### Setup Many-to-Many Relationship with Fieldmanager

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/misc/many-to-many-relationships

This snippet demonstrates how to establish a many-to-many relationship between two custom post types ('actor' and 'movie') in WordPress using Fieldmanager. It involves registering the post types and then configuring Fieldmanager_Autocomplete fields with Fieldmanager_Datasource_Post to link them reciprocally. The $reciprocal property is key to defining the bidirectional relationship.

```PHP
add_action( 'init', function () {
	register_post_type( 'actor', [
		'public'   => true,
		'supports' => [ 'title' ],
		'label'    => 'Actors',
	] );
	register_post_type( 'movie', [
		'public'   => true,
		'supports' => [ 'title' ],
		'label'    => 'Movies',
	] );
} );
add_action( 'fm_post_actor', function ( $post_type ) {
	( new Fieldmanager_Autocomplete(
		[
			'name'           => 'movies',
			'limit'          => 0,
			'sortable'       => true,
			'serialize_data' => false,
			'datasource'     => new Fieldmanager_Datasource_Post(
				[
					'reciprocal' => 'actors',
					'query_args' => [ 'post_type' => 'movie' ],
				]
			),
		]
	) )->add_meta_box( 'Movies', $post_type );
} );
add_action( 'fm_post_movie', function ( $post_type ) {
	( new Fieldmanager_Autocomplete(
		[
			'name'           => 'actors',
			'limit'          => 0,
			'sortable'       => true,
			'serialize_data' => false,
			'datasource'     => new Fieldmanager_Datasource_Post(
				[
					'reciprocal' => 'movies',
					'query_args' => [ 'post_type' => 'actor' ],
				]
			),
		]
	) )->add_meta_box( 'Actors', $post_type );
} );
```

### Add Fields to Menu Items using Fieldmanager

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/contexts/nav-menu-context

This example demonstrates how to add custom fields to WordPress menu items using Fieldmanager. It utilizes the 'fm_menu_item' action hook to define a group of fields, including text and textarea inputs, which are then associated with menu items.

```PHP
/**
 * Menu items.
 */
add_action(
	'fm_menu_item',
	function() {
		$fm = new Fieldmanager_Group(
			[
				'name'     => 'example_menu_fields',
				'children' => [
					'title' => new Fieldmanager_TextField(
						[
						'label'       => __( 'Dropdown Title', 'example-project' ),
						'description' => __( "Defaults to the Menu Item's Navigation Label", 'example-project' ),
						]
					),
					'description' => new Fieldmanager_TextArea(
						[
						'label' => __( 'Dropdown Description', 'example-project' ),
						]
					),
				],
			]
		);
		return new \Fieldmanager_Context_Menu_Item( $fm );
	}
);
```

```php
$fm = new Fieldmanager_Group( array(
    'name'           => 'meta_fields',
    'serialize_data' => false,
    'children'       => array(
        'text'     => new Fieldmanager_Textfield( 'Text Field' ),
        'subgroup' => new Fieldmanager_Group( array(
            'children'       => array(
                'text'     => new Fieldmanager_Textfield( 'Text Field' ),
                'textarea' => new Fieldmanager_TextArea( 'TextArea' ),
                'checkbox' => new Fieldmanager_Checkbox( 'Checkbox' ),
            ),
        ) ),
    ),
) );
$fm->add_meta_box( 'Multi-Level Groups', 'post' );
```

### Fieldmanager API Docs: Fieldmanager_Field Class

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/misc/storing-data-unserialized

API documentation for the Fieldmanager_Field class, specifically detailing the serialize_data property. This section outlines how data serialization is handled within the Fieldmanager library.

```APIDOC
Fieldmanager_Field:
  $serialize_data: bool
    Description: Controls whether the field's data should be serialized before saving.
    Default: true
    Usage: Set to false to store data in its raw, unserialized format.
    Example:
      // To store data unserialized:
      $my_field = new Fieldmanager_Field('My Field', array('serialize_data' => false));
    Related Methods:
      - Fieldmanager_Field::__construct()
      - Fieldmanager_Group::add_field()
    Notes:
      - Serialization is typically used for complex data types like arrays or objects.
      - Storing data unserialized can be useful for performance or compatibility reasons.
```

### PHP: Fieldmanager Group with Individual Child Keys

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/misc/storing-data-unserialized

Creates a group where each child field is stored using its own meta key, prefixed with the group's name. This is enabled by setting `serialize_data` to `false` for the group, ensuring data structure is decoupled from presentation.

```php
$fm = new Fieldmanager_Group( array(
	'name'           => 'meta_fields',
	'serialize_data' => false,
	'children'       => array(
		'text'     => new Fieldmanager_Textfield( 'Text Field' ),
		'textarea' => new Fieldmanager_TextArea( 'TextArea' ),
		'checkbox' => new Fieldmanager_Checkbox( 'Checkbox' ),
	)
) );
$fm->add_meta_box( 'Single-Level Group', 'post' );
```

--------------------------------

### PHP: Fieldmanager Group without Prefix

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/misc/storing-data-unserialized

Configures a group where child fields are stored with individual meta keys, but without the group's name prepended to the key. This is controlled by setting `serialize_data` and `add_to_prefix` to `false` for the group.

```php
$fm = new Fieldmanager_Group( array(
	'name'           => 'meta_fields',
	'serialize_data' => false,
	'add_to_prefix'  => false,
	'children'       => array(
		'text'     => new Fieldmanager_Textfield( 'Text Field' ),
		'textarea' => new Fieldmanager_TextArea( 'TextArea' ),
		'checkbox' => new Fieldmanager_Checkbox( 'Checkbox' ),
	)
) );
$fm->add_meta_box( 'Single-Level Group', 'post' );
```

### Add Basic Password Field using Fieldmanager in PHP

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/fields/password

This snippet demonstrates how to create and add a basic password field to a WordPress post using the Fieldmanager library. It utilizes the `Fieldmanager_Password` class and hooks into the WordPress action `fm_post_post` to register the meta box.

```php
add_action( 'fm_post_post', function() {
	$fm = new Fieldmanager_Password( array(
		'name' => 'demo-password',
	) );
	$fm->add_meta_box( 'Password Field', array( 'post' ) );
} );
```

--------------------------------

### PHP: Nested Fieldmanager Groups with Individual Keys

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/misc/storing-data-unserialized

Illustrates a complex scenario with nested groups where all fields, regardless of their nesting level, are stored in individual meta keys. This is achieved by setting `serialize_data` to `false` for all relevant groups, ensuring maximum data separation.

```php
$fm = new Fieldmanager_Group( array(
	'name'           => 'outer_group',
	'serialize_data' => false,
	'children'       => array(
		'title' => new Fieldmanager_Textfield( 'Title' ),
		'inner_group' => new Fieldmanager_Group( array(
			'name'           => 'inner_group',
			'serialize_data' => false,
			'add_to_prefix'  => false,
			'children'       => array(
				'textarea' => new Fieldmanager_TextArea( 'TextArea' ),
				'media'    => new Fieldmanager_Media( 'Media File' ),
			)
		) )
	)
) );
$fm->add_meta_box( 'Nested Group Example', 'post' );
```

--------------------------------

### Basic Checkbox Field (PHP)

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/fields/checkbox

Demonstrates how to add a basic boolean checkbox field to a WordPress post using Fieldmanager. It sets a name and label for the checkbox and adds it as a meta box to the 'post' post type.

```php
add_action( 'fm_post_post', function() {
	$fm = new Fieldmanager_Checkbox( array(
		'name' => 'demo-field',
		'label' => 'Checkbox Label',
	) );
	$fm->add_meta_box( 'Basic Checkbox', array( 'post' ) );
} );
```

--------------------------------

### PHP: Fieldmanager Repeating Field Unserialized

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/misc/storing-data-unserialized

Configures a repeating text field to store each iteration's data in a separate meta key, bypassing default serialization. This is achieved by setting the `limit` to 0 and `serialize_data` to `false` on the Fieldmanager_Textfield instance.

```php
$fm = new Fieldmanager_Textfield( array(
	'name'           => 'repeating_text_field',
	'limit'          => 0,
	'serialize_data' => false,
) );
$fm->add_meta_box( 'Repeating Standalone Text Field', 'post' );
```

### PHP/JS: Limit Autocomplete Results with custom_args_js_event

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/misc/using-custom_args_js_event-with-autocomplete-fields

Demonstrates how to use the `custom_args_js_event` argument with Fieldmanager_Autocomplete fields to pass custom data during AJAX requests. This allows for dynamic filtering of autocomplete results, such as limiting posts to a selected category. It includes PHP code for setting up the fields and JavaScript for capturing the custom argument.

```PHP
add_action( 'fm_post_post', function() {
	$fm = new Fieldmanager_Select( array(
		'name' => 'category',
		'datasource' => new Fieldmanager_Datasource_Term( array(
			'taxonomy' => 'category',
		) ),
	) );
	$fm->add_meta_box( 'Select a Category', array( 'post' ) );
	$fm = new Fieldmanager_Autocomplete( array(
		'name' => 'posts',
		// This is a JS event that will fire on our field.
		'custom_args_js_event' => 'fm_demo_custom_args_js_event',
		'datasource' => new Fieldmanager_Datasource_Post( array(
			// By default, FM auto-generates the ajax action as a checksum of
			// the datasource args. Ours change, so we provide a static action.
			'ajax_action' => 'my_category_posts',
			'query_args' => array(
				'post_type' => 'post',
				// FM passes the custom data that we set in JavaScript in the
				// "fm_custom_args" POST key.
				'category' => ( ! empty( $_POST['fm_custom_args'] ) ? intval( $_POST['fm_custom_args'] ) : null ),
			),
		) ),
	) );
	$fm->add_meta_box( 'Related Posts', array( 'post' ) );
} );
```

```JavaScript
add_action( 'admin_footer', function() {
	?>
	<script type="text/javascript">
	jQuery( function( $ ) {
		// We hook into our custom event on the autocomplete field, and return
		// the selected category from our select dropdown.
		$( '.fm-posts input.fm-element' ).on( 'fm_demo_custom_args_js_event', function( e ) {
			return $( '.fm-category option:selected' ).val();
		} );
	} );
	</script>
	<?php
} );
```

### Add Fieldmanager Fields to After Title Context

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/misc/adding-fields-after-the-title

This PHP code snippet shows how to define and add Fieldmanager fields to the custom 'my_after_title' context. It creates a Fieldmanager_Group containing text and link fields and attaches them to the 'post' post type using the 'high' priority, targeting the custom context.

```PHP
function my_after_title_fm_fields() {
    $fm = new Fieldmanager_Group( array(
        'name'     => 'after_title_fm_fields',
        'children' => array(
            'After Title Text' => new Fieldmanager_TextField( 'After Title Text' ) ),
            'After Title Link' => new Fieldmanager_Link( 'After Title Link' ),
        ),
    ) );
    $fm->add_meta_box( 'After Title', array( 'post' ), 'my_after_title', 'high' );
}
add_action( 'fm_post_post', 'my_after_title_fm_fields' );
```

### Datepicker with Custom Format Fieldmanager PHP

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/fields/datepicker

Illustrates how to customize the date display format for the Fieldmanager Datepicker. It uses 'date_format' for PHP rendering and 'js_opts' with 'dateFormat' for the jQuery UI Datepicker's user interface. This allows for flexible date representation.

```PHP
add_action( 'fm_post_post', function() {
	$fm = new Fieldmanager_Datepicker( array(
		'name' => 'demo-field',
		'date_format' => 'Y-m-d',
		'js_opts' => array(
			'dateFormat' => 'yy-mm-dd',
		),
	) );
	$fm->add_meta_box( 'Datepicker Demo', array( 'post' ) );
} );
```

--------------------------------

### Customize TextArea Field Size in PHP

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/fields/textarea

Illustrates how to customize the size of a TextArea field by setting the 'rows' and 'cols' attributes within the 'attributes' array. This allows for finer control over the visual appearance of the textarea element.

```php
add_action( 'fm_post_post', function() {
	$fm = new Fieldmanager_TextArea( array(
		'name' => 'demo-field',
		'attributes' => array(
			'rows' => 3,
			'cols' => 30,
		),
	) );
	$fm->add_meta_box( 'TextArea Demo', array( 'post' ) );
} );
```

### Register Meta Boxes After Title Context

Source: https://fieldmanager.org/docs/misc/adding-fields-after-the-title

This PHP code snippet demonstrates how to register a custom meta box context ('my_after_title') that appears after the post title in the WordPress editor. It uses the 'edit_form_after_title' hook to render existing meta boxes in the new context and then unsets it from the global $wp_meta_boxes array.

```PHP
function my_edit_form_after_title() {
    // get globals vars
    global $post, $wp_meta_boxes;
    // render the FM meta box in 'my_after_title' context
    do_meta_boxes( get_current_screen(), 'my_after_title', $post );
    // unset 'my_after_title' context from the post's meta boxes
    unset( $wp_meta_boxes['post']['my_after_title'] );
}
add_action( 'edit_form_after_title', 'my_edit_form_after_title' );
```
