### cross-reference directive example

Source: https://www.jsolly.com/blog/mastering-gpt-directives-and-parameters/

Example prompt using the cross-reference directive to compare input text to something else, with a detailed reply referencing a biblical passage.

```text
[metaphorical analysis:"I dreamt I was being chased by a lion and a lamb saved me"][cross-reference: The Holy Bible]
```

```text
In the context of this dream, the lion represents danger or threat while the lamb represents innocence or purity. The metaphor could potentially be referencing the biblical passage in Isaiah 11:6, which states "The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them." This passage speaks of a time of peace and harmony, where even the most ferocious of animals will lay down their aggression. In the dream, the lamb symbolizes this peaceful resolution, rescuing the dreamer from the danger represented by the lion. This could be interpreted as a metaphor for the power of innocence and goodness to overcome even the most formidable challenges.
