### Start the ColdFusion installer

Source: https://guides.adobe.com/coldfusion/en/docs/install-and-configure-coldfusion/installing-the-server-configuration.html

Run the installer from the directory containing the installation file. For GUI mode, use ./<filename> -i gui.

```bash
./<filename>
```

--------------------------------

### Start ColdFusion

Source: https://guides.adobe.com/coldfusion/en/docs/install-and-configure-coldfusion/installing-the-server-configuration.html

Start the ColdFusion server after installation. If an external web server was configured, the cf-connectors.sh script runs automatically on first start.

```bash
/cf_root/cfusion/bin/coldfusion start
```

--------------------------------

### Run the uninstall script

Source: https://guides.adobe.com/coldfusion/en/docs/install-and-configure-coldfusion/installing-the-server-configuration.html

Execute this command to start the ColdFusion uninstaller on UNIX systems.

```bash
./uninstall.sh
```

--------------------------------

### Windows: Run hotfix installer

Source: https://guides.adobe.com/coldfusion/en/docs/install-and-configure-coldfusion/coldfusion-2023-release-update-22.html

Command to run the hotfix installer on Windows. Replace <cf_root> and <InstallerRepositoryUnzippedPath> with actual paths.

```bash
<cf_root>\jre\bin\java.exe -jar <InstallerRepositoryUnzippedPath>\bundles\updateinstallers\hotfix-022-330928.jar
```

--------------------------------

### Import certificate into local truststore

Source: https://guides.adobe.com/coldfusion/en/docs/install-and-configure-coldfusion/installing-the-server-configuration.html

Imports the certificate into the local truststore using keytool. Use the password specified during installation.

```bash
cfroot\jre\bin\keytool.exe -import -keystore"cfroot\jre\lib\security\cacerts" -file selfsignedcert.cer -storepass password
```

--------------------------------

### Start, stop, and restart ColdFusion on Windows

Source: https://guides.adobe.com/coldfusion/en/docs/install-and-configure-coldfusion/installing-the-server-configuration.html

Run these commands from cfroot\cfusion\bin. The -console argument is optional; without it, logs are saved in cfroot\cfusion\logs. Paused tasks misfire when restarting.

```command
coldfusion.exe -start -console
```

```command
coldfusion.exe -stop -console
```

```command
coldfusion.exe -restart -console
```

--------------------------------

### Generate SSL certificate with keytool

Source: https://guides.adobe.com/coldfusion/en/docs/install-and-configure-coldfusion/installing-the-server-configuration.html

Run this command to create a certificate file. If no password is provided, the default password for keystore and key is changeit. The command creates a certificate.keystore in the user's home directory.

```plaintext
_cfroot_ \jre\bin\keytool -genkey -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA
```

--------------------------------

### Linux: Run hotfix installer

Source: https://guides.adobe.com/coldfusion/en/docs/install-and-configure-coldfusion/coldfusion-2023-release-update-22.html

```
--------------------------------
Source: https://guides.adobe.com/coldfusion/en/docs/install-and-configure-coldfusion/installing-the-server-configuration.html
Use these commands to configure Apache on Windows and Linux/Mac. Replace the placeholders with the actual paths.
```plaintext
(Windows only) wsconfig.exe ws apache dir <apache_conf_directory> bin <apache_bin_directory>/httpd script <apache_bin_directory>/apachectl
```
```plaintext
(Linux or Mac only) ./wsconfig ws apache dir <apache_conf_directory> bin <apache_bin_directory>/httpd script <apache_bin_directory>/apachectl

### Create a chat model with ChatModel()

Source: https://guides.adobe.com/coldfusion/en/docs/coldfusion-ai-guide/create-a-chat-model.html

Creates a chat model instance using the ChatModel() function with a configuration struct. The struct sets the provider to openAi, uses the application's API key, selects the gpt-4o-mini model, and sets temperature to 0.7. This is the minimal setup required to run a first call.

```coldfusion
chatConfig = {
                PROVIDER  : "openAi",
                APIKEY    : "#application.apiKey#",
                MODELNAME : "gpt-4o-mini",
                TEMPERATURE : 0.7
            };
            chatModel = ChatModel(chatConfig);
```
