This SQL block demonstrates a query to analyze customer data, grouping by segment and calculating counts and average spend. It connects to datasets in your project's data lake for real-time execution.

```sql
SELECT
    customer_segment,
    COUNT(*) as customer_count,
    AVG(total_spend) as avg_spend
FROM customers
WHERE signup_date >= '2024-01-01'
GROUP BY customer_segment
ORDER BY avg_spend DESC;
```
