Installs the OpenStack command line client within a virtual environment. This method isolates the installation and is recommended for managing dependencies. It involves creating, activating, and then using pip to install the client.

```bash
[user@localhost]$ virtualenv ~/venv
[user@localhost]$ source ~/venv/bin/activate
(venv)user@localhost$ pip install python-openstackclient
```

Upgrades the setuptools package to resolve potential errors during the installation of Python packages, specifically the 'Command python setup.py egg_info failed with error code 1' error. This is a common fix for installation problems.

```bash
[user@localhost]$ pip install --upgrade setuptools
```

```bash
[user@localhost]$ pip3 install --upgrade setuptools
```

### Select local::lib for Module Installation

Source: https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/change_language/en-us_return_to=%2Fhc%2Fen-us%2Farticles%2F217716877-CPAN

Chooses 'local::lib' as the preferred method for handling module installations without root privileges. This ensures modules are installed in the user's home directory.

```shell
Warning: You do not have write permission for Perl library directories.
To install modules, you need to configure a local Perl library directory or
escalate your privileges.  CPAN can help you by bootstrapping the local::lib
module or by configuring itself to use 'sudo' (if available).  You may also
resolve this problem manually if you need to customize your setup.
What approach do you want?  (Choose 'local::lib', 'sudo' or 'manual')
 [local::lib]
Initialize a new, empty Git repository in the current directory. This command creates a hidden .git subdirectory where Git stores metadata.
```bash
[server]$ git init
Initialized empty Git repository in /home/username/example.com/.git/

```
--------------------------------
### Navigate to Application Directory
Source: https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/change_language/en-us_return_to=%2Fhc%2Fen-us%2Farticles%2F216445317-Set-up-a-Git-repository
Change the current directory to your application's or website's root folder. This is where the Git repository will be initialized.
```bash
[server]$ cd /home/username/example.com

```
--------------------------------
### Install Virtualenv for Python
Source: https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/change_language/en-us_return_to=%2Fhc%2Fen-us%2Farticles%2F235817468-Getting-started-with-the-OpenStack-command-line-client
Installs the virtualenv package, which allows you to create isolated Python environments. This is a crucial step for installing the OpenStack CLI in a virtual environment to avoid conflicts with system-wide packages.
```bash
[user@localhost]$ sudo apt-get install python-virtualenv
```
