### INWX provider dnsconfig.js example

Source: https://github.com/dnscontrol/dnscontrol/blob/main/documentation/provider/inwx.md

Example dnsconfig.js configuration for a domain registered with INWX and delegated to Cloudflare. Uses NewRegistrar("inwx") and NewDnsProvider("cloudflare") to set up the domain with an A record.

```javascript
var REG_INWX = NewRegistrar("inwx");
var DSP_CF = NewDnsProvider("cloudflare");
D("example.com", REG_INWX, DnsProvider(DSP_CF),
    A("test", "1.2.3.4"),
);
### Convert provider records with dnscontrol get-zones
Source: https://github.com/dnscontrol/dnscontrol/blob/main/documentation/getting-started/migrating.md
Reads DNS records from a provider (here ROUTE53) using the credentials named `global_aws` in `creds.json`. The first command prints to stdout; the second writes to `draft.js`. Requires a `creds.json` file as described in Getting Started.
```shell
dnscontrol get-zones --format=js global_aws ROUTE53 example.com
dnscontrol get-zones --format=js --out=draft.js global_aws ROUTE53 example.com
```
### init: Configure TransIP with ACCOUNT name and PEM private key
Source: https://github.com/dnscontrol/dnscontrol/blob/main/documentation/commands/init.md
Shows the interactive flow for setting up TransIP as the DNS provider. After selecting TRANSIP, the user chooses the account name + private key method, enters the account name, and is prompted to launch $EDITOR to paste the full PEM block (including BEGIN/END lines). Ensure $EDITOR is set beforehand, e.g. export EDITOR=nano.
```shell
$ dnscontrol init

A DNS provider hosts the records (A, MX, TXT, CNAME, and so on) for your zones.
Pick NONE if you want to defer this choice.
? Which DNS service provider do you want to configure? TRANSIP

### AKAMAITLC example in dnsconfig.js

Source: https://github.com/dnscontrol/dnscontrol/blob/main/documentation/language-reference/domain-modifiers/AKAMAITLC.md

Use AKAMAITLC to create a Top-Level CNAME record at the zone apex. The example redirects example.com to google.com, returning both A and AAAA records. Note that AKAMAITLC can only be used at the apex, is limited to one per zone, and cannot coexist with an AKAMAICDN record.

```javascript
D("example.com", REG_MY_PROVIDER, DnsProvider(DSP_MY_PROVIDER),
    // Redirect example.com to google.com, returning both A and AAAA records
    AKAMAITLC("@", "DUAL", "google.com."),
);
```

### Create a models.DomainConfig (Recommended)

Source: https://github.com/dnscontrol/dnscontrol/blob/main/documentation/developer-info/cookbook.md

Use this recommended approach to create a models.DomainConfig and add RecordConfigs for testing. It uses NewDomainConfig, AddTestRC, AddTestRCParse, and MustNewRecordConfig methods.

```go
dc, err := models.NewDomainConfig(zone)
dc.AddTestRC(t, label, ttl, type, arg, arg1, arg2, ...)
dc.AddTestRCParse(t, label, ttl, type, arg)
fmt.Printf("Count: %d", len(dc.Records))
// Make individual RCs:
rc1 := dc.MustNewRecordConfig(label, ttl, type, arg, arg1, arg2, ...)
rc2 := dc.MustNewRecordConfigParse(label, ttl, type, arg)
```

### Run golangci-lint and staticcheck

Source: https://github.com/dnscontrol/dnscontrol/blob/main/documentation/advanced-features/writing-providers.md

Run golangci-lint and staticcheck to catch linting and static analysis issues. Requires golangci-lint to be installed.

```shell
golangci-lint run ./...
staticcheck ./...
```

--------------------------------

### Create TXT record configs

Source: https://github.com/dnscontrol/dnscontrol/blob/main/documentation/developer-info/cookbook.md

Creates TXT record configs from scratch. NewRecordConfig takes raw bytes, while NewRecordConfigParse parses a zonefile-style quoted string. Use these constructors to create TXT records with proper segmentation.

```go
rc1, err := dc.NewRecordConfig(LABEL, TTL, dnsv2.TypeTXT, "raw bytes")
rc2, err := dc.NewRecordConfigParse(LABEL, TTL, dnsv2.TypeTXT, `"quoted" "like" "from" "zonefile"`)
```
