### Install COS Plugin for IBM Cloud CLI

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-network-intelligence/saas?topic=intelligence-importing-network-data-in-custom-format

This command installs the Cloud Object Storage (COS) plugin for the IBM Cloud CLI. This plugin is necessary to manage and interact with IBM Cloud Object Storage instances.

```bash
ibmcloud plugin install cos
```

--------------------------------

### Log in to IBM Cloud CLI

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-network-intelligence/saas?topic=intelligence-importing-network-data-in-custom-format

This command initiates the login process for the IBM Cloud CLI, often requiring a one-time passcode for authentication. It's the first step in interacting with IBM Cloud services via the command line.

```bash
ibmcloud login --sso
```

--------------------------------

### Upload File to COS Bucket

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-network-intelligence/saas?topic=intelligence-importing-network-data-in-custom-format

This command uploads a file from your local workstation to a specified IBM Cloud Object Storage bucket. You need to provide the bucket name, the desired object key (file name), and the local file path.

```bash
ibmcloud cos object-put --bucket <bucket name> --key <file name with the data format> --body <file path>
```

```bash
ibmcloud cos object-put --bucket data_bucket --key file_name.csv --body /Users/test_user/Documents/demo_folder/demo_file.csv
```

--------------------------------

### Republish Historical Data Script

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-network-intelligence/saas?topic=intelligence-importing-sevone-data-in-network

This shell command triggers the historical data transfer process from the SevOne appliance to the IBM Network Intelligence Kafka cluster. It must be executed on the SevOne environment after the initial Kafka configuration is established.

```bash
/usr/local/scripts/utilities/republish-historical-data.sh
```

--------------------------------

### List Objects in COS Bucket

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-network-intelligence/saas?topic=intelligence-importing-network-data-in-custom-format

This command lists all objects within a specified IBM Cloud Object Storage bucket. It's used to verify the contents of a bucket, such as checking if files have been uploaded successfully.

```bash
ibmcloud cos list-objects-v2 --bucket <bucket name>
```

--------------------------------

### Configure IAM Authentication for COS CLI

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-network-intelligence/saas?topic=intelligence-importing-network-data-in-custom-format

This command configures the authentication method for the COS CLI, specifically setting it to use Identity and Access Management (IAM). IAM is IBM Cloud's system for managing access to resources.

```bash
ibmcloud cos config auth
```

--------------------------------

### Configure CRN for COS CLI

Source: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-network-intelligence/saas?topic=intelligence-importing-network-data-in-custom-format

This command configures the Cloud Resource Name (CRN) for the COS CLI. The CRN uniquely identifies your Cloud Object Storage instance and is required for many COS operations.

```bash
ibmcloud cos config crn
```
