### Managing Network Channels with ME Controller

Source: https://guide.appliedenergistics.org/1.20.1/getting-started

Explains the concept of network channels in Applied Energistics 2, the 8-channel limit per network, and how to overcome this limit by adding an ME Controller and using Smart Cables for visualization.

```text
Networks are limited to 8 channels by default. Exceeding this limit requires an ME Controller.
Smart cables help visualize channel routing within the network.
```

--------------------------------

### Expanding Network with Import/Export Buses

Source: https://guide.appliedenergistics.org/1.20.1/getting-started

Demonstrates how to use ME Import Buses and ME Export Buses to automate item processing, such as inserting ores into a furnace and extracting the processed items back into the ME network.

```text
Place an ME Export Bus on top of a furnace to input ores.
Place an ME Import Bus on the bottom of the furnace to extract furnaced items.
```

### Certus Quartz Growth Acceleration

Source: https://guide.appliedenergistics.org/1.20.1/getting-started

Explains how to accelerate the growth of certus quartz using the Growth Accelerator. It also suggests using a Wooden Crank if an Energy Acceptor or Vibration Chamber cannot be crafted immediately. Harvesting automation is linked separately.

```English
By themselves, certus quartz buds grow very slowly. Luckily the Growth Accelerator massively accelerates this process when placed adjacent to the budding block. You should build a few of these as your first priority.
If you don't have enough quartz to also make an Energy Acceptor or Vibration Chamber, you can make a Wooden Crank and stick it on the end of your accelerator.
Harvesting the certus automatically is described here.
```

--------------------------------

### Charger Automation Setup

Source: https://guide.appliedenergistics.org/1.20.1/example-setups/charger-automation

This setup automates a Charger using AE2 components. An ME Pattern Provider supplies ingredients, and an Import Bus with a Storage Bus retrieves and stores the charged items.

```APIDOC
Charger Automation Setup:
  Components:
    - ME Pattern Provider (1): Configured with relevant Processing Patterns. Provides energy to the Charger.
    - ME Import Bus (2): Default configuration. Pulls charged items from the Charger.
    - ME Storage Bus (3): Default configuration. Stores items in the Pattern Provider, returning them to the main network.
  Workflow:
    1. ME Pattern Provider pushes ingredients into the Charger.
    2. Charger processes the items.
    3. ME Import Bus on a separate subnet retrieves the charged items.
    4. ME Storage Bus on the same subnet stores the items in the Pattern Provider, sending them back to the main AE2 network.
```

--------------------------------

### Growing Certus Quartz

Source: https://guide.appliedenergistics.org/1.20.1/getting-started

Details the process of growing certus quartz from budding certus blocks, similar to amethyst growth in Minecraft. It covers bud drops, cluster drops, the effect of fortune, and the different tiers of budding certus blocks.

```English
Certus quartz buds will sprout from budding certus blocks, similar to amethyst. If you break a bud that is not finished growing, it will drop one Certus Quartz Dust, unchanged by fortune. If you break a fully grown cluster, it will drop four Certus Quartz Crystals, and fortune will increase this number.
There are 4 tiers of budding certus blocks: Flawless, Flawed, Chipped, and Damaged.
Every time a bud grows by another stage, the budding block has a chance to degrade by one tier, eventually turning into a plain certus quartz block. They can be repaired (and new budding blocks created) by throwing the budding block (or a certus quartz block) in water with one or more Charged Certus Quartz Crystal.
```

  Workflow:
    1. ME Import Bus imports blocks from the input barrel into the network.
    2. ME Formation Planes place the imported blocks.
    3. ME Annihilation Planes break the placed blocks, applying Fortune.
    4. ME Storage Bus stores the resulting items in the output barrel.
```
### Autocrafting Process Overview
Source: https://guide.appliedenergistics.org/1.20.1/ae2-mechanics/autocrafting
Explains the step-by-step process of how autocrafting works in Applied Energistics 2, from initiating a request to completing a craft.
```APIDOC
Autocrafting Process:
  1. Crafting Request Initiation:
     - User in terminal clicking an autocraftable item.
     - Export bus or interface with a crafting card requesting an item.
     - Use 'pick block' (middle-mouse) to request crafts of items in stock.
  2. Ingredient Calculation & Storage:
     - ME system calculates required ingredients and prerequisite steps.
     - Stores calculations in the selected crafting CPU.
  3. Ingredient Provision & Crafting:
     - ME Pattern Provider pushes specified ingredients to adjacent inventory.
     - For crafting patterns: pushes to a Molecular Assembler.
     - For processing patterns: pushes to another machine or setup.
  4. Craft Result Return:
     - Result is returned to the system via import bus, interface, or pushed into a pattern provider.
     - **Requirement:** An 'item entering system' event must occur (e.g., not just piping into a chest with a Storage Bus).
```
### Finding Meteorites and Initial Materials
Source: https://guide.appliedenergistics.org/1.20.1/getting-started
Explains how to locate meteorites in Minecraft for Applied Energistics 2. Meteorites contain essential resources like certus quartz clusters and a Mysterious Cube. It also mentions crafting a Meteorite Compass to find nearby meteorites.
```English
To get started with Applied Energistics 2, one must first find a meteorite. These are fairly common and tend to leave massive holes in the terrain. If you haven't, you can craft a Meteorite Compass, which will point toward the nearest Mysterious Cube.

Once you have found a meteorite, mine into its center. You will find certus quartz clusters, certus quartz buds, budding certus blocks of various types, and a Mysterious Cube in the center.

Mine the certus quartz clusters and any certus quartz blocks you find. You can also pick up the budding certus blocks, but without silk touch they will degrade by 1 tier.

Do not break any flawless budding certus, as even with silk touch they will degrade to flawed budding certus, and it is impossible to repair them back to flawless.

Also mine the Mysterious Cube in the center of the meteorite to gain all 4 inscriber presses.
```
```

--------------------------------

### Interface Autostocking Workflow

Source: https://guide.appliedenergistics.org/1.20.1/example-setups/interface-autostocking

Explains the process of how autostocking works. When an ME Interface lacks sufficient items and has a Crafting Card, it requests the network to autocraft more. ME Storage Buses then provide network access to the interface contents.

```APIDOC
Workflow:
1. ME Interface checks item stock. If insufficient and a Crafting Card is present, it requests autocrafting.
2. Network autocrafting produces the item.
3. ME Storage Buses grant the network access to the items within the ME Interfaces.
```

--------------------------------

### Molecular Assembler Optifine Compatibility Note

Source: https://guide.appliedenergistics.org/1.20.1/items-blocks-machines/molecular_assembler

A note regarding a known issue where Optifine can break the 'push to adjacent inventories' function of the Molecular Assembler, potentially causing crafting setups to fail.

```Minecraft Modding
Optifine breaks the "push to adjacent inventories" function so most crafting setups with assemblers won't work.
```

--------------------------------
