  -e CLOAK_PLAYWRIGHT_MCP_HUMANIZE=true \
  -e CLOAK_PLAYWRIGHT_MCP_HUMAN_PRESET=careful \
  -v "$PWD/artifacts:/data" \
  swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp:latest \
  --transport streamable-http --http-host 0.0.0.0 --http-port 3000
```
--------------------------------
### Streamable HTTP session metadata enabling CDP
Source: https://github.com/swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp/blob/main/docs/configuration.zh.md
Authenticated flat cdpEnabled boolean in initialize metadata overrides the process default for that session. This example explicitly opts in a session.
```json
{
  "params": {
    "_meta": {
      "io.github.swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp": {
        "cdpEnabled": true
      }
    }
  }
}
```
--------------------------------
### Target Architecture Process Hierarchy
Source: https://github.com/swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp/blob/main/docs/specs/docker-headed-mode/tasks/plan.md
Visual representation of the container process tree starting with Tini as PID 1, followed by the launcher and Xvfb.
```text
container PID 1: tini -s -- node dist/docker/launcher.js <original CLI args>
                           |
                           +-- CLI (inherited fd 0/1/2, private IPC fd)
                           |     |
                           | +-- existing stdio or Streamable HTTP bridge
                           |
                           +-- Xvfb (only after effective headed demand)

Docker HEALTHCHECK
  -> owner-only Unix socket in launcher
     -> fresh CLI event-loop ping over private IPC
     -> fresh X11 setup handshake only when launcher state is not never-started
```
--------------------------------
### Run npm package doctor check
Source: https://github.com/swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp/blob/main/docs/recipes/ci-smoke-test.md
Verifies Node.js, package metadata, Playwright dependencies, and CloakBrowser binary metadata without starting the bridge.
```bash

Source: https://github.com/swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp/blob/main/docs/tools.md

TypeScript example using Playwright's chromium.connectOverCDP() to connect to the discovery URL. Note: this is CDP, not Playwright Server protocol; chromium.connect() and PLAYWRIGHT_WS_URL are incompatible.

```ts
import { chromium } from 'playwright';
const browser = await chromium.connectOverCDP(discoveryUrl);
```

--------------------------------

### Initialize request with CloakBrowser MCP runtime metadata

Source: https://github.com/swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp/blob/main/docs/configuration.md

Include this JSON in the initialize request to set per-session runtime options. The metadata key is io.github.swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp. proxyServer overrides PLAYWRIGHT_MCP_PROXY_SERVER; proxyBypass overrides PLAYWRIGHT_MCP_PROXY_BYPASS only when proxyServer is present. headless false in Docker starts a container-private virtual display. extensionPaths require a persistent userDataDir.

```json
{
  "params": {
    "_meta": {
      "io.github.swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp": {
        "proxyServer": "http://user:pass@proxy.example:8080",
        "proxyBypass": ".internal,localhost",
        "geoipProxyMatch": true,
        "headless": false,
        "extensionMode": false,
        "profileDirName": "Profile 1",
        "humanize": true,
        "humanPreset": "careful",
        "userDataDir": "/absolute/path/to/profile",
        "contextOptions": {
          "viewport": { "width": 1280, "height": 720 },
          "locale": "en-US",
          "timezoneId": "America/New_York"
        },
        "extensionPaths": ["/absolute/path/to/extension"]
      }
    }
  }
}
```

--------------------------------

### Connect Codex CLI to Streamable HTTP server

```
--------------------------------
### Streamable HTTP session metadata disabling CDP
Source: https://github.com/swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp/blob/main/docs/configuration.zh.md
Authenticated flat cdpEnabled boolean in initialize metadata overrides the process default for that session. This example explicitly opts out a session.
```json
{
  "params": {
    "_meta": {
      "io.github.swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp": {
        "cdpEnabled": false
      }
    }
  }
}
```
--------------------------------
### Build and Smoke Test Commands
Source: https://github.com/swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp/blob/main/docs/docker.md
npm commands to build the Docker image and run a smoke test. The Dockerfile uses the pinned official Playwright MCP image as the runtime base, applies Debian security updates, removes the unused global npm payload, and installs the bridge under /opt/cloakbrowser-mcp.
```bash
npm run docker:build
npm run docker:smoke
```
--------------------------------
### Run e2e test suites
Source: https://github.com/swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp/blob/main/docs/testing.md
Commands to run the various e2e test suites. test:e2e combines fake-upstream CLI checks with real Playwright Chromium console checks. test:e2e:playwright-console verifies console methods across clean browser sessions. test:e2e:cdp verifies managed CDP access with Free CloakBrowser and controlled Playwright Chromium. test:e2e:npm-package packs and installs the package into a temporary project. test:e2e:docker and test:e2e:cdp:docker cover Docker distribution and CDP acceptance.
```bash
npm run test:e2e
npm run test:e2e:playwright-console
npm run test:e2e:cdp
npm run test:e2e:npm-package
npm run test:e2e:docker
