### Usage example for lfm function

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md

Shows how to call the lfm function with an id, type, and prefix option. The first parameter is the id, the second is the type of laravel filemanager.

```javascript
var route_prefix = "url-to-filemanager";
lfm('lfm', 'image', {prefix: route_prefix});
lfm('lfm2', 'file', {prefix: route_prefix});
```

--------------------------------

### CKEditor integration: base setup with filebrowser options

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md

Sets up a textarea and loads CKEditor 4.6.2 from CDN. The options object configures the file browser and upload URLs for images and files, using Laravel's csrf_token().

```html
<textarea id="my-editor-1" name="content" class="form-control my-editor">{!! old('content', 'test editor content') !!}</textarea>
<script src="//cdn.ckeditor.com/4.6.2/standard/ckeditor.js"></script>
<script>
  var options = {
    filebrowserImageBrowseUrl: '/laravel-filemanager?type=Images',
    filebrowserImageUploadUrl: '/laravel-filemanager/upload?type=Images&_token={{csrf_token()}}',
    filebrowserBrowseUrl: '/laravel-filemanager?type=Files',
    filebrowserUploadUrl: '/laravel-filemanager/upload?type=Files&_token={{csrf_token()}}'
  };
</script>
```

--------------------------------

### Convert uploads to WebP with quality 80

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/config.md

Example configuration to convert uploaded PNG and JPEG images to WebP format. Uploading a .png or .jpg results in a stored .webp file, with the 'quality' setting applied to the WebP output.

```php
'optimize_uploaded_images' => [
    'enabled' => true,
    'format' => 'webp',
    'quality' => 80,
    'mimetypes' => ['image/png', 'image/jpeg', 'image/pjpeg'],
],
```

--------------------------------

### Initialize filemanager with type (image or file)

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md

Initializes the filemanager on the button using jQuery. The type parameter is required. The second example shows the 'file' type alternative.

```javascript
$('#lfm').filemanager('image');
```

```javascript
$('#lfm').filemanager('file');
```

--------------------------------

### Optimize JPEG: keep format, resize, lower quality

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/config.md

Example configuration to keep the JPEG format, resize large uploads to fit within 1600x1600, and use a lower quality setting of 75. Uploading a large .jpg will keep the .jpg extension, scale down dimensions, and re-encode with the specified quality.

```php
'optimize_uploaded_images' => [
    'enabled' => true,
    'format' => null,
    'quality' => 75,
    'max_width' => 1600,
    'max_height' => 1600,
    'progressive' => true,
],
```

--------------------------------

### UploadListener subscriber

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/events.md

This subscriber listens to all events and dispatches them to methods named 'on' followed by the event class name. It includes example handlers for image upload, rename, delete, and folder rename events.

```php
public function subscribe($events)
{
    $events->listen('*', UploadListener::class);
}
public function handle($event)
{
    $method = 'on'.class_basename($event);
    if (method_exists($this, $method)) {
        call_user_func([$this, $method], $event);
    }
}
public function onImageWasUploaded(ImageWasUploaded $event)
{
    $path = $event->path();
    // your code, for example resizing and cropping
}
public function onImageWasRenamed(ImageWasRenamed $event)
{
    // image was renamed
}
public function onImageWasDeleted(ImageWasDeleted $event)
{
    // image was deleted
}
public function onFolderWasRenamed(FolderWasRenamed $event)
{
    // folder was renamed
}
```

--------------------------------

### TinyMCE file browser URL setup

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/customization.md

Configure TinyMCE to use the Laravel File Manager. The code sets the cmsURL with the field name and language, then appends the type parameter based on the selected type.

```javascript
...
var cmsURL = editor_config.path_absolute + 'your-custom-route?field_name='+field_name+'&lang='+ tinymce.settings.language;
if (type == 'image') {
  cmsURL = cmsURL + "&type=Images";
} else {
  cmsURL = cmsURL + "&type=Files";
}
...
```

--------------------------------

### Re-encode PNG without format conversion, quality 30

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/config.md

Example configuration to re-encode PNG uploads without format conversion. Uploading a .png keeps the .png extension. The 'quality' setting does not affect the code path because PNG uses driver default encode options.

```php
'optimize_uploaded_images' => [
    'enabled' => true,
    'format' => 'png',
    'quality' => 30,
],
```

### Summernote Integration with Laravel File Manager

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md

This snippet shows the complete HTML and JavaScript setup for integrating Summernote with Laravel File Manager. It includes the required Bootstrap and jQuery dependencies, the textarea element, and the JavaScript configuration that adds a custom button to the Summernote toolbar for inserting images via the file manager. The code defines a function to open the file manager window and a button that invokes it, then initializes Summernote with the custom button in the toolbar.

```html
<!-- dependencies (Summernote depends on Bootstrap & jQuery) -->
<link href="http://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/css/bootstrap.css" rel="stylesheet">
<script src="http://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.4/jquery.js"></script>
<script src="http://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/js/bootstrap.js"></script>
<link href="http://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/summernote/0.8.3/summernote.css" rel="stylesheet">
<script src="http://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/summernote/0.8.3/summernote.js"></script>
<!-- markup -->
<textarea id="summernote-editor" name="content">{!! old('content', $content) !!}</textarea>
<!-- summernote config -->
<script>
  $(document).ready(function(){
    // Define function to open filemanager window
    var lfm = function(options, cb) {
      var route_prefix = (options && options.prefix) ? options.prefix : '/laravel-filemanager';
      window.open(route_prefix + '?type=' + options.type || 'file', 'FileManager', 'width=900,height=600');
      window.SetUrl = cb;
    };
    // Define LFM summernote button
    var LFMButton = function(context) {
      var ui = $.summernote.ui;
      var button = ui.button({
        contents: '<i class="note-icon-picture"></i> ',
        tooltip: 'Insert image with filemanager',
        click: function() {
          lfm({type: 'image', prefix: '/laravel-filemanager'}, function(lfmItems, path) {
            lfmItems.forEach(function (lfmItem) {
              context.invoke('insertImage', lfmItem.url);
            });
          });
        }
      });
      return button.render();
    };
    // Initialize summernote with LFM button in the popover button group
    // Please note that you can add this button to any other button group you'd like
    $('#summernote-editor').summernote({
      toolbar: [
        ['popovers', ['lfm']],
      ],
      buttons: {
        lfm: LFMButton
      }
    })
  });
</script>
```

--------------------------------

### Publish Config and Assets

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/installation.md

Publishes the package's configuration and public assets.

```bash
php artisan vendor:publish --tag=lfm_config
```

--------------------------------

### Enable mbstring and exif extensions in php.ini

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/wiki/Enabling-exif-extension-for-PHP.

Uncomment these two lines in php.ini on Windows to enable the mbstring and exif extensions. The order matters: mbstring must be loaded before exif because exif depends on it.

```ini
extension=php_mbstring.dll
extension=php_exif.dll
```

--------------------------------

### Import stand-alone-button.js

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md

```
--------------------------------
### Create Storage Symbolic Link
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/installation.md
Creates the symbolic link for the storage directory.
```bash
php artisan storage:link
```
--------------------------------
### Specify domain prefix for filemanager
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md
Shows how to set a custom route prefix. The prefix is optional but required when developing on Windows machines.
```javascript
var route_prefix = "url-to-filemanager";
$('#lfm').filemanager('image', {prefix: route_prefix});
```
--------------------------------
### Publish translations
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/customization.md
### TinyMCE5 integration with file_picker_callback
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md
Loads TinyMCE5, defines a textarea, and initializes TinyMCE with a file_picker_callback that opens the Laravel Filemanager in a modal window. The callback receives the selected file URL.
```html
<script src="/path-to-your-tinymce/tinymce.min.js"></script>
<textarea name="content" class="form-control my-editor">{!! old('content', $content) !!}</textarea>
<script>
  var editor_config = {
    path_absolute : "/",
    selector: 'textarea.my-editor',
    relative_urls: false,
    plugins: [
      "advlist autolink lists link image charmap print preview hr anchor pagebreak",
      "searchreplace wordcount visualblocks visualchars code fullscreen",
      "insertdatetime media nonbreaking save table directionality",
      "emoticons template paste textpattern"
    ],
    toolbar: "insertfile undo redo | styleselect | bold italic | alignleft aligncenter alignright alignjustify | bullist numlist outdent indent | link image media",
    file_picker_callback : function(callback, value, meta) {
      var x = window.innerWidth || document.documentElement.clientWidth || document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].clientWidth;
      var y = window.innerHeight|| document.documentElement.clientHeight|| document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].clientHeight;

      var cmsURL = editor_config.path_absolute + 'laravel-filemanager?editor=' + meta.fieldname;
      if (meta.filetype == 'image') {
        cmsURL = cmsURL + "&type=Images";
      } else {
        cmsURL = cmsURL + "&type=Files";
      }

      tinyMCE.activeEditor.windowManager.openUrl({
        url : cmsURL,
        title : 'Filemanager',
        width : x * 0.8,
        height : y * 0.8,
        resizable : "yes",
        close_previous : "no",
        onMessage: (api, message) => {
          callback(message.content);
        }
      });
    }
  };

  tinymce.init(editor_config);
</script>
```
--------------------------------
### Default optimize_uploaded_images configuration
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/config.md
Default configuration for the 'optimize_uploaded_images' option. When 'enabled' is true, supported uploaded images are re-encoded after a successful upload. The 'format' is null by default, keeping the original format. 'quality' is used for lossy outputs (jpg, webp, avif) and is clamped to 0-100, with non-numeric values falling back to 85. 'progressive' affects only JPEG output. If the GD driver lacks the required encoder for webp or avif, the upload is kept unchanged and the reason is logged. GIF uploads are not included by default because re-encoding animated GIFs can change animation behavior.
```php
'optimize_uploaded_images' => [
    'enabled' => false,
    'format' => null,
    'quality' => 85,
    'max_width' => null,
    'max_height' => null,
    'progressive' => true,
    'keep_original_when_larger' => true,
    'mimetypes' => [
        'image/jpeg',
        'image/pjpeg',
        'image/png',
        'image/webp',
        'image/avif',
        'image/bmp',
        'image/tiff',
        'image/jp2',
        'image/heic',
    ],
],
```
--------------------------------
### Clear Route and Config Cache
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/installation.md
Optional commands to clear the route and config caches.
```bash
php artisan route:clear
php artisan config:clear
```
--------------------------------
### file_type_array configuration array
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/config.md
Configuration array for the file_type_array option. Maps file extensions to descriptive labels. Default value shown.
```php
'file_type_array' => [
    'pdf'  => 'Adobe Acrobat',
    'doc'  => 'Microsoft Word',
    'docx' => 'Microsoft Word',
    'xls'  => 'Microsoft Excel',
    'xlsx' => 'Microsoft Excel',
    'zip'  => 'Archive',
    'gif'  => 'GIF Image',
    'jpg'  => 'JPEG Image',
    'jpeg' => 'JPEG Image',
    'png'  => 'PNG Image',
    'ppt'  => 'Microsoft PowerPoint',
    'pptx' => 'Microsoft PowerPoint',
],
```
--------------------------------
### TinyMCE4 integration with file_browser_callback
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md
Loads TinyMCE4 from CDN, defines a textarea, and initializes TinyMCE with a file_browser_callback that opens the Laravel Filemanager in a popup window. The callback sets the field value.
```html
<script src="//cdn.tinymce.com/4/tinymce.min.js"></script>
<textarea name="content" class="form-control my-editor">{!! old('content', $content) !!}</textarea>
<script>
  var editor_config = {
    path_absolute : "/",
    selector: "textarea.my-editor",
    plugins: [
      "advlist autolink lists link image charmap print preview hr anchor pagebreak",
      "searchreplace wordcount visualblocks visualchars code fullscreen",
      "insertdatetime media nonbreaking save table contextmenu directionality",
      "emoticons template paste textcolor colorpicker textpattern"
    ],
    toolbar: "insertfile undo redo | styleselect | bold italic | alignleft aligncenter alignright alignjustify | bullist numlist outdent indent | link image media",
    relative_urls: false,
    file_browser_callback : function(field_name, url, type, win) {
      var x = window.innerWidth || document.documentElement.clientWidth || document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].clientWidth;
      var y = window.innerHeight|| document.documentElement.clientHeight|| document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].clientHeight;

      var cmsURL = editor_config.path_absolute + 'laravel-filemanager?field_name=' + field_name;
      if (type == 'image') {
        cmsURL = cmsURL + "&type=Images";
      } else {
        cmsURL = cmsURL + "&type=Files";
      }

      tinyMCE.activeEditor.windowManager.open({
        file : cmsURL,
        title : 'Filemanager',
        width : x * 0.8,
        height : y * 0.8,
        resizable : "yes",
        close_previous : "no"
      });
    }
  };

  tinymce.init(editor_config);
</script>
```
--------------------------------
### Debug PHP upload limits with dd(ini_get(...))
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/wiki/Home
Use this line in a view or controller to debug PHP upload limits. It prints the current values of post_max_size and upload_max_filesize from php.ini. If both show 2M, the php.ini configuration may be in the wrong location.
```php
dd(ini_get('post_max_size'), ini_get('upload_max_filesize'));
```
--------------------------------
### Standalone button HTML structure
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md
Creates a button, input, and preview holder. The button's data-input and data-preview attributes link to the input and preview elements.
```html
<div class="input-group">
  <span class="input-group-btn">
    <a id="lfm" data-input="thumbnail" data-preview="holder" class="btn btn-primary">
      <i class="fa fa-picture-o"></i> Choose
    </a>
  </span>
  <input id="thumbnail" class="form-control" type="text" name="filepath">
</div>
<div id="holder" style="margin-top:15px;max-height:100px;"></div>
```
--------------------------------
### Default folder_categories configuration
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/config.md
The default configuration for the 'folder_categories' array, defining 'file' and 'image' categories with their folder names, startup views, max sizes, and valid MIME types. This is the default value for the 'folder_categories' config key.
```php
'folder_categories' => [
    'file'  => [
        'folder_name'  => 'files',
        'startup_view' => 'list',
        'max_size'     => 50000, // size in KB
        'valid_mime'   => [
            'image/jpeg',
            'image/pjpeg',
            'image/png',
            'image/gif',
            'application/pdf',
            'text/plain',
        ],
    ],
    'image' => [
        'folder_name'  => 'photos',
        'startup_view' => 'grid',
        'max_size'     => 50000, // size in KB
        'valid_mime'   => [
            'image/jpeg',
            'image/pjpeg',
            'image/png',
            'image/gif',
        ],
    ],
],
```
--------------------------------
### Configure paginator perPage
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/config.md
Configuration array for the 'paginator' option. Sets the number of items to display per page.
```php
'paginator' => [
    'perPage' => 30,
],
```
--------------------------------
### EventServiceProvider listener registration
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/events.md
Add this to the $listen property in your EventServiceProvider to register a listener for the ImageWasUploaded event.
```php
protected $listen = [
    ImageWasUploaded::class => [
        UploadListener::class,
    ],
];
```
--------------------------------
### UploadListener class
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/events.md
This listener handles the ImageWasUploaded event. It uses a dynamic method naming convention to call methods like onImageWasUploaded, onImageWasRenamed, etc., based on the event class name.
```php
class UploadListener
{
    public function handle($event)
    {
        $method = 'on'.class_basename($event);
        if (method_exists($this, $method)) {
            call_user_func([$this, $method], $event);
        }
    }

    public function onImageWasUploaded(ImageWasUploaded $event)
    {
        $path = $event->path();
        // your code, for example resizing and cropping
    }

    public function onImageWasRenamed(ImageWasRenamed $event)
    {
        // image was renamed
    }

    public function onImageWasDeleted(ImageWasDeleted $event)
    {
        // image was deleted
    }

    public function onFolderWasRenamed(FolderWasRenamed $event)
    {
        // folder was renamed
    }
}
```
--------------------------------
### Implementing HasUploadedImageListener for Watermarking
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/wiki/Inserting-watermark-with-event-listeners.
This listener handles the ImageWasUploaded event by retrieving the image path, opening the image with Intervention Image, inserting a watermark, and saving the modified file.
```php
class HasUploadedImageListener
{
    /**
     * Handle the event.
     *
     * @param  ImageWasUploaded  $event
     * @return void
     */
    public function handle(ImageWasUploaded $event)
    {
        // Grab the uploaded file's path
        $imagePath = $event->path();

        // Open the image file
        $img = Image::make($imagePath);

        // Insert the watermark
        $img->insert('public/watermark.png');

        // Save the image
        $img->save($imagePath);
    }
}
```
--------------------------------
### JavaScript integration function (no jQuery)
Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md
Defines a reusable lfm function that opens the filemanager popup, handles the selected files, updates the target input and preview, and dispatches change events. It does not rely on jQuery.
```javascript
var lfm = function(id, type, options) {
  let button = document.getElementById(id);

  button.addEventListener('click', function () {
    var route_prefix = (options && options.prefix) ? options.prefix : '/laravel-filemanager';
    var target_input = document.getElementById(button.getAttribute('data-input'));
    var target_preview = document.getElementById(button.getAttribute('data-preview'));

    window.open(route_prefix + '?type=' + options.type || 'file', 'FileManager', 'width=900,height=600');
    window.SetUrl = function (items) {
      var file_path = items.map(function (item) {
        return item.url;
      }).join(',');

      // set the value of the desired input to image url
      target_input.value = file_path;
      target_input.dispatchEvent(new Event('change'));

      // clear previous preview
      target_preview.innerHtml = '';

      // set or change the preview image src
      items.forEach(function (item) {
        let img = document.createElement('img')
        img.setAttribute('style', 'height: 5rem')
        img.setAttribute('src', item.thumb_url)
        target_preview.appendChild(img);
      });

      // trigger change event
      target_preview.dispatchEvent(new Event('change'));
    };
  });

```html
<script src="//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="/vendor/unisharp/laravel-ckeditor/adapters/jquery.js"></script>
<script>
'raster_mimetypes' => [
    'image/jpeg',
    'image/pjpeg',
],
```

### Route group for Laravel File Manager

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/customization.md

Add this route group to routes/web.php to wrap the package routes with the 'web' and 'auth' middleware. The 'auth' middleware prevents unauthorized uploads and supports multi-user mode.

```php
Route::group(['prefix' => 'laravel-filemanager', 'middleware' => ['web', 'auth']], function () {
    \UniSharp\LaravelFilemanager\Lfm::routes();
});
```

### EventServiceProvider subscriber registration

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/events.md

Add this to the $subscribe property in your EventServiceProvider to register an event subscriber.

```php
protected $subscribe = [
    UploadListener::class
];
```

--------------------------------

### php_ini_overrides configuration array

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/config.md

Configuration array for the php_ini_overrides option. Overrides php.ini settings before uploading files. Set to false to ignore and apply your php.ini settings. Note: these overrides are applied on every request and reset after script execution; settings like upload_max_filesize and post_max_size will not work because files are already passed to the script before changes.

```php
'php_ini_overrides' => [
    'memory_limit' => '256M',
],
```

### Protect Laravel-Filemanager routes with auth middleware

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/security.md

Wrap the Laravel-Filemanager routes in a group with the 'auth' middleware to ensure only logged-in users can access them. This is necessary when using your own routes to prevent unauthorized uploads. Modify the middleware as needed for your security approach.

```php
Route::group(['middleware' => 'auth'], function () { // auth middleware is important!
    \UniSharp\LaravelFilemanager\Lfm::routes();
});
```

### CKEditor file browser URLs

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/customization.md

Configure CKEditor to use the Laravel File Manager routes. Replace '/your-custom-route' with your actual route and include the type parameter 'Images' or 'Files'.

```javascript
CKEDITOR.replace('editor', {
  filebrowserImageBrowseUrl: '/your-custom-route?type=Images',
  filebrowserBrowseUrl: '/your-custom-route?type=Files'
});
```

### Embed file manager in an iframe

Source: https://github.com/unisharp/laravel-filemanager/blob/master/docs/integration.md

Use this HTML iframe to embed the Laravel File Manager into your page. The iframe loads /laravel-filemanager and is styled to fill the container with no border.

```html
<iframe src="/laravel-filemanager" style="width: 100%; height: 500px; overflow: hidden; border: none;"></iframe>
