### Example: Inferred X Delta Calculation

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/gvar

This example calculates the inferred X delta for point P2 using linear interpolation. P1 is the reference point and P3 is the comparison point.

```pseudocode
deltaX_P2 = +28 + ( (100 - 50) / (150 - 50) ) * (-42 - 28)
deltaX_P2 = +28 + ( 50 / 100 ) * (-70)
deltaX_P2 = +28 + 0.5 * (-70)
deltaX_P2 = +28 - 35
deltaX_P2 = -7
```

### VORG Table Structure Example

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/vorg

Example of a complete VORG table for a 1000-unit-em font, specifying default vertical origin and individual glyph metrics.

```plaintext
majorVersion         =1
minorVersion         =0
defaultVertOriginY   =880
numVertOriginYMetrics=3
--- vertOriginYMetrics[index]=(glyphIndex,vertOriginY)
[0]=(10,889)
[1]=(12,861)
[2]=(13,849)
### Packed Delta Data Example
Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/otvarcommonformats
This is an example of a block of packed delta data. It demonstrates the raw byte sequence as it would appear in a font file.
```plaintext

### Default JstfLangSys Table Example

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/jstf

Illustrates a default JstfLangSys table, defining justification suggestions for a script when no language-specific data is available. This example shows how to specify priority order for justification adjustments.

```plaintext
ArabicDefJstfLangSys | JstfLangSys table definition
2 | jstfPriorityCount
ArabicScriptJstfPriority1 | jstfPriorityOffsets[0]
ArabicScriptJstfPriority2 | jstfPriorityOffsets[1]
```

### Instance Font GETVARIATION IDEF Setup

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/tt_instructions

This IDEF setup for an instance font replaces the default behavior to match specific instance values. It returns -1.0 for the first axis and 0.0 for the second, mimicking a specific instance's normalized coordinates. Adjust 'maxp' table accordingly.

```opentype
PUSHB[000] 145 /* OpCode 0x91, GetVariation */
IDEF[]
NPUSHW[]   2 /* Number of axes in this font */, -16384, 0
ENDF[]
```

--------------------------------

### Default GETVARIATION IDEF Setup

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/tt_instructions

This setup provides the default values for GETVARIATION, returning zeroes to indicate the default settings for each axis. Ensure the 'maxp' table reflects the IDEF usage.

```opentype
PUSHB[000] 145 /* OpCode 0x91, GetVariation */
IDEF[]
NPUSHW[] 2 /* Number of axes in this font */, 0, 0
ENDF[]
```

### JSTFHeader and JstfScriptRecord Example

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/jstf

Demonstrates the definition of a script in the JSTF Header with a JstfScriptRecord, which identifies the script and references its JstfScript table. This is useful for setting up script-specific justification rules.

```plaintext
TheJSTFHeader | JSTFHeader table definition
0x00010000 | major/minor version
1 | jstfScriptCount
jstfScriptRecords[0]
'thai' | jstfScriptTag
ThaiScript | offset to JstfScript table
```

### Ideographic Em-box Metrics Example (Kozuka Mincho)

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/baselinetags

Example values for the ideographic baseline tags for the Kozuka Mincho font family, which is designed on a 1000-unit em.

```text
**HorizAxis.ideo** = -120; **HorizAxis.idtp** = 880.
```

```text
**HorizAxis.ideo** = -120.
```

```text
OS/2.sTypoDescender = -120; OS/2.sTypoAscender = 880.
```

### BlueValues DeltaArray Encoding Example

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/cff2

Illustrates how alignment zone values are encoded into a deltaArray for PrivateDICT. This example shows the conversion from absolute numbers to a deltaArray representation, saving bytes.

```text
[-15 15 700 15 -168 12]
```

--------------------------------

### Hintmask Example with 17 Total Stems

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/cff2

Illustrates the bit field required for hintmask when a CharString has 17 total hints. Three bytes are consumed, and specific bits are set to activate hints 1, 3, and 9.

```cff
0x404000
```

--------------------------------

### Example DELTA exception usage

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/tt_instructions

Illustrates how to construct arguments for DELTA exceptions to move points or modify CVT entries based on specific ppem and magnitude values.

```opentype
    (iteration)
    (point number)
    (arg1: ppem and magnitude)
```

```opentype
```

### JstfScript Table Example for Arabic

Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/jstf

Shows a JstfScript table for the Arabic script, including its ExtenderGlyph table and default JstfLangSys table for justification data. This example illustrates how to define extender glyphs and default justification rules for a script.

```plaintext
ArabicScript | JstfScript table definition
ArabicExtenders | extenderGlyphOffset
ArabicDefJstfLangSys | offset to default JstfLangSys table
1 | jstfLangSysCount
jstfLangSysRecords[0]
“FAR ” | jstfLangSysTag
FarsiJstfLangSys | jstfLangSysOffset
### TrueType Instructions for Anti-Aliasing Management
Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/opentype/spec/tt_instructing_glyphs
This TrueType code sample demonstrates how to check if the installed rasterizer supports anti-aliasing and provides hints for grayscale rendering. It checks the rasterizer version and specific flags to determine appropriate rendering behavior.
```truetype
