Example of declaring and selecting a variable in MS SQL, which may require batch execution mode.

```sql
Declare @RowNo int =1;
SELECT @RowNo;
```

--------------------------------

### Open Multiple SQL Files

Source: https://www.heidisql.com/help.php

Launch HeidiSQL and open multiple .sql files in separate query tabs by listing them as arguments.

```bash
c:\path\to\heidisql.exe fileA.sql path\to\fileB.sql fileC.sql ...
```

--------------------------------

### Use Custom Portable Settings

Source: https://www.heidisql.com/help.php

```bash
c:\path\to\heidisql.exe --psettings=c:\temp\p.txt
```

--------------------------------

### Connect to a Non-Stored Session

Source: https://www.heidisql.com/help.php

Establish a connection to a database without using stored session settings by providing host, user, password, and port directly.

```bash
c:\path\to\heidisql.exe -h="127.0.0.1" -u=root -p=Mypass -P=3307
```

--------------------------------

### Parameterized SQL Query

Source: https://www.heidisql.com/help.php

Define bind parameters in queries by using the ':p' syntax after enabling the Bind parameter option.

```sql
select ':p'
```

--------------------------------

### Change SQL Delimiter

Source: https://www.heidisql.com/help.php

Use custom delimiters to prevent syntax errors when executing compound queries like function definitions.

```sql
DELIMITER !!
-- your code
DELIMITER ;
```
