### Change selection box colour in gtk.css

Source: http://gscan2pdf.sourceforge.net

Create a file named ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css with this content to change the colour of the selection box in the image viewer. The example sets a blue border and background.

```css
.rubberband,
rubberband,
flowbox rubberband,
treeview.view rubberband,
.content-view rubberband,
.content-view .rubberband {
  border: 1px solid #2a76c6;
  background-color: rgba(42, 118, 198, 0.2); }
```

### Specify scanner device with gscan2pdf --device

Source: http://gscan2pdf.sourceforge.net

Use this command to specify a scanner device when gscan2pdf cannot automatically find it, such as when the scanner is not connected directly to the machine and the SANE daemon (saned) is not installed.

```bash
gscan2pdf --device <device>
```

### Test updated translations with perl and gscan2pdf --locale

Source: http://gscan2pdf.sourceforge.net

Commands to compile and test updated translation files. First generate the .mo files with Makefile.PL, then run gscan2pdf with the locale option. For non-standard locales, set the LC_* and LANG environment variables to the desired locale (e.g., Russian or German) before running the command.

```bash
perl Makefile.PL LOCALEDIR=./locale
```

```bash
perl -I lib bin/gscan2pdf --log=log --locale=locale
```

```bash
LC_ALL=ru_RU.utf8 LC_MESSAGES=ru_RU.utf8 LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.utf8 LANG=ru_RU.utf8 LANGUAGE=ru_RU.utf8 perl -I lib bin/gscan2pdf --log=log --locale=locale
```

```bash
LC_ALL=de_DE LC_MESSAGES=de_DE LC_CTYPE=de_DE LANG=de_DE LANGUAGE=de_DE perl -I lib bin/gscan2pdf --log=log --locale=locale
```
