### Configure stdio MCP Server via WP-CLI

Source: https://emcptools.com/docs/connecting/claude-code

Use this configuration in `.mcp.json` for local development when WP-CLI is available. Ensure the path to your WordPress installation is absolute.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "emcp-tools": {
      "type": "stdio",
      "command": "wp",
      "args": [
        "mcp-adapter",
        "serve",
        "--server=emcp-tools-server",
        "--user=admin",
        "--path=/absolute/path/to/wordpress"
      ]
    }
  }
}
```

--------------------------------

### Configure WP-CLI with Full Paths on Windows

Source: https://emcptools.com/docs/connecting/claude-desktop

On Windows, specify the full paths to `php.exe` and `wp-cli.phar` within the `claude_desktop_config.json` file for connecting Claude Desktop. Adjust paths to match your local setup.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "emcp-tools": {
      "command": "C:\\laragon\\bin\\php\\php-8.4.15-nts-Win32-vs17-x64\\php.exe",
      "args": [
        "C:\\wp-cli\\wp-cli.phar",
        "mcp-adapter",
        "serve",
        "--server=emcp-tools-server",
        "--user=admin",
        "--path=C:\\laragon\\www\\your-site"
      ]
    }
  }
}
```

--------------------------------

### WP-CLI Path Configuration for Windows/Laragon

Source: https://emcptools.com/docs/connecting/wp-cli

On Windows, WP-CLI often requires explicit paths to PHP and the WP-CLI phar. Adjust the paths to match your specific installation.

```bash
"C:\laragon\bin\php\php-8.4.15-nts-Win32-vs17-x64\php.exe" "C:\wp-cli\wp-cli.phar"
```

--------------------------------

### Configure WP-CLI for Claude Desktop

Source: https://emcptools.com/docs/connecting/claude-desktop

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "emcp-tools": {
      "command": "wp",
      "args": [
        "mcp-adapter",
        "serve",
        "--server=emcp-tools-server",
        "--user=admin",
        "--path=/absolute/path/to/wordpress"
      ]
    }
--------------------------------
### emcp_tools_fs_loaded Hook
Source: https://emcptools.com/docs/advanced/filters-and-hooks
```php
add_action( 'emcp_tools_fs_loaded', function () {
    if ( emcp_tools_fs()->can_use_premium_code() ) {
        // Pro is active on this site.
    }
} );
```
```

--------------------------------

### Force Load WP-CLI Hooks for MCP Adapter

Source: https://emcptools.com/docs/troubleshooting/session-errors

If the MCP Adapter plugin is active but its WP-CLI commands are not recognized, this command can help by forcing the `cli_init` action, which registers the adapter.

```bash
wp eval 'do_action( "cli_init" );' --path=/path/to/wordpress
wp mcp-adapter list --path=/path/to/wordpress
```

--------------------------------

### emcp-tools/update-settings

Source: https://emcptools.com/docs/tools/wordpress-settings

```APIDOC
## `emcp-tools/update-settings`
### Returns
`{ updated: [...], skipped: [{ key, reason }] }`.
### Capability
`manage_options`.
```

--------------------------------

### Typical AI Editing Flow

Source: https://emcptools.com/docs/tools/query-discovery

Illustrates a common workflow for AI-driven content editing, emphasizing a read-then-write pattern to maintain existing content integrity. This sequence ensures analysis precedes modification.

```text
1. list-pages          → find the target page
2. get-page-structure  → understand existing layout
3. get-element-settings → inspect a specific element you want to modify
4. update-widget       → apply changes
```

### Low-tools mode logic

Source: https://emcptools.com/docs/advanced/low-tools-mode

This pseudocode illustrates the logic for determining effective disabled tools when low-tool mode is active. It combines stored disabled tools with tools not present in the essentials list.

```pseudocode
effective_disabled = stored_disabled ∪ (all_tools − essentials_list)
                                     when low_tool_mode is on
```

Batch-updates allowlisted WordPress settings. Partial failures are reported in `skipped[]` while other settings are updated.

```bash
update-settings { "settings": { "posts_per_page": 12, "blog_public": 1 } }
```

Illustrates the data flow when an AI client interacts with an MCP server like EMCP Tools to manipulate WordPress and Elementor.

```text
You → AI client → MCP server (EMCP Tools) → Elementor → WordPress
        ↑              ↓
