### Build Hyperledger Fabric Tools (cryptogen, configtxgen)

Source: https://github.com/steakliu/blockchain-trace-fabric/blob/master/install-fabric-env/install.md

Instructions to compile and generate the cryptogen and configtxgen binaries from the Hyperledger Fabric source code. These tools are crucial for network setup, enabling the creation of cryptographic identities and configuration transactions. Users might encounter Go path-related issues on CentOS, but it typically works on Ubuntu.

```bash
make cryptogen
make configtxgen
```

--------------------------------

### Generate Hyperledger Fabric Certificates with cryptogen

Source: https://github.com/steakliu/blockchain-trace-fabric/blob/master/install-fabric-env/install.md

Steps to create the necessary cryptographic certificates and keys for organizations, peers, and orderers within the Hyperledger Fabric network. This process involves defining network structure in a crypto-config.yaml file and executing the cryptogen tool, which outputs all generated materials into a 'crypto-config' directory.

```bash
cryptogen generate --config=./crypto-config.yaml
```

```bash
./cryptogen generate --config=./crypto-config.yaml
```

--------------------------------

### Generate Hyperledger Fabric Genesis Block with configtxgen

Source: https://github.com/steakliu/blockchain-trace-fabric/blob/master/install-fabric-env/install.md

Procedure to create the genesis block, which serves as the initial block for the orderer service's blockchain. This step requires referencing a predefined profile (e.g., TwoOrgsOrdererGenesis) from the configtx.yaml file. The output, 'genesis.block', will be placed in the 'channel-artifacts' directory.

```bash
configtxgen -profile TwoOrgsOrdererGenesis -outputBlock ./channel-artifacts/genesis.block
```

--------------------------------

### Create Hyperledger Fabric Channel with configtxgen

Source: https://github.com/steakliu/blockchain-trace-fabric/blob/master/install-fabric-env/install.md

Steps to define and generate the transaction file for a new communication channel within the Hyperledger Fabric network. This involves setting an environment variable for the channel name and using configtxgen with a specific profile (e.g., OneOrgsChannel) from configtx.yaml. The resulting 'channel.tx' file will be stored in the 'channel-artifacts' directory.

```bash
export CHANNEL_NAME=certchannel
./configtxgen -profile OneOrgsChannel -outputCreateChannelTx ./channel-artifacts/channel.tx -channelID $CHANNEL_NAME
```

--------------------------------

### Reinstalling Fabric Client Dependency

Source: https://github.com/steakliu/blockchain-trace-fabric/blob/master/install-fabric-env/problems.md

If clearing the key store and re-running registration does not resolve the issue, try reinstalling the `fabric-client` npm package to ensure all dependencies are correctly installed and up-to-date.

```Shell
npm install fabric-client
```

--------------------------------

### Resetting Fabric Key Store and Re-running User Registration

Source: https://github.com/steakliu/blockchain-trace-fabric/blob/master/install-fabric-env/problems.md

If `node registerUser.js` fails, clear the `hfc-key-store` directory to remove old credentials. Then, re-run `node enrollAdmin.js` to re-enroll the administrator, followed by `node registerUser.js` to register the user again.

```Shell
rm -rf hfc-key-store/*
node enrollAdmin.js
node registerUser.js
```
