### Install via Composer

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/README.md

Install the package using Composer. Run this command in your project root.

```bash
composer require abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs
```

--------------------------------

### Usage example for locale() and getLocale()

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tab.md

Shows creating a TranslatableTab with locale 'ar' and reading it back via getLocale().

```php
$tab = TranslatableTab::make('العربية')->locale('ar');
$tab->getLocale(); // 'ar'
```

--------------------------------

### Service Provider $name Property

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/service-provider-and-macro.md

Defines the package identifier used by spatie/laravel-package-tools for the package name and install command.

```php
public static string $name = 'filament-translatable-tabs';
```

--------------------------------

### configurePackage Method Signature

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/service-provider-and-macro.md

Sets the package name and registers an install command that prompts the developer to star the GitHub repository. No config, migrations, views, or language files are published.

```php
public function configurePackage(Package $package): void
```

--------------------------------

### Minimal usage of translatableTabs()

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/service-provider-and-macro.md

Minimal example applying translatableTabs() to a single TextInput field with required validation and full column span.

```php
use Filament\Forms\Components\TextInput;
// Minimal — a single translatable field:
TextInput::make('title')
    ->required()
    ->translatableTabs()
    ->columnSpanFull();
```

--------------------------------

### Global configuration of TranslatableTabs in service provider

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/service-provider-and-macro.md

Global configuration example using configureUsing() in a service provider's boot() method, setting locale labels, locales, direction, empty badge, and active tab behavior. The subsequent TextInput picks up this global config.

```php
// Global configuration in any service provider's boot():
use AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs\TranslatableTabs;
TranslatableTabs::configureUsing(function (TranslatableTabs $component) {
    $component
        ->localesLabels([
            'ar' => __('locales.ar'),
            'en' => __('locales.en'),
        ])
        ->locales(['ar', 'en'])
        ->addDirectionByLocale()
        ->addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(emptyLabel: __('locales.empty'))
        ->addSetActiveTabThatHasValue();
});
TextInput::make('title')->translatableTabs(); // picks up the global config
```

--------------------------------

### Example form with translatableTabs component

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/testing-helpers.md

Shows a Filament form with a TextInput using translatableTabs(). Per-locale fields are named {name}.{locale} with state path {statePath}.{locale}.

```php
use Filament\Forms\Components\TextInput;
use Filament\Forms\Form;
$form = Form::make()
    ->schema([
        TextInput::make('title')->translatableTabs(),
    ]);
// Per-locale fields are named {name}.{locale} with state path {statePath}.{locale}:
// assert on components named e.g. 'title.en' / 'title.ar'.
```

--------------------------------

### locales usage with closure

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Example of calling locales with a closure returning an array of locale codes, then chaining schema with form fields.

```php
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->locales(fn (): array => ['ar', 'en'])
    ->schema([
        Forms\Components\TextInput::make('title'),
        Forms\Components\Textarea::make('content'),
    ]);
```

--------------------------------

### localesLabels usage with static array

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Example of calling localesLabels with a static array mapping locales to labels, then chaining locales and schema.

```php
TranslatableTabs::make('Translations')
    ->localesLabels(['ar' => 'عربي', 'en' => 'English'])
    ->locales(['ar', 'en'])
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```

--------------------------------

### modifyFieldsUsing usage example

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Example of using modifyFieldsUsing to set a placeholder on each field based on the locale. The closure receives the Field component and the locale string. The merge parameter defaults to true, appending to existing callbacks.

```php
use Filament\Forms\Components\Field;
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->modifyFieldsUsing(function (Field $component, string $locale) {
        $component->placeholder("$locale text");
    })
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```

--------------------------------

### Valid usage of TranslatableTabs with fields

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Example of valid usage where all children are Field instances. This passes validation and works correctly.

```php
// Valid: all children are fields
TranslatableTabs::make('Translations')
    ->schema([
        TextInput::make('title'),
        Textarea::make('content'),
    ]);
```

--------------------------------

### localesLabels usage with closure

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Example of calling localesLabels with a closure that returns a locale-label map using translation keys.

```php
TranslatableTabs::make('Translations')
    ->localesLabels(fn (): array => [
        'ar' => __('locales.ar'),
        'en' => __('locales.en'),
    ])
    ->locales(['en', 'ar']);
```

--------------------------------

### modifyTabsUsing usage example

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Example of using modifyTabsUsing to customize each tab's icon based on the locale. The closure receives the TranslatableTab component and the locale string. The merge parameter defaults to true, appending to existing callbacks.

```php
use AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs\TranslatableTab;
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->modifyTabsUsing(function (TranslatableTab $component, string $locale) {
        $component->icon(match ($locale) { 'ar' => 'heroicon-m-language', default => null });
    })
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```

--------------------------------

### addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty usage example

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Shows how to call the method on a TranslatableTabs component with a localized empty label and a schema containing a text input. The method registers a closure that toggles a warning badge when all fields are empty.

```php
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(emptyLabel: __('locales.empty'))
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```

--------------------------------

### Direction logic for addDirectionByLocale

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Derives direction from locale code: any code starting with 'ar' gets rtl, everything else gets ltr. Sets the direction style via extraAttributes.

```php
$dir = str($locale)->startsWith('ar') ? 'rtl' : 'ltr';
$component->extraAttributes(['style' => "direction: $dir;"], true);
```

--------------------------------

### addSetActiveTabThatHasValue usage example

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Shows how to call the method on a TranslatableTabs component with a schema containing a text input. The method selects the first tab with a value or falls back to the first tab.

```php
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->addSetActiveTabThatHasValue()
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```

--------------------------------

### addDirectionByLocale(): static

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Registers a modifyFieldsUsing closure that sets an inline direction style on every per-locale field. Direction is derived from the locale code: any code starting with 'ar' gets 'rtl', everything else gets 'ltr'. Returns static for chaining.

```APIDOC
## addDirectionByLocale(): static
### Description
Registers a `modifyFieldsUsing` closure that sets an inline `direction` style on every per-locale field. Direction is derived from the locale code: any code starting with `"ar"` gets `rtl`, everything else gets `ltr`. Returns `static` for chaining.
### Method
`addDirectionByLocale`
### Parameters
None.
### Return
- **static** - The component instance for chaining.
### Usage Example
```php
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->addDirectionByLocale()
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```
### Notes
- Locales such as `ar`, `ar_SA`, `ar-DZ` are right-to-left; `en`, `fr`, `es` are left-to-right.
- Can be combined with other pre-made configs.
```

--------------------------------

### FilamentTranslatableTabsServiceProvider class declaration

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/service-provider-and-macro.md

Defines the package service provider that registers the 'translatableTabs' macro on Filament's Field component. The macro creates a TranslatableTabs component with optional locale, tab modification, and field modification closures. The provider also configures an install command that prompts to star the GitHub repository.

```php
<?php
namespace AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs;
use Closure;
use Filament\Forms\Components\Field;
use Spatie\LaravelPackageTools\Commands\InstallCommand;
use Spatie\LaravelPackageTools\Package;
use Spatie\LaravelPackageTools\PackageServiceProvider;
class FilamentTranslatableTabsServiceProvider extends PackageServiceProvider
{
    public static string $name = 'filament-translatable-tabs';
    public function configurePackage(Package $package): void
    {
        $package->name(static::$name)
            ->hasInstallCommand(function (InstallCommand $command) {
                $command
                    ->askToStarRepoOnGitHub('abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs');
            });
    }
    public function packageBooted(): void
    {
        Field::macro('translatableTabs', function (
            Closure | array | null $locales = null,
            ?Closure $modifyTabsUsing = null,
            ?Closure $modifyFieldsUsing = null
        ) {
            /** @phpstan-ignore-next-line  */
            return TranslatableTabs::make($this->getLabel())
                ->when(! is_null($locales), fn (TranslatableTabs $tabs) => $tabs->locales($locales))
                ->when(! is_null($modifyTabsUsing), fn (TranslatableTabs $tabs) => $tabs->modifyTabsUsing($modifyTabsUsing))
                ->when(! is_null($modifyFieldsUsing), fn (TranslatableTabs $tabs) => $tabs->modifyFieldsUsing($modifyFieldsUsing))
                ->schema([$this]);
        });
    }
}
```

--------------------------------

### Invalid usage of TranslatableTabs with Section

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Example of invalid usage where a Section is used as a child component. This throws a RuntimeException at render time because only Field instances are supported.

```php
// Invalid — throws RuntimeException at render time:
use Filament\Forms\Components\Section;
TranslatableTabs::make('Translations')
    ->schema([Section::make('meta')->schema([TextInput::make('title')])]);
```

--------------------------------

### Using getLocale() in modifyTabsUsing closure

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tab.md

Example of using getLocale() inside a modification closure to set a badge. Note: calling getLocale() on an unstamped tab raises a PHP Error.

```php
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->modifyTabsUsing(function (TranslatableTab $component, string $locale) {
        $component->badge(strtoupper($component->getLocale()));
    })
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```

--------------------------------

### Pre-made configuration for preview experience

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/README.md

Apply a pre-made configuration to match the package preview. It adds direction by locale, an empty badge when all fields are empty (with a custom label), and sets the active tab to the one that has a value.

```php
TranslatableTabs::configureUsing(function (TranslatableTabs $component) {
    $component
        ->addDirectionByLocale()
        ->addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(emptyLabel: __('locales.empty'))
        ->addSetActiveTabThatHasValue();
});
```

--------------------------------

### Configure TranslatableTabs in service provider boot()

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/README.md

Configure global locale labels and default locales in any registered service provider's boot() method. The localesLabels array maps locale codes to display labels, and locales sets the default locales.

```php
TranslatableTabs::configureUsing(function (TranslatableTabs $component) {
    $component
        // locales labels
        ->localesLabels([
            'ar' => __('locales.ar'),
            'en' => __('locales.en')
        ])
        // default locales
        ->locales(['ar', 'en']);
});
```

--------------------------------

### Macro inline parameters with translatableTabs()

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/configuration.md

Shows the Field::translatableTabs() macro with optional parameters for locales, tab customization, and field customization. Each argument maps to a fluent option when non-null; null defaults mean rely on global configuration.

```php
TextInput::make('title')
    ->translatableTabs(
        locales: fn (): array => ['ar', 'en'],
        modifyTabsUsing: $customizeTab,
        modifyFieldsUsing: $customizeField,
    );
```

--------------------------------

### Global configuration with TranslatableTabs::configureUsing

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/configuration.md

Sets global defaults for all TranslatableTabs instances via the Filament Configurable trait. Must set locales() or each instance must call it, as there is no default locale list; otherwise an uninitialized $locales property causes a PHP Error at render time.

```php
use AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs\TranslatableTabs;
public function boot(): void
{
    TranslatableTabs::configureUsing(function (TranslatableTabs $component) {
        $component
            ->localesLabels([
                'ar' => __('locales.ar'),
                'en' => __('locales.en'),
            ])
            ->locales(['ar', 'en'])
            ->addDirectionByLocale()
            ->addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(emptyLabel: __('locales.empty'))
            ->addSetActiveTabThatHasValue();
    });
}
```

--------------------------------

### Customize tabs and fields per locale

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/README.md

Define closures to customize Tab and Field components per locale. Apply them globally via configureUsing or per-field/per-component using modifyTabsUsing and modifyFieldsUsing. The closures receive the component and locale string.

```php
use AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs\TranslatableTabs;
use AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs\TranslatableTab;
use Filament\Forms\Components\Field;
$customizeTab = function (TranslatableTab $component, string $locale) {
    // ...
};
$customizeField = function (Field $component, string $locale) {
    // ...
};
// Globally in boot method
TranslatableTabs::configureUsing(function (TranslatableTabs $component) {
    $component
        ->modifyTabsUsing($customizeTab)
        ->modifyFieldsUsing($customizeField);
});
// Single Field
TextInput::make()
    ->translatableTabs()
    ->modifyTabsUsing($customizeTab)
    ->modifyFieldsUsing($customizeField)
// Multiple Fields
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->modifyTabsUsing($customizeTab)
    ->modifyFieldsUsing($customizeField)
    ->schema([
        Forms\Components\TextInput::make("title"),
        Forms\Components\Textarea::make("content")
    ]);
```

--------------------------------

### TranslatableTabs::configureUsing

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/configuration.md

Static configuration method inherited from Filament's Configurable trait. Sets global state applied to all subsequently created TranslatableTabs instances.

```APIDOC
## TranslatableTabs::configureUsing
### Description
Static configuration method inherited from Filament's Configurable trait. Sets global state applied to all subsequently created TranslatableTabs instances.
### Method
configureUsing
### Parameters
- **closure** (callable) - Required - A closure receiving a TranslatableTabs instance to configure.
### Request Example
```php
TranslatableTabs::configureUsing(function (TranslatableTabs $component) {
    $component
        ->localesLabels([
            'ar' => __('locales.ar'),
            'en' => __('locales.en'),
        ])
        ->locales(['ar', 'en'])
        ->addDirectionByLocale()
        ->addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(emptyLabel: __('locales.empty'))
        ->addSetActiveTabThatHasValue();
});
```
### Notes
- The global closure must set `locales` (or each instance must call `locales()` itself) — there is no built-in default locale list.
```

--------------------------------

### Basic usage: single field and multiple fields

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/README.md

Apply translatable tabs to a single field using the ->translatableTabs() macro, or wrap multiple fields in a TranslatableTabs component with a schema. The schema contains the fields to be displayed per locale.

```php
// Single Field
TextInput::make('title')
    ->translatableTabs();
// Multiple Fields
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->schema([
        Forms\Components\TextInput::make("title"),
        Forms\Components\Textarea::make("content")
    ]);
```

--------------------------------

### addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty method signature

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Declares the public method that adds an empty badge to tabs when all fields are empty. It accepts a string label and returns the component instance for chaining.

```php
public function addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(string $emptyLabel): static
```

--------------------------------

### addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Registers a closure that shows a warning badge on a tab when all its fields are empty. The badge displays the provided label and uses the warning color.

```APIDOC
## addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty
### Description
Registers a `modifyTabsUsing` closure that makes each tab live and toggles a warning badge. The badge shows the provided label when all fields in the tab are empty, and is hidden when any field has a value.
### Method
`addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty`
### Signature
```php
public function addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(string $emptyLabel): static
```
### Parameters
- **$emptyLabel** (string) - Required - Text shown in the tab badge while every field of that tab is empty. No default exists; omitting it is a PHP `ArgumentCountError`.
### Return
`static` — the component instance for chaining.
### Example
```php
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(emptyLabel: __('locales.empty'))
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```
```

--------------------------------

### Field::translatableTabs

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/configuration.md

Macro method on Filament fields to create a TranslatableTabs instance with optional inline parameters. Each argument maps to equivalent fluent options when non-null.

```APIDOC
## Field::translatableTabs
### Description
Macro method on Filament fields to create a TranslatableTabs instance with optional inline parameters. Each argument maps to equivalent fluent options when non-null.
### Method
translatableTabs
### Parameters
- **$locales** (array|null) - Optional - Locale list; defaults to null meaning rely on globals.
- **$modifyTabsUsing** (callable|null) - Optional - Callback to modify tabs; defaults to null meaning rely on globals.
- **$modifyFieldsUsing** (callable|null) - Optional - Callback to modify fields; defaults to null meaning rely on globals.
### Request Example
```php
TextInput::make('title')
    ->translatableTabs(
        locales: fn (): array => ['ar', 'en'],
        modifyTabsUsing: $customizeTab,
        modifyFieldsUsing: $customizeField,
    );
```
```

--------------------------------

### Guard for uninitialized locales property

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/errors.md

Shows a guard pattern for the PHP Error when `$locales` is accessed before initialization. The source notes that no such helper exists, so configuration must be tracked manually. The reliable pattern is to always call `locales(...)` before rendering.

```php
if (! $component->hasLocalesConfigured()) { /* no such helper exists — track configuration yourself */ }
```

--------------------------------

### translatableTabs() macro

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/types.md

Macro for configuring translatable tabs. Accepts a locales parameter typed as `Closure | array | null`.

```APIDOC
## translatableTabs() macro
### Description
Macro for configuring translatable tabs. Accepts a locales parameter typed as `Closure | array | null`.
### Method
translatableTabs
### Parameters
- **$locales** (Closure | array | null) - Required - Locale configuration; can be a closure, an array, or null.
```

--------------------------------

### packageBooted Method Signature

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/service-provider-and-macro.md

Registers the 'translatableTabs' macro on Filament\Forms\Components\Field, making it available on all field subclasses. Inside the macro, $this refers to the field instance.

```php
public function packageBooted(): void
```

--------------------------------

### translatableTabs() with inline locales and per-locale customization

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/service-provider-and-macro.md

Usage with inline locales as a closure and a modifyFieldsUsing closure that adds a hint per locale.

```php
// With inline locales (closure form) and per-locale customization:
TextInput::make('title')
    ->translatableTabs(
        locales: fn (): array => ['ar', 'en'],
        modifyFieldsUsing: function (Field $component, string $locale) {
            $component->hint($locale);
        },
    );
```

--------------------------------

### Class declaration for TestsFilamentTranslatableTabs

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/testing-helpers.md

Empty placeholder class with @mixin Testable annotation for Livewire testing helpers. No methods or properties are defined.

```php
<?php
namespace AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs\Testing;
use Livewire\Features\SupportTesting\Testable;
/**
 * @mixin Testable
 */
class TestsFilamentTranslatableTabs
{
    //
}
```

--------------------------------

### translatableTabs() method signature

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/service-provider-and-macro.md

Signature of the translatableTabs() macro registered in FilamentTranslatableTabsServiceProvider. Accepts optional locales, tab modification, and field modification closures, returning a TranslatableTabs instance.

```php
public function translatableTabs(
    Closure | array | null $locales = null,
    ?Closure $modifyTabsUsing = null,
    ?Closure $modifyFieldsUsing = null
): TranslatableTabs
```

--------------------------------

### addSetActiveTabThatHasValue method signature

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Declares the public method that sets the active tab to the first tab containing a non-empty value. It takes no parameters and returns the component instance for chaining.

```php
public function addSetActiveTabThatHasValue(): static
```

--------------------------------

### modifyTabsUsing with merge: false

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Shows how to replace previously registered tab callbacks instead of merging them, by passing merge: false.

```php
// Replacing (not merging) previously registered tab callbacks:
->modifyTabsUsing($customizeTab, merge: false)
```

--------------------------------

### Combined usage of all three HasExtraConfigs builders

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Combines addDirectionByLocale, addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty, and addSetActiveTabThatHasValue on a TranslatableTabs instance with a schema containing TextInput and Textarea fields.

```php
// Combined with the other pre-made configs:
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->addDirectionByLocale()
    ->addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(emptyLabel: 'Empty')
    ->addSetActiveTabThatHasValue()
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title'), Textarea::make('content')]);
```

### Catching RuntimeException in consumer code

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/errors.md

Shows a try/catch around TranslatableTabs::make() with a Section child that violates the Field-only contract. Note that in a real app the exception may surface through Filament's exception handling before the try block catches it.

```php
use RuntimeException;
use AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs\TranslatableTabs;
try {
    TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
        // rendering a Section here violates the Field-only contract
        ->schema([Section::make('meta')->schema([TextInput::make('title')])]);
} catch (RuntimeException $e) {
    report($e); // or render a custom error state
}
```

--------------------------------

### RuntimeException check in getDefaultChildComponents()

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/errors.md

Thrown at render time when any schema child is not a Field instance. The failure message is 'Only instances of type Filament\Forms\Components\Field Supported'.

```php
if (collect($components)->contains(fn ($component) => ! $component instanceof Field)) {
    throw new RuntimeException('Only instances of type ' . Field::class . ' Supported');
}
```

--------------------------------

### Per-instance usage of addDirectionByLocale

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Applies addDirectionByLocale to a TranslatableTabs instance with a schema containing a TextInput field.

```php
// Per instance:
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->addDirectionByLocale()
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```

--------------------------------

### TranslatableTab class declaration

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tab.md

Full class definition for TranslatableTab, extending Filament's Tab with locale stamping and retrieval. The $locale property is uninitialized until locale() is called.

```php
<?php
namespace AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs;
use Filament\Schemas\Components\Tabs\Tab;
class TranslatableTab extends Tab
{
    protected string $locale;
    public function locale(string $locale): static
    {
        $this->locale = $locale;
        return $this;
    }
    public function getLocale(): string
    {
        return $this->locale;
    }
}
```

--------------------------------

### getLocales implementation body

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Builds the locale map by evaluating locale labels and locales. For list-form locales, missing labels cause undefined-array-key warnings and null values. If locales() was never called, accessing $this->locales raises a typed property initialization error.

```php
$localeLabels = $this->evaluate($this->localeLabels);
return collect($this->evaluate($this->locales))
    ->mapWithKeys(
        fn ($label, $locale) => is_int($locale)
        ? [$label => $localeLabels[$label]]
        : [$locale => $label]
    )
    ->toArray();
```

--------------------------------

### Extend Pest with TestsFilamentTranslatableTabs

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/testing-helpers.md

Registers the testing helper class with Pest's extend method for use in tests.

```php
use AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs\Testing\TestsFilamentTranslatableTabs;
pest()->extend(TestsFilamentTranslatableTabs::class);
```

--------------------------------

### modifyFieldsUsing method signature

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Signature for the modifyFieldsUsing method. It accepts a Closure and an optional merge boolean. The closure is invoked per cloned field in each tab, and merge controls whether the closure is appended to or replaces the existing closure list. Returns static for chaining.

```php
public function modifyFieldsUsing(Closure $closure, bool $merge = true): static
```

--------------------------------

### addSetActiveTabThatHasValue

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Sets the active tab to the first tab that contains any non-empty value. If no tab has a value, the first tab is selected.

```APIDOC
## addSetActiveTabThatHasValue
### Description
Calls the inherited `activeTab(...)` with a closure that selects the first tab holding any non-empty value. If no tab has a value, tab index 1 (the first tab) is selected.
### Method
`addSetActiveTabThatHasValue`
### Signature
```php
public function addSetActiveTabThatHasValue(): static
```
### Parameters
None.
### Return
`static` — the component instance for chaining.
### Example
```php
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->addSetActiveTabThatHasValue()
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```
```

--------------------------------

### addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(string $emptyLabel): static

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/has-extra-configs.md

Registers a modifyTabsUsing closure that adds an empty badge to tabs when all fields are empty. Accepts a string label for the badge. Returns static for chaining.

```APIDOC
## addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(string $emptyLabel): static
### Description
Registers a `modifyTabsUsing` closure that adds an empty badge to tabs when all fields are empty. Accepts a string label for the badge. Returns `static` for chaining.
### Method
`addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty`
### Parameters
- **$emptyLabel** (string) - Required - The label to display on the empty badge.
### Return
- **static** - The component instance for chaining.
### Usage Example
```php
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(emptyLabel: 'Empty')
    ->schema([TextInput::make('title')]);
```
### Notes
- Can be combined with other pre-made configs.
```

### Override default locale with locales() method

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/README.md

Use the locales() method to override the default locales on the fly. The closure can return an array of locale codes or an associative array mapping codes to labels. Apply it to a single field or a TranslatableTabs component.

```php
$localesFn = function () {
    return ['ar', 'en'];
    // also you can override label using:
    return [
        'ar' => 'Arabic',
        'en' => 'English'
    ]
}
// Single Field
TextInput::make('title')
    ->translatableTabs()
    ->locales($localesFn);
// Multiple Fields
TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
    ->locales($localesFn)
    ->schema([
        Forms\Components\TextInput::make("title"),
        Forms\Components\Textarea::make("content")
    ]);
```

--------------------------------

### getDefaultChildComponents field cloning

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/translatable-tabs.md

Inside getDefaultChildComponents, for each locale and source component, the field is cloned and renamed with the locale suffix. This is part of the algorithm that builds per-locale tabs.

```php
$field = $component
    ->getClone()
    ->name("{$component->getName()}.$locale")
    ->label($component->getLabel())
    ->statePath("{$component->getStatePath(false)}.$locale");
```

--------------------------------

### translatableTabs()

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/api-reference/service-provider-and-macro.md

Macro that wraps a Filament form field in a TranslatableTabs component, allowing per-locale editing. Accepts optional inline locales and closures to modify tabs or fields.

```APIDOC
## [MACRO] translatableTabs()
### Description
Macro that wraps a Filament form field in a TranslatableTabs component, allowing per-locale editing. Accepts optional inline locales and closures to modify tabs or fields.
### Signature
```php
public function translatableTabs(
    Closure | array | null $locales = null,
    ?Closure $modifyTabsUsing = null,
    ?Closure $modifyFieldsUsing = null
): TranslatableTabs
```
### Parameters
- **$locales** (Closure(): array<string|int, string> | array<string|int, string> | null) - Optional - Inline locale definition. Passed straight to `TranslatableTabs::locales(...)` when not `null`.
- **$modifyTabsUsing** (?Closure) - Optional - Tab modification closure; passed to `TranslatableTabs::modifyTabsUsing(...)` when not `null`.
- **$modifyFieldsUsing** (?Closure) - Optional - Field modification closure; passed to `TranslatableTabs::modifyFieldsUsing(...)` when not `null`.
### Return Value
Returns a `TranslatableTabs` instance whose label is the field's label (`TranslatableTabs::make($this->getLabel())`), pre-configured with the non-null arguments, wrapping the calling field (`->schema([$this])`).
### Usage Examples
```php
use Filament\Forms\Components\TextInput;

// Minimal — a single translatable field:
TextInput::make('title')
    ->required()
    ->translatableTabs()
    ->columnSpanFull();
```
```php
// With inline locales (closure form) and per-locale customization:
TextInput::make('title')
    ->translatableTabs(
        locales: fn (): array => ['ar', 'en'],
        modifyFieldsUsing: function (Field $component, string $locale) {
            $component->hint($locale);
        },
    );
```
```php
// Global configuration in any service provider's boot():
use AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs\TranslatableTabs;

TranslatableTabs::configureUsing(function (TranslatableTabs $component) {
    $component
        ->localesLabels([
            'ar' => __('locales.ar'),
            'en' => __('locales.en'),
        ])
        ->locales(['ar', 'en'])
        ->addDirectionByLocale()
        ->addEmptyBadgeWhenAllFieldsAreEmpty(emptyLabel: __('locales.empty'))
        ->addSetActiveTabThatHasValue();
});

TextInput::make('title')->translatableTabs(); // picks up the global config
```
```

### RuntimeException - Non-Field Schema Children

Source: https://github.com/abdulmajeed-jamaan/filament-translatable-tabs/blob/4.x/_autodocs/errors.md

This error is thrown when a component registered via TranslatableTabs::schema() is not an instance of Filament\Forms\Components\Field. It occurs at render time when Filament hydrates the default child components.

```APIDOC
## RuntimeException - Non-Field Schema Children
### Description
Thrown when a component registered via `TranslatableTabs::schema()` is not an instance of `Filament\Forms\Components\Field`. This occurs at render time when Filament hydrates the default child components.
### Trigger Condition
- Any component registered via `TranslatableTabs::schema([...])` or wrapped via the `translatableTabs()` macro is not an instance of `Filament\Forms\Components\Field`.
- Components that are `Field` subclasses (e.g., `TextInput`, `Textarea`, `Select`, `Repeater`) pass; layout components (`Section`, `Grid`, `Tabs`) or custom non-field components fail.
### Source Location
`src/TranslatableTabs.php:120`, inside `getDefaultChildComponents()`:
```php
if (collect($components)->contains(fn ($component) => ! $component instanceof Field)) {
    throw new RuntimeException('Only instances of type ' . Field::class . ' Supported');
}
```
### Failure Message
`Only instances of type Filament\Forms\Components\Field Supported`
### Catching in Consumer Code
```php
use RuntimeException;
use AbdulmajeedJamaan\FilamentTranslatableTabs\TranslatableTabs;

try {
    TranslatableTabs::make('anyLabel')
        // rendering a Section here violates the Field-only contract
        ->schema([Section::make('meta')->schema([TextInput::make('title')])]);
} catch (RuntimeException $e) {
    report($e); // or render a custom error state
}
```
### Prevention
Validate schema children yourself before assigning `schema()`: wrap plural-field logic in a `Repeater` (itself a `Field`) instead of a `Section`.
```
