### Install Azure AI SDKs

Source: https://microsoft.github.io/skills/llms-full.txt

Install the required Azure AI SDK packages using pip. This includes azure-ai-projects, azure-ai-agents, and azure-identity.

```bash
pip install azure-ai-projects azure-ai-agents azure-identity
```

--------------------------------

### Authenticate with DefaultAzureCredential

Source: https://microsoft.github.io/skills/llms-full.txt

Create an AIProjectClient using DefaultAzureCredential and the project endpoint. Replace the endpoint placeholder with your actual resource and project names.

```python
from azure.identity import DefaultAzureCredential
from azure.ai.projects import AIProjectClient
credential = DefaultAzureCredential()
client = AIProjectClient(
    endpoint="https://<resource>.services.ai.azure.com/api/projects/<project>",
    credential=credential
)
```

--------------------------------

### Set environment variables

Source: https://microsoft.github.io/skills/llms-full.txt

Set the required environment variables for the AI project endpoint and model deployment name. These are used by the SDK to connect to your Azure AI resources.

```bash
AZURE_AI_PROJECT_ENDPOINT=https://<resource>.services.ai.azure.com/api/projects/<project>
AZURE_AI_MODEL_DEPLOYMENT_NAME=gpt-4o-mini
```
