columnGuideItem[2] = new ColumnGuideItem(15, Color.Red);

columnGuideItem[3] = new ColumnGuideItem(20, Color.Red);

columnGuideItem[4] = new ColumnGuideItem(25, Color.Red);

this.editControl1.ColumnGuideItems = columnGuideItem;

// Font used to calculate the column location.

this.editControl1.ColumnGuidesMeasuringFont = new Font("Microsoft Sans Serif", 12);

Source: https://help.syncfusion.com/windowsforms/classic/databoundgrid/how-to/how-does-the-helper-class-support-percentage-sizinng-in-gridcontrol-or-griddataboundgrid

This example demonstrates initializing the helper class, wiring it to grid controls with a Hashtable of percentage values, and handling resize events to toggle sizing modes.

```C#
private void Form1_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
{
    DataTable dataTable = new DataTable();
    for(int i=0; i<10; i++)
    {
            dataTable.Columns.Add();
            dataTable.Rows.Add(new object[]{});
    this.gridDataBoundGrid1.DataSource = dataTable;
	//There is a condition check in accepting hashtable values.
	//The total of values passed must not be greater than (100 - Unmodified Column count)
    ht = new Hashtable();
    ht.Add(1,20);
    ht.Add(9,30);
