'type' are defined within a profile, specifying URIs and labels.
```json
{
                    "propertyURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/label",
                    "propertyLabel": "Label",
                    "type": "literal"
                 }
              ]
          },
          {
             "id": "bfp:AAT:WorkType",
             "resourceLabel": "Type of Work",
             "resourceURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/rda/WorkType",
             "propertyTemplates": [
                 {
                    "propertyURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/label",
                    "propertyLabel": "Label",
                    "type": "literal"
                 }
              ]
          },
          {
             "id": "bfp:TGN:Place",
             "resourceLabel": "Place",
             "resourceURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/rda/Place",
             "propertyTemplates": [
                 {
                    "propertyURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/label",
                    "propertyLabel": "Label",
                    "type": "literal"
                 }
              ]
           },
          {
             "id": "bp:language",
             "resourceURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/LanguageEntity",
             "resourceLabel": "Language",
             "propertyTemplates": [
                 {
                    "mandatory": "true",
                    "propertyURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/label",
                                                "propertyLabel": "Label",
                    "type": "literal"
                 }

### Defining a BIBFRAME Subject as a Topic Authority

Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-authorities

This example shows how to define a subject for a Work using a Topic Authority. The bf:subject property links to a bf:Topic node, which contains a bf:label for the subject.

```rdf
<bf:Work rdf:about=”http://bibframe/work/w72x43”>
    <bf:title>History of the Peloponnesian War</bf:title>
    <bf:subject rdf:nodeID=”bnode-t24x38”/>
</bf:Work>
<!-- BIBFRAME Authority-->
**<bf:Topic rdf:nodeID=”bnode-t24x38”>**
    **<bf:label>Greece--History--Peloponnesian  War, 431-404 B.C.</bf:label>**
**</bf:Topic>**
```

### BIBFRAME Work with Creator as Reusable Resource Authority (RDF)

Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-authorities

This example is similar to the previous one, but the BIBFRAME Authority is represented as a reusable resource (identified by a URI) instead of a blank node. It still includes an authorized access point and a link to an external authority.

```rdf
<bf:Work>
    <bf:title>Collage</bf:title>
    <bf:creator rdf:resource=”http://www.example.bibframe.org/authority/bartolozzi/”/>
</bf:Work>
<!-- BIBFRAME Authority -->
<bf:Person rdf:about=”http://www.example.bibframe.org/authority/bartolozzi/”>
    <bf:authorizedAccessPoint>Bartolozzi, Bruno</bf:authorizedAccessPoint>
    <bf:hasAuthority rdf:resource=”http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n80103954”/>
</bf:Person>
```

### Defining a BIBFRAME Subject as a Place Authority

Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-authorities

This example shows how a Work can have a Place Authority as its subject. The bf:subject property links to a bf:Place node, which includes an bf:authorizedAccessPoint and a bf:hasAuthority link.

```rdf
<bf:Work>
    <bf:title>Gunmen of Winslow</bf:title>
    <bf:subject rdf:resource="bnode-p622k123"/>
</bf:Work>
<!-- BIBFRAME Authority-->
**<bf:Place rdf:nodeID="bnode-p622k123">**
    **<bf:authorizedAccessPoint>Winslow (Ark.)</bf:  authorizedAccessPoint>**
    **<bf:hasAuthority rdf:resource="http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n88198885"/>**
**</bf:Place>**
### BIBFRAME Authority with Label
Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-authorities
Example of a BIBFRAME Authority for a Person, using bf:label to provide an authorized access point when confidence in the primary authority is low. This structure is a valid representation of a BIBFRAME Authority.
```xml
<!DOCTYPE html>
<!-- BIBFRAME Authority  -->
<bf:Person>
    **<bf:label>Paul Russell Cutright</bf:label>**
</bf:Person>
```
--------------------------------
### BIBFRAME Role as Vocabulary Code
Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-authorities
Demonstrates how a role, such as 'illustrator', can be expressed using a property from a controlled vocabulary (relators). This example shows a bf:Work with a relators:ill property, linking to a BIBFRAME Authority representing the person.
```xml
<bf:Work xmlns:relators="http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators">
    <bf:title>Mogie: the heart of the house</bf:title>
    **<relators:ill rdf:nodeID=”bnode-x31p54”/>**
</bf:Work>
<!-- BIBFRAME Authority-->
<bf:Person rdf:nodeID=”bnode-x31p54”>
   <bf:authorizedAccessPoint>Rosenthall, Marc, 1949-</bf:authorizedAccessPoint>
   <bf:hasAuthority rdf:resource="http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n92008281"/>
</bf:Person>
```
--------------------------------
### BIBFRAME Authority with Inline Authority Information using MADS (RDF)
Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-authorities
This example shows a BIBFRAME Authority where authority information is supplied inline using the MADS (Metadata Authority Description Schema) ontology. It includes an authorized access point and detailed personal name information within the authority element.
```rdf
<!-- BIBFRAME Authority -->
<bf:Person>
    <bf:authorizedAccessPoint>Cutright, Paul Russell, 1897-</bf:authorizedAccessPoint>
    <bf:hasAuthority>
<!-- -->
<madsrdf:PersonalName>
    <madsrdf:authoritativeLabel>Cutright, Paul Russell, 1897-</madsrdf:authoritativeLabel>
    <madsrdf:elementList rdf:parseType="Collection">
       <madsrdf:FullNameElement>
 	        <madsrdf:elementValue>Cutright, Paul Russell,</madsrdf:elementValue>
       </madsrdf:FullNameElement>
       <madsrdf:DateNameElement>
 	        <madsrdf:elementValue>1897-</madsrdf:elementValue>
       </madsrdf:DateNameElement>
    </madsrdf:elementList>
</madsrdf:PersonalName>
<!-- -->
    </bf:hasAuthority>
</bf:Person>
```
--------------------------------
### Invalid BIBFRAME Authority: Direct Approach
Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-authorities
Illustrates the 'Direct Approach' for BIBFRAME Authorities, which is explicitly excluded as a valid form. This example shows a bf:Work with a bf:creator property directly linking to an authority resource, which is not the recommended structure.
```xml
<bf:Work>
    <bf:title>Florida Mobile Home Act</bf:title>
    **<bf:creator rdf:resource="http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n79053995"/>**
</bf:Work>
```
--------------------------------
### Value Constraint: Referencing Resource Templates
Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-profiles
Specifies a value constraint for a BIBFRAME property, indicating that the value must conform to one of the listed resource templates. This example shows constraints for a subject property, allowing values to be Person, Organization, or Place resources.
```json
{
     "propertyTemplates": [
         { ... },
         {
              "propertyURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/subject",
              "propertyLabel": "Subject",
              "type": "resource",
              "valueConstraint": {
                   "valueTemplateRefs": [ "bfp:Agent:Person",
                                          "bfp:Agent:Organization",
                                          "bfp:Authority:Place"
                   ]
              }
         },
         { ... }
     ]
}
```
### Bibframe Technique Resource Definition (JSON)
Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-profiles
This JSON snippet defines the 'Technique' resource type, identified by 'bfp:AAT:Technique'. It specifies the resource URI and includes a property template for 'Label', which is a literal value.
```json
{
             "id": "bfp:AAT:Technique",
             "resourceLabel": "Technique",
             "resourceURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/rda/Technique",
             "propertyTemplates": [
                 {
                    "propertyURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/label",
                    "propertyLabel": "Label",
                    "type": "literal"
                 }
              ]
           }
```
--------------------------------
### BIBFRAME Resource Template JSON Structure
Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-profiles
Demonstrates the JSON structure for a BIBFRAME Resource Template, which describes resources like Works or Instances. It includes fields for id, resourceLabel, resourceURI, and propertyTemplates, defining the metadata properties for a resource.
```json
{
"resourceTemplate": [
    {
       "id": "bfp:Work:Book",
       "resourceLabel": "Book",
       "resourceURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/Text",
       "propertyTemplates": [
             { ... }
       ]
    }
]
```
```json
{
"resourceTemplate": [
    {
       "id": "bfp:MediaCategory",
       "resourceLabel": "Media Category",
       "resourceURI": "http://bibframe.org/vocab/mediaCategory",
       "remark": "Values derived from http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/mediaTypes or
                                      http://rdvocab.info/termList/RDAMediaType"
    }
]
```
--------------------------------
### Property Template: Resource Property with Value Constraint
Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-profiles
Illustrates a BIBFRAME property template where the value is expected to be a resource, and includes a valueConstraint to specify further expectations. This is useful for properties like subjects that link to other resources.
```json
{
      "propertyTemplate": [
         { ... },

### Default BIBFRAME Profile for Simple Editing Interface (JSON)

Source: https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe-profiles

This JSON object defines a default BIBFRAME profile for a simple editing interface. It includes metadata like ID, title, description, and contact information, along with resource templates that specify the structure for cataloging resources, such as Books. Human-readable labels are derived from the associated RDF schema.

```json
                      editable | defaultURI | remark
valueDataType ::= dataTypeURI | dataTypeLabel | dataTypeLabelHint | remark
valueTemplateRefs ::= editable | defaultURI | defaultLabel
mandatory ::= "true" | "false"
