### Install Palettable using pip

Source: https://jiffyclub.github.io/palettable/index

Install the Palettable library using pip. This command is compatible with Python 2.6, 2.7, and Python 3.

```bash
pip install palettable
```

### Create Custom Cubehelix Palette using palettable.cubehelix

Source: https://jiffyclub.github.io/palettable/cubehelix

This snippet demonstrates how to create a custom Cubehelix color palette using the `make` classmethod from the `palettable.cubehelix` module. It allows for fine-tuning the palette by adjusting parameters such as start color, rotation, and the number of colors. The resulting `palette` object can be used like other Palettable palette instances.

```python
from palettable.cubehelix import Cubehelix
palette = Cubehelix.make(start=0.3, rotation=-0.5, n=16)
```

--------------------------------

### Import a specific Palettable palette

Source: https://jiffyclub.github.io/palettable/index

Demonstrates how to import a specific color palette, 'Dark2_7' from the Colorbrewer qualitative module, for use in Python.

```python
from palettable.colorbrewer.qualitative import Dark2_7
```

--------------------------------

### Create a discrete matplotlib colormap with Palettable

Source: https://jiffyclub.github.io/palettable/index

Generates a discrete matplotlib colormap using 'ListedColormap' from matplotlib and the 'mpl_colors' attribute of a Palettable palette. This is useful when specific, non-interpolated color steps are required.

```python
from matplotlib.colors import ListedColormap
cmap = ListedColormap(palettable.colorbrewer.qualitative.Dark2_7.mpl_colors)
```

--------------------------------

### Apply Palettable colormap to matplotlib imshow

Source: https://jiffyclub.github.io/palettable/index

Applies a Palettable color map to a matplotlib image plot using the '.mpl_colormap' attribute. This allows for customized color representation in visualizations.

```python
from palettable.colorbrewer.sequential import Blues_8
ax.imshow(data, cmap=Blues_8.mpl_colormap)
```

--------------------------------

### Set matplotlib color cycle with Palettable

Source: https://jiffyclub.github.io/palettable/index

Modifies the default color cycle of a matplotlib axes object using the 'mpl_colors' attribute of a Palettable palette. This is useful for cycling through a custom set of colors in plots.

```python
ax.set_prop_cycle('color', palettable.colorbrewer.qualitative.Dark2_8.mpl_colors)
```
