### Install PyICU on Debian/Ubuntu

Source: https://greatgramps.readthedocs.io

Install PyICU on Debian/Ubuntu for locale-aware sorting. Without it, Gramps logs a warning and falls back to less accurate sorting of names and places.

```bash
sudo apt install python3-icu
```

### Install greatgramps with extras

Source: https://greatgramps.readthedocs.io

Install greatgramps with the cli, html, and pdf extras. The core package only reads the Gramps database; extras enable the grgr command-line tool, static site generation, and PDF commands (which also require Ghostscript).

```bash
pip install greatgramps[cli,html,pdf]
```
