GitFlow AVH Edition implements the GitFlow branching model with commands for managing feature branches, releases, and hotfixes. It requires the gitflow-avh package to be installed.

```bash
# Initialize gitflow in a repository
$ git flow init
Which branch should be used for bringing forth production releases?
   - changelog
   - master
Branch name for production releases: [master]
# Start a new feature branch
$ git flow feature start awesome-feature
Switched to a new branch 'feature/awesome-feature'
# Finish and merge a feature
$ git flow feature finish awesome-feature
Switched to branch 'develop'
Merge made by the 'recursive' strategy.
Deleted branch feature/awesome-feature
# Publish feature to remote
$ git flow feature publish awesome-feature
# Start a release branch
$ git flow release start 1.0.0
Switched to a new branch 'release/1.0.0'
# Finish release (merges to main and develop, tags)
$ git flow release finish 1.0.0
# Start an emergency hotfix
$ git flow hotfix start critical-bug
