### gtmktime Filter Example

Source: https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/documentation/Cicerone/Cicerone_Likelihood/Exposure.html

Example filter for gtmktime to select good quality data and LAT configuration.

```bash
filter = (DATA_QUAL==1 && LAT_CONFIG==1)
```

### Binned Analysis Configuration with Energy Dispersion

Source: https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/documentation/Pass8_edisp_usage.html

Example of setting up a binned analysis with a specific configuration for energy dispersion correction using edisp_bins=-2.

```python
obs = BinnedObs(srcMaps='srcmap.fits',expCube='ltcube.fits',binnedExpMap='bexpmap.fits',irfs='CALDB')
conf = BinnedConfig(edisp_bins=-2)
like = BinnedAnalysis(binnedData=obs,srcModel='srcmdl.xml',config=conf)
```

### gtselect Command for P7REP-like Analysis

Source: https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/documentation/Pass8_usage.html

Example of the gtselect command with evclass and evtype parameters for a standard, P7REP-like analysis.

```bash
prompt> gtselect evclass=128 evtype=3
```

### gtobssim XML: Disable Energy Dispersion for Specific Source

Source: https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/documentation/Pass8_usage.html

Example of how to disable energy dispersion simulation for a specific source within a gtobssim XML model.

```xml
<source name="GalacticDiffuse_v06">
<spectrum escale="MeV"  apply_edisp="false">
<SpectrumClass name="MapCube" params="6.6267,$(FERMI_DIR)/refdata/fermi/diffuseModels/gll_iem_v06.fit"/>
<use_spectrum frame="galaxy"/>
</spectrum>
</source>
```

### Download Photon Weekly Data

Source: https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/documentation/Pass8_usage.html

Use wget to download photon weekly data files from the Fermi LAT Data Server.

```bash
wget -m -P . -nH --cut-dirs=4 -np -e robots=off http://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/lat/weekly/photon/
```

--------------------------------

### Download Spacecraft Weekly Data

Source: https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/documentation/Pass8_usage.html

Use wget to download spacecraft weekly data files from the Fermi LAT Data Server.

```bash
wget -m -P . -nH --cut-dirs=4 -np -e robots=off http://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/lat/weekly/spacecraft/
```

--------------------------------

### XML Model: Disable Energy Dispersion for Specific Source

Source: https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/documentation/Pass8_usage.html

Example of how to disable energy dispersion for a specific source, like the Galactic diffuse model, within an XML configuration file.

```xml
<source name="gll_iem_v06" type="DiffuseSource">
<spectrum type="ConstantValue"  apply_edisp="false">
<parameter free="1" max="10.0" min="0.0" name="Value" scale="1.0" value= "1.0"/>
</spectrum>
<spatialModel file="$(FERMI_DIR)/refdata/fermi/diffuseModels/gll_iem_v06.fit" type="MapCubeFunction">
<parameter free="0" max="1000.0" min="0.001" name="Normalization" scale= "1.0" value="1.0"/>
</spatialModel>
</source>
```

--------------------------------

### Download Extended Weekly Data

Source: https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/documentation/Pass8_usage.html

Use wget to download extended weekly data files from the Fermi LAT Data Server.

```bash
wget -m -P . -nH --cut-dirs=4 -np -e robots=off http://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/lat/weekly/extended/
```

--------------------------------

### Enable Energy Dispersion Correction

Source: https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/documentation/Pass8_usage.html

Use this command to enable energy dispersion handling in PyLikelihood. This correction improves accuracy but increases processing time.

```python
like.logLike.set_edisp_flag(True)
```

--------------------------------

### Running gtpsearch with Plotting Enabled

Source: https://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/ssc/data/analysis/documentation/Cicerone/Cicerone_Thread_Use/Basic_Concepts.html

This command invokes the gtpsearch tool and enables the plotting feature, which is available for tools like gtburstfit, gtlike, and gtpsearch.

```bash
gtpsearch plot=yes
```
